The Duke had left the meeting and now it was just Tari, Roger and him. The silence persisted though and it was no surprise. For sure the duke had ears everywhere in his own castle. There was no question everyone had their issues with this job and it's simplicity. Something was amiss and they had thier ideas. "Shall we make our way back to the Trinity and go enjoy the rest of the night." Sidney said as he walked back in to the office and then down the stairs.
The evening was getting latter and it wouldn;t be long till the sun set. Tomorrow morning would lead them off on their way to deal with this job and they needed to get their plans in order. It didn't take but moments till they arrived back at the Trinity, two guards still at the door. They would check them again on their way back out no doubt. He walked through the cargo bay and straight up the stairs to the cockpit. The farthest point from the enterance he could get with the others in tow.
"Alright speak up, what is he not telling us. What's the thought. Tari I had you come in for a fresh mind in there, I am hoping it paid off." He made an effort to make it seem like she wasn't anything more then another observer at the meeting, not that he liked the idea of not telling Roger what was going on but he had given his word to her he wouldn't expose her. His word was something people could count on till the bitter end.

Sidney was apparently thinking along the same lines and decided that their stay on the estate, at least for the moment, was to come to an end and they could discuss things in the relative safety of their own ship. Sid led them back aboard Trinity and to the cockpit before starting things off. Roger didn't exactly buy the explanation that Tari was there for a "fresh perspective." He could have gotten that by bringing Kalli or someone else who was unlikely to be involved in the plotting or even the job itself but was still part of the crew. Still, the captain wasn't telling the real reason so Roger wasn't going to confront her about it.
"Well he ain't tellin' us why we're the ones doin' it. That's for sure. Let's look at what he's offerin'. Big fat payday once the job is done, right? We become kings for a day on his fancy estate if we so choose. He's got this guy on Persephone at our disposal. Everything has been prepared, even the stuff you just asked for a minute ago is already ready. He's put everything into this job already and done most of the work for us. Sure, it ain't gonna be as easy as he makes it out to be but it don't sound hard either."
"If it's so ruttin' easy then why is he giving it to us? He never worked with ya'll before, right? We could royally screw this up. For all he knows we're all a bunch of incompetent morons. Give it to one of the dozens if not hundreds of men he's got in his pocket with proven loyalty and skill. Hell, forgetting that why is he overpayin' us? Not that I'm complainin'. I tell you what. I don't suppose he became a duke with a big floating island and an 'empire' to manage by overpaying for easy jobs. This job's gotta be a lot more difficult and a hell of a lot more dangerous than he's lettin' on."

Tari followed Sidney along with Roger back to the ship, thankful to be away from the Duke. He made her uneasy truthfully and being around all those..possessions distracted her a little. Once they made it to the bridge Sid spoke to her, asked what her thoughts were. She was a bit surprised that he played it off as if she was still just a regular passenger. That wouldn't work for much longer though.
She listened as Roger spoke, he was on the right track, the thief had the same feelings really. Once he was finished she put her own opinions out there. "Roger is correct, he's made this look much too easy. There's definitely something going on here that we haven't been told, and chances are won't be told. Even if we ask the proper questions. The power this man has..it doesn't matter that he's never worked with the Trinity before. I'm sure he's got a file on each and everyone on this ship. He knows who he's hired." Her eyes flicked to Sid. Which means he can estimate what everyone's role on this job would be. So what was really going to happen when things went down.

SIdney paced around the cockpit as the others passed their judgement on what the job really was. The facts that weren't given. SIdney wasn't happy not at all. Not with the job or what the others had to say. He felt the same way and was hoping they would think him over paranoiad about it. No, it seemed they were all on the same page. "The cargo is legal were told. That will be checked when we get there." He continued to pace "I'll contact a friend who might be able to give us some more information on what we could be missing. Never know she might be able to turn something up."
The friend he was talking about was Amaya she knew a fair share about, almost everything. If there was something they were missing she might be their best bet. "If the cargo is legal then there is something on New Cannan that we need to focus on. Maybe these people we are to make the drop with aren't the friendly type. We'll need everyone at there peak there."
He continued to mumble out what he was thinking to the others. "I want this to be quick on New Cannan and Persephone. In and out and no delays." He said as he slammed his fist down on the panel infront of him. He didn't like the idea of being lied to by the Duke but this job was t good to pass up even if there were added complications. "Find out anything you can, how ever you can."

It seemed like they were all on the same page. The situation sucked but they had no choice. Best to be on guard and ready for anything while getting the job done.
"Are we willing to go high profile on this job? My skill set isn't exactly tailored to being quick, preventing delays, and gaining information without roughing a few people up and carrying a big gun."
It was a legitimate question. There were two of them in the room and Roger assumed Sidney's comments were more directed at Tari, whatever it is she really was, but he certainly wasn't excluded. If they had no fear from the Alliance then there wasn't really a reason to stay low either. Be big and threatening. It would keep third parties from getting involved and maybe even distract their target while the subterfuge was going on in the background.
