Sidney and the rest of the crew had made it back from dropping off the supplies and all the other tasks at hand. Though it was far from a success. Tari was in bad shape, Sidney had taken a hit as well but nothing to be overly concerned about. Most importantly Kalli was missing.
When Sidney got back to the ship the first thing he did was go to look for Kallis shuttle in a haste. It hadn't made it back. He had seen it leave the warehouse and head in the opposite direction of the Trinity, a bad sign. All the running and moving around had left Sidney limping on his right leg. Nothing had happened to it today but the old wounds acted up when he exerted himself. He did his best to cover it up from the rest of the crew. He never could allow himself to show weakness, Anger sure but not weakness.
"Where the hell is the shuttle, where's Kalli." He belted to everyone else. Then he made his way back down the stairs from the catwalk and toward the infirmary. "Whats Tari's condition. Someone ruttin tell me how she is doing. Now!" Sidney still had his revolver in hand swinging it around. He was fuming, ready to kill someone for this. "What the hell happened in there Cadan. How did she get shot."
He stormed in to the infirmary but only stayed a moment. Tari was still breathing. He placed his hand un her unhurt shoulder. "We'll take care of this Tari. Don't you worry" He said to her softly even if she wasn't awake to hear it. then He stormed back out of the cargo bay. "Someone Figure out where Kalli is!" He raise the revolver pointing it at one of the lockers in the corner of the cargo bay. His jaw tightened, his hands firmly around the gun His finger slowly pulling back. Then he stop lowering the gun to yell again. "What are you all standing around for figure something out!"

Tari had been drifting in and out of a state of awake, if you could call it that. With the drugs going through her system and the shock still affecting her slightly from being shot she was a little...less like herself. In one of her more lucid moments she could hear yelling, a male's voice. It was coming closer. Tari wasn't sure if it was a good or bad thing. It didn't matter though, she couldn't do anything, much less move.
Her eyes fluttered open slightly as she was touched, it was Sidney's voice that broke through the barrier. A slight smile crossed her lips, her voice was a little broken - soft and raspy. "..hay old men..thanks. bit of a rough shape for me.." Tari raised her arm just enough to touch his arm, her smile disappeared, remembering about Kalli. "got ta find 'er sid, be fas..time's short.." In her mind the words came out clear and understandable but in reality it didn't work quite as well.
Tari's arm dropped as the darkness called her back to sleep. She tried to fight it but it wasn't one for her to win in the condition she was in.

Back on-board Trinity, safe and sound... well mostly safe. Kalli was gone, Tari was in serious condition, and Sidney'd been hit. He didn't seem to be showing signs of discomfort from the wound itself but Roger figured that the shock might be contributing to Sid's continued outbursts and lack of direction as their leader.
Every second that there was yelling and inaction, Kalli was getting further away. Sid had reason to be upset but he was unfair to everyone, even Cadan. This time it wasn't his fault, again assuming it wasn't an elaborate and pointless ruse. Their team had been caught off guard but so had the main group when they were flanked from the rooftop and Kalli had been snatched too. Cadan had fought his way out of the warehouse, got Tari back to the ship to receive medical attention, and then came back into the fight to help and brought along two others to turn the tide of battle. Maybe he wasn't as vigilant as he could have been but he'd certainly made up for it by his other actions. There was no reason for Roger to say any of this though. Cadan had kept secrets from them and worked in the duke's interest rather than the Trinity's. Roger wasn't about to go give the man a pat on the back but if it came to it he would defend him if Sidney got in the mood to assault or even kill Cadan.
Other than that Roger really couldn't do much more to help other than what he was already doing. It wasn't his field of expertise to track the shuttle or get the ship in the air to pursue. He'd be better off getting out and running after the shuttle than trying something like that. For now Roger was busy getting ready for war if that's what was required to get Kalli back. Concealment was thrown out the window as he ditched the coat, and donned a bulletproof vest and then a tactical vest over that. The submachinegun gave way for a full assault rifle. Now he just sat in the cargo bay loading round after round into his magazines, not stopping until he was out of one or the other.

Meilin had hardly moved since everyone came back from the disastrous mission. She'd sat down on a crate in the cargo bay, still holding the rifle she had grabbed. Sidney's shouting wasn't helping much, she was sure, but everyone dealt with this in their own way. She couldn't believe that Kalli had been taken. Meilin considered the girl a friend, and the thought that she was in danger and they didn't know how to save her made Mieilin sick to her stomach. Sakura said Tari would be alright, but she had still been hurt badly. Meilin gripped the rifle a little tighter. This wasn't supposed to happen.
She didn't respond to Sidney's shouting, she just watched Roger methodically loading his guns. Besides the fact that she was trying to tune the shouting out, there wasn't anything she could do to help right now either. In fact, the while situation was making her feel a little useless. She didn't have any skills she could think of to help the crew right now. She didn't even know enough to be an extra gun to back the others up. No one seemed like they would be too excited to sit down and eat either. Maybe she should make some tea. Maybe even tea with a bit of alcohol. Meilin stood up and started heading towards the kitchen, just to have something to do. She should probably return the rifle too.

Cadan's heart was still racing he had never been through anything like that before, yet he had survived it. He started to calm down the second they got to the Trinity but it was short lived as Sidney began to go in to what seemed like a rage. Rightfully so though, this was not what they had signed up for.
For a moment Sidney disappeared in to the infirmary to check on Tari. He had wanted answers from Cadan about Tari, of course at this point Cadan knew he had to say more then things just went wrong in there. He had to confront the crew and offer a way to save Kalli. He looked over at Layla with a face that one could perceive as a final goodbye. There was always the chance that it really was a final goodbye with how made Sidney was.
When Sidney walked out of the infirmary and began to bark orders Cadan paused a moment while the others began to go about their business. Finally Cadan walked up to sidney His heart racing now more then it had in the gun battle moments before."We got spotted. I tried ter stop it, i'm sorry." He could tell this was irritating Sidney but it was only the begining. They took 'er ter the maiden's Mercy." He continued to talk hes eyes met with Sidneys he had to be strong and just say it. "It was Rider's plan. I 'ad nah choice. I tried ter stop it. if I 'ad told ya earlier 'e would 'ave come after the whole crew. I'm..." He was stopped mid way through talking by Sidney's shocking reaction.

Sidneys blood began to boil at the sight of Cadan alone. Then his confession came and things only got worse. He stood there just listening for a while. But at them mention of him knowing this was going to happen all along Sidney could hold himself back any longer.
He was ready to kill Cadan for this, and he diserved it for allowing this to happen. Sidney swiftly raised his fist hitting Cadan in the gut knocking the wind out of him. His other hand went for Cadans neck, wrapping nearly all the way around it. Cadan was much smaller then Sidney and had little chance of fighting back. He pushed against his neck slamming him against the glass window in to the infirmary cracking it slightly.
He reached down with his other hand gabbing his gun and drawing it up to Cadan's eye. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right here and now." He knew he wouldn't have a reason. There was no reason to keep this waste of flesh. He cocked the hammer backand pushed with the barrle just slightly. "one, just one damn reason. Give me one!" Every second that passed his fingers tightened on Cadan's neck.

Layla's adrenalin was still rushing through her body. They had all made it back in one piece for the most part. As soon as they entered the ship she quickly headed off back to the shuttle, grabbing more ammunition for her pistols. Just in case of course. From all of the yelling coming from Sid she could tell their problems were far from over. Kalli had been taken somewhere.
When she came out of the shuttle to join the rest of the crew she could hear Cadan talking, responding to Sid's bellowing. Layla was shocked to hear that he knew where Kalli had been taken, and it would be definitely something they would be discussing later. Right now getting Kalli back was much more important.
She got close enough just as Sid grabbed hold of Cadan. Her eyes widened in fear. With the amount of anger Sidney was feeling she knew from his voice that he would do it. He would kill Cadan. Layla couldn't let that happen. She ran up to the man un-afraid of his wrath, grabbing hold of his arm that held Cadan's neck tightly. Her voice came out loud and commanding, "Stop it Sid! If you wanna put blame on anyone you blame me gorram it. That's your ruttin' reason! Cadan did this because of me, if he didn't do this job the Duke would kill me and everyone I care about just to get his filthy revenge."
Layla tried to pull on Sid's arm for him to let go of Cadan as she continued her rant, "So you want to go slamming folks around and pointing guns you do it to me. I won't have you all blaming Cadan for something that was my fault!" Inside she was angry, about alot of things. Right now though she had to be brave, because even though she didn't think Sidney would do anything to her -- he was still a scary guy with this level of anger.
Her words were partially true and mostly not. She was putting herself out there for Cadan, possibly opening herself up to take alot of heat for the situation. The truth of the matter was she actually had no knowledge of what was supposed to happen on this job, but she and Cadan would discuss that later between just the two of them. For now she'd just accept everyone's anger that would be directed at her.

It was only a few minutes before she returned with the tea and already things had gotten worse. For a moment, she stood there in surprise, watching Sidney strangle Cadan. Her eyes flickered to Layla as she tried to stop Sidney and then something just snapped.
"Ni men dou bi zuei! Enough!" Meilin slammed the tray down and turned to Sidney. "This isn't solving anything. Kalli is out there, depending on us. Now is not the time for this. Leave the ching-wah tsao duh liou mahng for later." She realized she was shouting and took a deep breath. This sort of anger was not how she usually handled things. Meilin glared at Sidney. "Lock him up if you need to, but deal with this later."
Much to her embarrassment, she could feel tears welling up in her eyes. She turned back to the tray, hands balled into tight fists to keep from shaking. It was a good thing she had finally set down the rifle. The tea was all split from her setting down the tray so hard, but she didn't feel the slightest urge to clean it up right now. She was worried, and stressed, and angry. Meilin took another deep, shaky breath to give herself a moment to prevent the tears from coming and forced herself to straighten the cups on the tray. She pulled a rag from her belt and started mopping the spilt tea.

Sakura was still armed with her rifle and wearing her bulletproof vest as she watched the scene of Sidney's anger and his fury being brought upon Cadan with uncertainty of how to feel, especially when Layla had spoken up. The whole crew had definitely signed up for more than they realized, they could never have realized this much unfolding. Putting her gun down, Sakura walked up to Sid, Cadan and Layla. Putting a hand on Sid's shoulder, she looked over at Cadan, then Layla. "It's understandable that he was trying to protect you, but the fact that either of you didn't tell us any of this when we were on our way to the warehouse.." She wanted to punch both Cadan and Layla, but she knew that it would solve nothing.
Turning to Sid, she patted his shoulder once to get him to at least acknowledge that she was there. "Sid, hurting him or killing him won't change anything. If you need to get angry at someone, get angry at that gorram aristocrat Rider. And we have no time to waste pounding down on this joo fuen chse." Sakura was definitely mad at Cadan and Layla; they had gotten whom she could consider one of her closer friends on the ship into a lot of trouble and possibly dead at this moment, but nothing they did to them could change any of that. They were simply pawns on a larger chess set as far as Rider was concerned, thus they would have no value to him she was sure. Putting a hand on Sid's hand, she passively hinted for Sid to lower his hand so she could take a look at his injuries. As far as she could tell so far, there were a few lacerations on his face from the broken glass, maybe a few broken bones on his face if he was unlucky. It would all heal with time, but she wasn't so sure it would be the same for the crew's trust in either Cadan or Layla..

Cadan finally came clean with it all but probably at the wrong time and to the wrong person. Sidney was ready to kill the man. Roger jumped up and hurried over to the scene of the confrontation as Layla, Meilin, and then Sakura weighed in to try and avoid bloodshed. One more voice beating a dead horse wouldn't hurt.
"What do ya expect from him? If I were in his situation I woulda played it exactly the same way. Yeah, he kept secrets from us but he had to not just for his own sake but for all of us. Rider planned all this and if we don't do the job as planned then at best Rider don't pay us. If we knew the whole plan and refused then Rider might be feelin' a bit vindictive toward the lot of us."
"Cadan did only as much wrong as he had to and he did as much good as humanly possible to make up for it. Maybe you haven't been keepin' up on current events but he carried Tari all the way out of there and then came right back to rejoin the fight. And remember, he ain't a hard ass like you that kills people and carries injured women around in his sleep." Hopefully a little bit of humor would help to snap Sidney out of his rage along with the reason of the argument.
"You're threatenin' to kill the man who just saved the gorram day. Let's just do a tally here of crew. Tari would be dead for certain back in that warehouse if not for Cadan so that's one. He then rallied reinforcements and came to join the main fight so that's four of us out there gettin' flanked and shot up. You got hit and no offense but James ain't exactly in peak fightin' shape. Then we've got Kalli taken to God knows where... oh wait, we know now because Cadan just ruttin' told us. Everyone who was on the mission would be humped if not for him turnin' hero on us."
It was a long winded speech especially coming from Roger who often chose not to speak. Still, if a man's life was on the line it was probably best to say too much rather than too little.
"Instead of killing our own guys we can just go to this ship, kill all of 'em, and get Kalli back. Piece of cake."

James was unable to set off into the warehouse because let's face it he was in no fit state to get involved in a firefight. James made his way to his room close to the bridge and eventually managed to get down there after several attempts. Once down there he shaved and changed his clothes. Combing his hair and throwing on his browncoat he climbed back up the ladder. Grabbing his cane that he left at the hatch. He called up to the bridge and Dani told him the others were back and in the infirmary.
Frak! One of them had been hit. Limping as quick as he could he arrived at the infirmary hearing heated voices. After Roger had finished his rousing speech including James' current condition. Roger couldn't he further from the truth if he had been on Greenleaf during the prison break out then he would know what James was capable of.
He finally decided to make his appearance known "All of you shut the ruttin' hell up" he had heard everything from Kalli being missing to Cadan's betrayal and finally Tari's injury. "Roger is right Cadan's our resident hero" he was being sarcastic. "Your lucky I ain't gonna shoot you right here, right now" James told him and noticing that Sid could very well kill Cadan "If so happens that we need you" he erode Cadan "For now" he had no intention of killing the best thing to happen to his sister but he wouldn't stop Sid.
"Sid drop him, Rogers right we need another gunhand" he then turned to Sakura "Patch do you think that you can sort Tari out?" he asked rhetorically knowing full well the answer to that question. "Sid, Roger can you go to the dining room and formulate a plan to rescue Kalli please while I deal with the two love birds I'll join you two soon" James Clark was back in business. He wasn't playing games anymore. They had their orders.

Art hadn't gone. For whatever reason, he'd stayed behind to help hold down the fort, and had continued to check the engine a dozen or so times to make sure the ship had been ready; no hiccups. With the light of the gunfight having occurred, and overhearing Kalli had also gone misssing, Art was wondering if he should have gone. There might be one less casualty on their side and more on the other. That's what led him to Tari. She'd taken a hit, though doubted it would be the last thing she felt. Sakura was one of the best medics Art had met. Albeit, a little rough on the bedside manner at times, but he'd rather Tari lived than got breakfast in bed afterwards. The dark-clothed mechanic was lurking outside the infirmary. No need to get involved in whatever was going on, just a quiet ghost haunting the relative din of the common area. Sid's outbursts, and then the following arguments were enough that Arthur felt another voice would just add to the noise. He watched through to the operating table, though.
There was no guilt or regret. Art was never one to dwell on what-ifs and maybes. If he ever had, it might've driven him insane years ago. Or to his death. What happened was, unfortunately, what happened. The one thing he'd forgotten, and actually missed, was how Captain-y good ol' James could be. When he wasn't out with Art as his wing-man, of course. The mechanic just leaned casually to the wall, in that same almost solemn quiet he'd been in for the last few weeks. Luckily, it had gone unnoticed. His lack of involvement in a lot of ways just reserved for the fact he was working on repairs. Still, his hand was itching for a gun, and it wasn't the one at his hip. A gun he hadn't picked up in a while.
"Room in that planning for one more?"
Funny, it was like he hadn't even heard his own voice for a long time. It seemed lower, quiet. Like he wasn't himself. Then again, everyone was on edge, now. Art didn't get on edge. He just got very quiet and focused.

Sidney's finger was on the trigger, the kid had no go reason. No that line was only to let him fear for his life a little longer before Sidney killed him. No one would miss him, no one would care that he was gone, at least that is what Sidney had expected. That was quickly proven wrong though.
First Layla confessed her part in this. It was a convincing reason, Cadan had done this to protect Layla. Sidney could see the justification in that but his rage was still tro stong to let him go, and Layla's attempts to pull him off, however unlikely they were, still showed her determination. Even so Sidney's fingers continued to tighten down on Cadans neck.
Then came Meilin, probibly the calmest of the bunch normally, with a rage that nearly match that of Sidney's own. She hd shown a fire that none of them had scene before even Sidney was a bit surprised by it. He took a deep breath trying to calm himself. His blood was still boiling as he looked over the room Sakura and Roger were swiftly approching, Finally some support he though, but even they turned on him.
They both gave their reasons as to why Cadan should be spared. A hero Roger tried to explian to him, a far cry from the truth but he was right about one thing. Cadan knew where to get Kalli and woud be able to help them get to her. Then even James chimed in with his two cents. It seemed Sidney was now alone in his quest to exact revenge.
He pulled Cadan by the neck away from the glass then slammed him back against it one more time and let go. "Fine." He turned with a scowl on his face to face the rest of the crew. "let's figure something out. They are yours to deal with James." Sidney slide his shoulder away from Sakura's palm that had been resting on it and walked over to Roger. "Let's get this figured out. We need to find where the Maiden's Mercy is and how we get on it." He explained to Roger.

As Roger and Sidney began to figure out a way to get Kalli back, Sakura walked over to Cadan and lifted his head up gently with the touch of a doctor's. He had purple bruising on his face from the impact and glass shards had cut his face pretty badly, but nothing that couldn't be healed. "Sit down on the empty bed, I'll get you patched up." Sakura requested to Cadan, though it was more of a command than anything. Looking over to James she knew that he would want to talk to Layla and Cadan, but she wanted to make sure that Cadan wouldn't bleed out during the talk. "Give me a few minutes James, then you're free to take him." Sakura opened a drawer underneath where all the havoc had occurred and pulled out a kit filled with all assortments of medical equipment. She took out a roll of bandages, some antibacterial spray and a tweezer to remove some of the glass shards embedded in Cadan's face. Turning around, she waited for Cadan to get onto the bed before she continued. She also wanted to talk to him one-on-one, but she felt that might not be possible given everyone's angst at the moment.
