The crew had spent the better portion of the day before loading the supplies on the ship as they had they had noticed the unusual sight of Alliance troops making landfall there and setting up. This was exactly what Sidney had hoped to avoid, and is exactly what they had managed to do while on the ground. They didn't have any cargo to hide bit it was still best to avoid alliance at all cost.
Unlucky for them as soon as they made orbit they had recieved a hail from an Alliance cruiser, the Esteem. It was in orbit and was demanding to board the Trinity, its weapons hot and ready to put them down if they didn't respond. Sidney was in the cockpit with Dani as they were making orbit while the rest of the crew wa off doing what they do. "Go ahead and take us in Dani, doesn't look like we have much choice. Just make it slow." Sidney told her as he went over and grabbed the intercom.
"We're going to be boarded by an Alliance crusier, get everything in order and hide anything you don't wont found." He relised the mic to the intercom and began to make his way to the cargo bay. They needed everything looking just right so they could make this quick and as painless as possible.

The day before had been a long day and Sidney was even grumpier then usual. Every time they had ended up anywhere near the core though he was like that. She had learned over their time together that he had a disdain for the Alliance and she understood. Being this close must have just brought it out in him.
Today though, it was their day or relaxation in fact they had a lot of those to come on the long trip to New Cannan. Kalli was a bit sore from the had work the day before and was glad to be just restting. She had been laying on the couch in the common area when the call came across the intercom.
An Alliance crusier, coming for them? Lucky for them they were carrying legal cargo. The problem was all the brown coats on the ship and her of course. She had nothing to hide except herself her father was a former Alliance Admiral and had alot of ties still left with the Navy. She had left home along time ago and hadn't looked back since then and she really didn't want one of her fathers old buddies telling him where to find her.
She sprung up and ran down to the cargo bay jumping down most of the stairs to get to the main floor of the room. "What's going on, Whats the plan?" She really hoped they had some way to not have to be boarded though knowing the Alliance it wasn't like they had much of a choice.

Roger was patiently and methodically cleaning and prepping his weapons for the mission ahead. Loading the cargo had been pretty straightforward so whatever part of the plan that the duke expected to go to hell was still ahead. The gunhand was going to be ready to accomplish the mission over a mountain of bodies if need be.
Unfortunately it seemed the most apparent threat was not lowlife scum or even just average mercenaries like himself but an Alliance boarding party. Just perfect. There was nothing to hide, or so they were told, but getting boarded was never a good thing. Slowed down the mission and their schedule, Alliance would end up ransacking the ship for nothing, and on top of that they might decide to be assholes and cite the captain, impound the ship, or even arrest the crew for some bullshit infraction. That was all possible without four Browncoat officers on-board, the duke's man, Cadan, as well as whatever Tari really was. If Roger knew the others better then he could probably add them all to the list of personalities that raise red flags to Alliance inspectors.
Roger quickly finished the gun he was working on, cleaned the mess up and put the others away before heading up to meet the rest of the crew. He was still carrying one pistol on him in his shoulder holster. Not like carrying a gun was illegal and if the cargo doors opened and the Alliance weren't in a talking mood then it was best to be able to put up some fight. If things went smoothly then an Alliance grunt would have the highlight of his day taking the weapon from a compliant Roger.
"'Get everything in order', does that mean barricade the entryway and prepare to repel borders?" he jested once Sidney showed up.

Cadan was doing his best to keep out of view of the captain. Thips quarters were all assigned to someone except for one when Layla and him had caught a ride with them. The extra room of course was given to Layla especially since it was the farthest room from where Cadan was. That left Cadan with one of the rustic shuttles. There was no bed in it and it was cold and seemed as if a death trap but it was definatly better then being out in the cargo bay where James could have put him.
That is where he found himself when the call came across the ship that they were to be boarded. It came a no surprise of course, he had tipped them off after all. The Chief of Security of the ship knew he was going to be on it and had told him his identity would be safe. A good thing to if the crew found out it could lead to him finding himself taking a long walk out an open airlock.
Cadan took his tome getting up and walking down to the cargo bay where the crew was gathered. He would much rather stay there in the shuttle and not have to face the captain or his first mate who both seemed to have a decent dislike for him. WHen he did arrive he hung to the back of the cargo bay keeping mostly out of sight. No need to be up in front.

Layla had been sitting in the dining area when she heard Sid's announcement overhead. A confused look crossed her face, why would they be getting boarded? She hadn't had any run-ins with the alliance before so she chalked it up to a normal thing. Sighing layla pulled her id from her back pocket, giving it the once over. "Layla Disanto" as it should say, but only on this document. James had gotten it for her for any possibility of this exact situation.
She couldn't very well give them her id as Layla Clark could she, that would raise way too many questions considering legally she was a missing person. No, this was the only time she could use her last name of Disanto.
As she headed out toward the cargo bay Layla slipped the documentation back into her pocket. Once reaching there she noticed Cadan and smiled at him, placing herself standing next to him in back. Sid and James had made mention of the location of her quarters for this trip but she had no intention of using them. She'd drag the entirety of that room to the shuttle if need be. She would dare anyone to question her too.

Tari Delaney. That was her name today, or at least for now while there was a bunch of alliance sniffing around the Trinity. Miss Delaney was a squeeky clean ident, a woman from a high end consultation firm known to travel around the 'verse to visit clients. A friend in the firm had set it up a few years ago for her. It was the one ID she had that wouldn't raise any red flags or questions.
The thief pushed aside the large dresser in her room and removed the panel she had losened. Everything that could be tracable, unique or raise curiosity was shoved inside, the panel replaced. The dresser was put back into place before she left the room to make her way to the cargo bay with the others.
Once there she made note of where everyone was, rolling her eyes at Cadan, James' sister standing close to him. That situation had Tari all kinds of suspicious, she would wait another day or so before confronting him on that and this job. For now she sauntered up to Sidney, handing him a slip of paper. On it was the alias she would be using today, in case he had any notion of doing introductions. She smiled sweetly at him and Roger before heading back to the stairs. Tari took a seat on what had become her normal seating preference, the catwalk, with her feet dangling over. Leaning against the cold bars she sighed and waited for this to be over. They had a job to get to.

James had been in a deep sleep dreaming about what had went down on Paquin when he rescued Layla. He had shot his way through the proxy house killing several armed men that posed a threat to the rescue of his sister. It had been a rare moment for James in which he kill a man that surrendered. He showed no mercy and who could blame him it was his baby sister.
He woke up to Sid's announcement and immediately hopped out of bed and got ready. James had been captain of Trinity for three years now and he had been stopped by the Alliance once. That lead him to believe one of the crew had tipped them off for one reason or another. He don't know the majority of the crew that Sid had recruited. It wouldn't have been Roger a fellow browncoat and the cook was too innocent.
That left the thief whom Sid seemed to trust and of course Cadan. If it had been the thief then the Alliance would have stopped the ship already. Which left him with Cadan. Grabbing his cane and limping to the cargo bay arriving after the majority of the crew he limped up to Cadan and with everything he could muster sent a left hook his way "You son of a whore, you tipped them off didn't you"

Cadan smiled as Layla walked up to stand beside him. This would be a simple check and they would be on there way nothing to really worry about or atleast that is what he figured. "ello love." He said to her with a wink. She had all her bases covered and he knew he would have no issues as long as the rest of the crew had nothing major to hide this would be a simple run.
Cadan was caught comepletly off guard with James' punch he stumbled back tripping to the floor. He wasn't used to being punched. He had always done his best to avoid being in fight but that didn't mean he couldn't defend himself.
He srambled to his feet and left a scowl envelope his face. James was right but he had no evdince to know the truth. "Wot the bleedin' Gypsy Nell 're ya thinknig." He said as he steady himself. He looked James up and down as he walked over to him. His fists balled and ready to return the favor. "You're askin' for Rubble in your condition me China."
Cadan raised his fist up to his side readying to rear back and stike James at his side where he was injured. James may be stronger then him but he was in no shape to fight, not now at least and Cadan's thoughts weren't on the rest of the crew that would back him up. As Cadan ready himself though he was inturrpted but a sound that would halt anyone in their tracks.

Kalli hear the exchance behind her from James to Cadan then the impending fight to follow. The situation was already a mess with the Alliance there and the last thing they needed was a fight to introduce the Alliance to the crew. If things weren't settled before they were boarded then this situation would prove ugly for them all.
As she stood there for a second just watching trying to decide what to do she could feel the ship make contact with the Esteem. They would be opening the hatch on their side soon and if the Trinity didn't follow suit it would be trouble for them.
She walked over as she could see Cadan's anger build. She drew her revolver that Sidney had given to her then closed the distance the rest of the way. As she raised it she cocked the hammer back and could instantly tell Cadan had heard. SHe planeted the barrle against his head. "That is enough, from both of you. Your going to get us all killed and I am not willing to die for either of you."
She trusted Sidney and that men she trusted James so she felt no need to pull a gun on him as well. "I'll deal with the Alliance when they board the ship. You two just shut the gor'ram hell up and play nice. We can deal with this after they have left the ship" No one had seen Kalli be this forward or ever take charge of a situation. She knew she had to though, Her fathers reputation was probibly the best chance they had to walk away from this with no issues.

Meilin stood in the cargo bay, feeling a little anxious about this Alliance boarding. She didn't have anything to worry about personally, her ident card would prove her to be squeaky clean. There wasn't anything she had in her possession that she had to worry about. Most of it was kitchen stuff anyways. However, other members of the crew had histories that could get them in trouble. It must be secondhand worry.
She pulled her sweater tighter around herself and glanced around at the crew. It was legal cargo, the Alliance was just doing its job and being nosy. Nothing to worry about. Nothing to worry about at all.
James limped in to join the crew, moving right over to Cadan and accusing him of tipping off the Alliance. James delivered a punch that seemed impressive to her, considering his injuries. "Hey!" Even she knew that moments before they were supposed to have Alliance board the ship was the wrong time for violence. Kalli had already moved past her though, drawing her revolver and aiming it at Cadan. Meilin had never seen her take charge like that. Good for her.

When Sidney arrived in the Cargo bey the crew was beginning to assemble as he had requested. Sidney looked over the cargo pulling the inventory slips from the cargo so that he would have it to present to the purple bellies when they boarded. The ship was mostly ready to go. He had been tipped off about Alliance moving in on Persephone when he last contacted Amaya. She had kept herself informed about nearly everything that went on and he had made it a regular process to keep up to date with her.
He hadn't figured though that they would get stopped so he hadn't had everyone check to make sure all their paperwork was in order. Midway through getting all the papers James walked in just after the others and went for Cadan. He seemed to think Cadan was involved in the issues and to be honest Sidney hadn't thought that far in to it yet but with James' accusation it donned on Sidney that tht was a likely option.
Before Sidney was able to respond and deal with the situation Kalli had jumped to it and put an end to the situation. Cadan would have a bit of explaining to do that was for sure but Kalli was right for now they needed to deal with the Alliance. They could worry about spacing him later if he was involved in this.
"You heard her, lets deal with this later." Sidney walked over to the hatch just after the ship made the conction and when he heard the Esteem open its end of the hatch. The though of just detacting now crossed his mind as a possiblity. It would take out all the Alliance standing on the other side but there was no way for the Trinity to make it out of their range before being shot out of the skies if they did. "Lower the gun Kalli I'm opening the hatch."
He waited just long enough for her to lower the weapon and then opened it up. it would only be a matter of seconds till the Security team was on board now.

Sibil readied her weapon as the hatch of the Trinity opened. She was on the job, all business. Once the way was clear she signaled her team to follow behind her. The Chief took the lead. As she entered the firefly class the entire view was taken in. Making note of all of the people in the cargo area. She had spotted Cadan in the back but didn't linger too long, it looked as though there had been a recent fight between him and another.
"I am Lieutenant Commander Sibil Tucker, Chief of Security for Alliance Cruiser The Esteem. I'd like to thank you all for your cooperation, we'll try to make this routine inspection quick and painless to get you folks on your way." Opening speech. Check. She walked closer to the man closest to them, pushing her weapon aside, taking in the fact that he was probably in charge. He had that look about him.
"Is everyone on your ship down here sir? If you could, Ensign Secore will take your paperwork." Sibil motioned over the younger girl to come over, she'd take the documents to Lieutenant Owen for proper review.

As the security team swiftly made their way on board the Trinity Sidney stood still Papers and Ident Card in hand. It only took a few seconds till the person in charge of the opporation identified herself in tipical scripted Alliance fasion. Routine check, yeah right, more like purple belly harrassment.
He handed the papers over to her and looked over the security team, evaluating their efforts. They seemed rigid but prepared, like had been trained but still lacked experiance. The Chief of Security was the exception she was fluid and skilled. The hardest target of the group. "Everything you need is right there."
He kept himself still in his position, no need to make this in to an issue until they did, then they could see who had the better team here. Hopefully though they would all be able to walk from this without it coming to that an Alliance cruiser isn't the place to make a stand unless you plan it to be your last.
"Can I ask what this is about. Seems like a waste to board a ship carrying livestock supplies and food stuff." That was in fact all the ship had in the cargo hold. Basic supplies that where bound for New Cannan. "Crew and cargo is all certified and I have the departure and Arrival paperwork for New Cannan as well." He pulled the papers from his pocket slowly and handed them over as well. The Duke had taken great care in making sure everything they would need was prepared for them.

Tigh watched as Sibil's team moved forward in to the Trinity. They had practiced these drills nearly non-stop since he had handed down the orders to Sibil about coming to Persephone. She worked them hard but the training seemed to have paid off.
Tigh followed behind them with Orville to observe how she proceeded and to observe Orville's portion of the work. He would remain quiet through out the dealings. It wasn't his place to interfere with the Chief of Security's actions. He looked over the crew to see if they reacted to her presence and see how her men would deal with any situations that aroused.

The others began congregating to meet their friendly neighborhood Alliance cruiser as it made another typical unwarranted search. Roger wasn't exactly expecting any action before the Alliance showed up... well actually that wasn't entirely true. He had always suspected Cadan of being capable of turning on them at any second. What was odd was that Cadan was the recipient of the action this time. James, still recovering as he was, had entered the cargo bay, walked right up the the man, and laid him out with one solid punch.
The accompanying accusations about Cadan ratting them out to the Feds were easily believable for Roger though the logic behind that plan wasn't. If they got pinched with stolen goods then it traced back to Cadan and the duke. Cadan was even on the ship to get pinched with the rest of them and if the goal wasn't to have the Feds catch them then why would he tip them off in the first place? Nothing about that made sense. Then again, it was very possible Cadan wasn't a criminal mastermind and hadn't thought this thing through... or he could have even been a plant from the start, a Fed replacement for the real Cadan or a disgruntled employee turning on the duke.
Well, the situation resolved itself fairly quickly. Roger would of course come in to back James up but he wasn't going to step in unless the injured captain was in serious danger. Kalli stopped it all pretty quick though, her reaction helped recover Roger's image of her skills from the last time he'd seen her draw that weapon. She was much calmer this time and with a mind toward handling the situation and prioritizing what their current primary objective was, dealing with the Feds not fighting the duke's man.
Sidney had either been in the same camp as Roger, not ready to get involved just yet or simply beaten to it by Kalli, or maybe it was just his previous nonchalance at having guns pointed around showing again. Whatever his actual thinking, he ordered weapons away and opened the hatch. Roger relaxed his hand which had been ready to draw on Cadan if necessary. It was time to smile and act like they all got along as the security team boarded.
The Purple-bellies entered weapons drawn and recited a speech. What a load of crap. Nothing routine about it especially considering the Alliance had lost their hold over Persephone ages ago. They had no right to be there let alone searching ships for no reason. The fact that the Alliance didn't respect the rights of anyone was just one of many reasons why the wrong side won the war. Stopping the ship, searching it, seizing any cargo... the Alliance had no right to do any of it. The crew were only cooperating because the Alliance was literally pointing a gun to their head. Though he had many things to say, Roger kept quiet for now at least.
