The Fate of the Orlando }{ OOC

Now, as far as ships go, the Orlando has been around for an age, probably the third oldest ship still around. Lenore & Esteem probably being around longer.

A lot of crew have come and gone - Ceren herself has seen three different crews since she joined - and the current one is pretty much down to Ceren, Roark and Fiona. Possibly Sal as well.

I'm not saying I want to get rid of, or delete the Orlando, but I'm sayin' it has been around a whiiiiile and there are new ships popping up that would like a chance to shine and go through some stories themselves.

I do like how Ceren became the Captain for a while, but I think it's a testament that she wasn't quite ready for this that it'd kinda go quiet once she did. It's not her ship. She was only taking care of it and keeping it going. That said, I wanna start using her again and maybe move her on to another ship.

Unless, of course, there are objections to this. If people still want this ol' girl (the ship, not Ceren ) to stick around and Ceren as the Captain, I'll do it.

Or someone else could take control and become the new Captain. I'm not fussed.

I got to admit I miss having Sid over there with Ceren and the Orlando. I feel a bit the same with the Trinity James isn't around and has come and gone a bit giving Sid the chance to take charge of a ship a bit. Not where Sid wants to be but a good spot for him at the same time.


As for the Orlando it holds a special place in my heart as she was my first ship but I can see the wanting to move on with Ceren in some way. Is Roark and Fi around enough to give the ship one final run maybe. I got some ideas floting around and I could ptivate message you about it for some plotting ideas for a final run for the Orlando if she is to go out i think she should be to go out with a bang!

That would also be a good idea. To have it go down in a blaze o' glory or something. A testament to the fact it was a Browncoat ship an' all that. Not that Ceren was ever much of a Browncoat lol.

But if Fi and Ro wanna keep going with it, I don't mind. I just feel it was time to move on and get Ceren out there working again like in the old days. As a Merc! I do kinda miss 'er.

I'm all up for the going out with a bang if anyone else is haha.

I wouldn't want to make the decision on that. It's just my personal opinion-- how I am haha-- but I'd rather someone wasn't playing my character. And I wouldn't want to do it. That's not really a decision we should make. Besides that, the Orlando is pretty empty anyway. I'd rather move Ceren on to ships that are active and need crew as opposed to struggling to fill up another ship with people.

Unless of course they all flock back after I post this and adamantly state that the ship not be put out of commission, but I feel it's time to give the new ships chance to rise up in the 'Verse, you know? Orlando has been around a while. Time to let the ol' girl rest, I say. Let the other ships have their amazing adventures, too.
