Tari remained quiet through-out the exchanges of introductions and such. She'd been rather surprised that Cadan had showed up with a girl, who turned out to be the Captain's younger sister. Oh my how the suspicions were flying through her mind. It was just all too much of a coincidence. She kept her eyes on the other thief, giving him a nod when he noticed her.
She could tell Sidney did not appreciate the fact that Cadan had shown up with Layla, it made her smile in amusement. When Sid called out for them to get things moving Tari hopped down from the catwalk and pulled the hood of her jacket over her head, hiding herself from those on Persephone who would recognize her.
As they made way to the warehouse Tari fell back from the group a little, less noticeable that way. Large groups draw attention and here she didn't need the attention.

So, Sidney would remain in command despite James' return. Not exactly a surprise considering James was still recovering, the mission had already begun, and the crew was filled with a few faces he didn't know. Then again, the mission had only gotten past the planning phase and parts of the crew were hardly known by Sidney too. No worries though. James would take his ship back in good time.
Now fully in charge, Sidney got their contact to get things moving and show them the warehouse. They needed all the hands they could get to move the cargo but the large mobile group was a tactical nightmare for Roger as he expected danger to be around any corner and come from any passerby. To start, James was injured, unlikely to put up much of an effective fight let alone get to cover in a hurry. His younger sister as well as the cook, Meilin, weren't exactly helpless but then again weren't going to be useful in a firefight. Kalli had the spirit to fight but if their time on the Trinity was any indicator she unfortunately lacked the training. Sakura was improving but Roger wasn't willing to rely 100% on her. Tari was still a mystery as far as what was really going on with her. He had no real grasp of Art's past or combat prowess if he had any. And the pilot, Dani? He knew even less about her and wasn't hopeful.
That left him and Sidney as capable and dependable if things went to hell. And if things went south according to the duke's plan he was willing to bet that Cadan would take Sidney down first. Piling on to that the threat of any number of unrelated criminals trying to take their cargo and now Sidney's tip about possible Alliance intervention... the 'easy' part of the mission was anything but. Odds were that it would go smoothly but if Roger were planning a trap, this is when he'd spring it, when they were most exposed.
Sidney was in the front of the group so Roger took position in the rear so he could watch over the rest of them. As they made their way through the city to the nearby warehouse he kept his hand hovering over his holster at all times. Luckily their destination wasn't too far away and they arrived without incident. The hard part was still to come, however, as they'd have to travel the same distance but now they'd all be preoccupied with the cargo. Sometimes Roger wished that he could walk down a street without constantly envisioning ways that the situation could turn into a bloodbath but that paranoid vigilance had paid off a few times in the past, even saved his life once or twice.
