Jin realized he hadn't been too 'normal' about the situation and wasn't sure how to respond to Kyla's suspicion. This definitely was not the right time to blurt out that he had been part of the Alliance, it would only scare Kyla to trust him. But he also didn't want to lie to Kyla and part of him still wanted to confess about his past to her. "I've been through a lot in my past.. A lot more than most people that is. Things like this," Jin looked away from Kyla, "Just are not new to me. I've been around things like death, crime and running away. I've been the pursuer and the runner, I've been the victim and the killer. I..." His heart raced as he really considered telling her the truth. What else could he tell her? But again, it was very likely that Kyla would run away from him if she knew he used to be with the Alliance. "There are very good reasons why I'm still alive today and why I'm efficient with weapons... It's hard to explain, but I promise you one day it will make sense."
Jin couldn't risk Kyla running away from him, one of the few handful of people who would be willing to truly help her. He promised himself that when this debacle was all over, he would tell Kyla the truth, whether she ran from him or not. As long as she was safe, Jin felt that he would be able to give Kyla up. Grabbing her hand, Jin looked her in the eyes and smiled. "You have to trust me.. I promise I will make everything make sense and explain once you're safe." Walking again towards the Raaya, Jin considered that chances are someone might have tipped the officials off to them heading towards the Raaya's location and so he began to subtly avoid places on the path with people. Even if it doesn't the officials of their trail, at least it would make them doubt the trail and slow them down. "So where are your parents? If they helped you get away, how come they aren't with you?" Jin hoped he wasn't pushing any buttons, but potentially knowing what contacts knew of the academy that Kyla and Kara came from would help him figure out the best method to get these Alliance officials off of her, if possible.

Ky didn't hide the surprised look on her face as Jin began to explain things. At least sort of explain them. 'I told you! I said something wasn't right about this. It isn't safe with him. He's either running or hunting, don't put your faith in this one Ky.' Ky ignored the voice again, even if it were true she didn't care. She felt safe with him, wanted to be with him. She trusted him.
He looked away from her as some of the details left his mouth, as if he were ashamed. Kyla could relate to that feeling if that was it.
Squeezing his hand she smiled back at him, "Of course I trust you Jin...we all have our secrets. I can't hold it against you, I've had a good share of my own." They continued on, heading toward the Rayya. She needed to mention that she was going to leave. Not that she had figured out how, especially considering the increase of officials in the area. Perhaps it best to stay on until they landed at another dock. That'd give her time to figure out how to tell him too.
Jin brought up a sore topic. Something painful that she didn't even let herself think about, not after Kara had told her. She had wanted to know where her parents were too after her sister had found her. It was hard not to cry. Instead of dwelling and going into the full details Ky settled for the short answer. "They're dead." Her voice was cold but sad at the same time.
They finally got into eye sight of the ship. "What are we going to do? Should we tell everyone...about the need to leave at least?"

When Kyla spoke of leaving, his mind immediately jumped back to his previous thought of just the two leaving the Raaya and the planet. He didn't know what to say, his mind having gone blank at her suggesting such an idea. Then he slowly began to realize she meant telling the Raaya crew that they should all leave the planet. It was more along the lines of something Kyla would say, yet he also didn't know if he truly knew her anymore in light of recent events. For all he knew, Kyla could have been putting up a ruse this whole time, even right now. He couldn't know for sure that Kyla had been trained to hunt down turncoat black operatives. She may have even been doing it unconsciously.
Jin felt stupid that such an idea hadn't hit him initially, yet he also knew that the reason it hadn't was because he wanted to believe that he could trust Kyla with his life. So the ultimate question then was could he? He needed a way to test whether she was consciously, or unconsciously, pushing them towards being caught. "I think we should run away. Just you and me, right now." Jin grasped Kyla's hands tightly, and prayed to whatever omnipotent being might be out there that she would act like her normal self and not want to leave without saying goodbye, at least without being given good reason, "We don't tell them anything, we just go." Jin looked into Kyla's eyes, hoping to see some sort of confliction in her decision, but ultimately for the look of shock in her eyes that would prove that the Kyla he knew was still in control.

Kyla's eyes widened at Jin's suggestion. Sure she'd been planning to leave the ship, but not now, not so abruptly. She wanted to at least say goodbye to her sister, in some way. Obviously she couldn't tell her what her plan was, but to just up and leave? Was that really what was their best chance?
Her voice began in a stumble of words, "Wha? Leave now? Bu..but Jin.." She could hardly believe it, especially that he would go with her. Kyla had just been telling him she wasn't the same anymore, not completely at least. Yet he still wanted to be with her.
She wasn't sure what to do. 'We don't need him Ky, if we're going to leave them, we have to leave him too.'
"No..' There was a slight pause, that was all it took to realize she was answering the voice in her mind. 'I mean..are you sure that's best. Kara..I don't even remember what the last thing I said to her was.." Kyla was feeling so conflicted.

Jin felt a wave of relief rush over him as Kyla hesitated and worried about Kara. It meant that she was still herself. Loosening his grip on Kyla's hands, Jin smiled as he looked into her eyes. "You're right. We'll go to the Raaya and make our decision there. This isn't something we can be too hasty about, but we also can't put too much time into deciding." He knew that not only were Kyla's hunters coming after them, but so were Jin's. Then an interesting thought popped into his head. If these two hunter teams weren't working together, or even yet if one of the teams were not Alliance, then it would be possible to pit the two hunters against each other in confusion. It would possibly hinder both teams from finding Kyla or Jin and would cause a feud that wouldn't end for a while ideally. The only problem was that they would still need to move around fast and not stay in an area for too long, else the hunters will still be able to track them individually.
"We'll go back to the ship so you can get some rest, eat and clean up. We can sit down and plan on what we'll do from there, okay? Jin smiled reassuringly as he pulled Kyla in and hugged her tight. "I'm just really glad that you're okay Ky..." Jin walked down the path of the road again, making sure to move out of sight of large groups of people to keep the Alliance off their trail and the two eventually arrived at the Raaya. Walking in, Jin sighed as he shifted his bag of things on his shoulder a bit to relieve the stress on his muscles. "Alright, I'm going to head off to get washed up. I'll meet you in the common room when you're ready to talk Ky." Jin kissed Kyla and smiled as he turned and walked towards the common room to wait for her. Since he had been intending on leaving earlier that day, Jin had already washed up and been ready to leave and so there was not much left for him to do than to just sit at the bar and pour himself a drink.
