Alice had gone out with the rest of the crew that morning, but she had a different task in mind. Nick and Jax had some sort of business to take care of and Alice really did not want to be bothered with that. So she went to the market place by herself. This was something Alice rarely got to do.
The market place seemed really busy this morning and Alice got caught up in the excitement. The dresses in the window made her wish she wore more dresses. Alice did not like wearing dresses, but Jax liked it when she did. There were a lot more street venders out that day, more then she could remember there being before.
Alice typically did not like shopping, but when she was shopping for Jax it was a little easier. It had been a while since she had gotten him an I love you gift. It was something they did a lot when they first got together, and Alice was so excited to have her Jackson back she wanted to do something special for him. She had been thinking about getting him something for his computer, but quickly dismissed the idea. Alice knew nothing about computers and did not want to get the wrong thing or the wrong brand. Sometimes Alice wish he liked the same things she did, it would make things easier. She figured she would know the perfect gift when she saw it.
Alice had been through a few shops already and nothing had caught her eye. She was starting to get a little discouraged, but she told herself before she left that no matter what what she was not going to give up! Alice scanned the shops again. She noticed a small shoppe that did not seem that busy and did not have all the glitz and glam in the window. Alice made her way to the shoppe trough the thick crowd.
When she entered the door made a buzzing noise. Alice quickly scanned the small store for any thing to cause an alarm. "Be with you in one minute" came a voice behind a curtain. Alice knew this voice... But who was it. Before she could figure it out, a tall women walked through the piece of cloth.
"I'll be. If it is not Jade herself," Alice smiled moving toward her. The two embraced and kissed the others cheeks. " How have you been my dear Alice? I see you still like to play with greasy things." Jade said as she look Alice up and down. Alice blushed a little and smiled. " Well I got married," Alice said showing off her wedding ring. " That is actually what brings me into your shoppe today. I am looking for a gift for my husband. Do you have anything along the lines of nice cigars, knives, or some sort of cooking utensil?" Alice said while Jade was holding her hand looking at the ring.
"GAISI DE who'd did you marry? He must be rich! Look how big that ring is... Oh I have the perfect gift," Jade said as she walked to the the side of the store. "Well he is perfect. He may not be rich, but I don't care. I found true love," Alice said as she watched Jade walk away. She returned holding a box. " These are the best cigars on the market. They had soaked in brandy for a year and they are smooth. An' cause you are an old friend consider them a wedding present, Jade said handing Alice the box. This took Alice by surprise. " I can't Jade... Let me give you something for them please..." Jade smiled and said " All you have to do is when you two love birds have a child ya'll will bring it to see me." Alice nodded and hugged Jade again.
The two said their good bye and Alice rushed back to the ship. She could not wait to see Jackson face when she gave him the cigars. She walked in just n time to hear Onas say " Is Alice here?" Holding her bag behind her back, Alice said "Right here, Boss. What do you need?"

Clair was glad Onas came back and checked on her though she didn't have much to say at this point. She just sat there looking at her sandwich for a while, every so often looking up to Onas and smiling as best she could. She had really screwed up today and more then that she had added more to Onas' plate then he needed right now. After he left and went back to talk to Jax and Nick she waited there for him to return.
It wasn't long and she heard another enter the ship and head toward the cockpit. Finally Clair decided to follow behind and got up to the front just in time to hear them finish out their talking about the job and Alice being there. Clair followed in behind Aliace letting her presence be know as well. "So Onas you guys got room for me on this job of yours?"
He had told her that he was going to say it was his job and she was going to play along with that. He was doing her one hell of a favor by taking this on for her. "Just let me know what I can do to help." Clair wanted to make sure she did her part and more in this sense this was her fault.

"Alice, good," Onas said in his all buisness tone, walking into the galley, then he adressed Claira, "Yeah Bella, I'm gonna bring you in on this one. You do right, maybe we'll get you a second. You do good on a second, then maybe we'll start turning the wheel. Untill then though, watch and learn. These four are the best in the buisness, you can learn a lot from each of them." Onas finished.
Taking a toke of his cigarette, Onas spoke to the group, making eye contact with each in turn. "Here's where we stand. Trigger has some jobs for us, but those are already in the books, no real profit left. I know we all have a blanket for the cold, but it doesn't hurt to add another. That said, I picked up a job for us. It's a little different from what we're all used to, but given our current interests, thats not necessarily a bad thing. We're gonna do a pickup run. One box, four hundred pounds, and not very large. Det's on Santo, we go, meet the contact, get the goods, bring 'em home. Easy peasy."
"Nick, I want you in the pit, keep us low on the radar, no Alliance. Alice, make sure we're ready for dustup. Buckle straps, and get our bay dress right dress. Once were on Santo, I'll make the contact, gonna take Claira along for the ride, let 'er see how it's done up close. Jax, your on navigation, permits and passports. Get Claira here somethin she can use, and make sure you and Alice ain't married this time. When it's time for the pickup, your takin Claira. Alice, Nick and me stay with the ship. Follow usual plans if your caught, less than four, come on home, more, we come to you."
"Alice, I want pads up in ninety minutes. Nick, Jax, you two head on up to the bridge, get it started. Claira, get your gear, and be back in sixty minutes. When you get back, your gonna learn what you can from Jax. If you get a hankerin, Nick can show you some tricks in the pit. But mostly, I want you to listen to what Jax tells you, learn how to play the game. Codes, sweet talk, signals, tails, the works. Jax, you got two days to fill her head. Bella, you want in, then means it's time to go to school. Tests in two days, study hard." Onas ended his speech with several snaps of his fingers, and a crushing of his cigarette.

After receiving Onas's orders Jax made his way to the bridge. Taking the stairs two at a time Jackson sprung onto the bridge and took his place at his work station.
His first order of business was to make new id's for the crew. That was easy enough. Scanning there faces off the on board security cams Jax picked the most straight on shots to crop. With that done he loaded the needed program and set to work filing in the rest. For this trip they would be the standard run of the mill freight company, witch they were a freight company just an illegal one.
Onas would now be Captain Christopher Lexington fifteen year company man and employee of the month the past six months running
Nickolas is now First-mate Chuck Sherman
Alice became Mechanic Alicia Bateman
Jackson would just be a regular worker by the name Conrad Williams
Bella got promoted to Workers Foreman Bethany Strago
Jackson had the new idents work up in no time with full backgrounds, company name, home addresses, heck even schooling just in case anyone wanted to do some light digging.
Nick stepped back on to the bridge presumable to run through the pre flight checks but Jackson really had no clue what pilots did right before take off.
"So, Nick when did we start working for Bella" Jax said with a little laugh
Nick laughed out loud in a short burst " Pfft you to huh, does Onakey think were blind, deaf, and stupid"
"I mean can you say Sid and Alice, I know he's just trying to protect her cause she took some bad job, but he could at least lay it out straight for us, I mean we would still back him on the opp." Jax commented over his shoulder.
"Yeah, he's just doing what Sid taught him, it didn't work for Sid and Onas ant no better at hiding it. But your right we did it for Sid and I like Onas a hella lot better than Sid". Nick replied
"Well, either way whatever this jobs doesn't sound like its going to be that difficult. If he wants to play like its his idea, then I am game. And hey money is money right" Jackson said off handily
"Right, right your are my large friend it all spends no matter who is comes from". Nick said in a gentleman's voice
The conversation trailed off after that and both men went back to work.

Cliarabell felt a bit better when Onas gave orders o everyone and got the show started. At least they were now moving forward with everything and would soon be on their way to getting this job done and over with. "Thank you Onas." She said after everyone was gone.
After that she set out on her way to get her things. It wasn't a long walk from the ship to her hotel room. While there she told the person at the desk she wouldn't be in the room for several days and had some work to do, though she had it rented through the end of the month. SHe went of to her toom and grabbed her two bags. She put the back pack on with her cloths and slung the duffle bag of equipment over her shoulder and headed back for the ship. She had three weapons in all on her now. A pisol at her hip, and a shotgun and long rifle in her duffle bag.
When she got back to the ship she went straight for the cockpit where she was to learn what she could from Nick about the ship. In the room were Jax and Nick. "How's it going guys?" She stated as she entered. She didn't want to intrude on any private conversation and she believed it proper to let them know she was there. SHe had no idea they had found out that she was the one who got the job and if they asked it would be impossible for her to lie to them and tell them otherwise.

Just as the moment of silence was about to hit the uncomfortable stage, Bella walked on to the bridge making her perence know " How it going guys".
Jackson was glad that they had stopped talking. He didn't want to make Bella feel bad. In fact he wanted to do what ever he could to make this easy for her like Sid had done for him, well like he had done for all of them. Sid some times got a bad rap for being a hard cuss, but all in all he was a great guy. I mean he had one way or another built a loyal team by saving the naive skins before they had gotten it removed from there bones. Jax figured it was only fair that he do what he could to save her skin, you know to pay back his debt to Sid. Plus he had to admit he like the kid she had moxy.
"Hey kiddo" Jax called over his shoulder "pop a squat" he added patting the chair close to him " time for school to start.''
"OK, let start with some basic lingo" Jackson had decide that that was a good subject to open up with "Nick I am going to need you help with this one brother"
" I'll chime in when needed bru" Nick answered
"Right, I don't know how much you know so we will start simple. When we steal something it's call lifting it, when we sell something that was lifted we call it fencing, if someone is following you then you got a tale, if someone has planted a bug on you or your ship it's a trace" Jax ran down the list
Nick piped in " Don't forget a gift you know the money you get from fencing something
"Good one Nick" Jax smiled and pointed at him
This went on for a short while as Jackson, Nick, and Bella waited for Onas to give them the signal to lift off...
((OOC, k bella if want to keep going with the lingo thats cool, Onas if you want to post next go for it, Alice if wanna go thats also cool))

Jax and nick were quick to begin their process of training her. She listened to everything they had to teach her, she hadn't much knowledge in the subject and wasn't going to pass up a chance to learn something new. It was always her way to soak in every bit of knowledge she could.
"Alright it all seems to make sence. what else you got." The young girl had a mind like a steel trap, everything they said soaked in. They would teach on for quite some time with her sitting there taking it all in. Jax and Nick seemed like really good guyd for thieves, a crowd she had found herself mixed with a few times before but these guys were different they were the real deal and some how she had ended up teaming up with them.

Alice listen intently to what O.J. said and made a mental note of all the things she had to do. 'first things first hide these cigars... but how... never mind that right now what's next... Oh right tighten down all straps... then check all fluid levels...did I ever fix that coil sending unit..' Alice eyes looked up as if she was reaching the bulkheads for the answers. 'double check that!.. and you know what maybe I should double check the salt plasma and the magnetic levels. They are probably perfectly fine, but it is always better to double check. Last of all make Jackson move the gang boxes...'That last thought made a small smile come across her face.
Onas finished talking and the group dispersed. Alice waited for Jackson to leave before calling for Nick to follow her toward the engine room. After leaving the room she toward to Nick.
" Can you hide these in your room," Alice said in hushed voice and through gritted teeth. she handed him the bag.
" Gorgeous, no one can hear us. You can talk like a normal person. What is this?" Nick smile as he said that. At the end of the statement he held up the bag Alice has handed him.
" They are cigars for Jax. There are an 'I love you gift.' Please just hide them in your room and don't tell Jackson. It will only be for a little while till I come up with a good way to give them to him." Alice said in secretive voice, well it was more like a secretive/ chipper voice. Nick could tell that she was excited about the gift.
" I will do and I'll keep a lid on it." Nick said then put his right index finger over his lips.
" Thanks! We better get to work before O.J. blows a gasket." She said walking toward the engine room. Nick smiled as he walked to his quarters.
An hour later, after Alice had finish all the items on her check list, but one, moving the gang boxes. She called over the intercom, " Jax-e-poo I am in need of your wonderful muscles in the bay. Alice knew that would make Jax blush, and he might get a little upset with her, but it was totally worth it.

Onas walked onto the bridge to find everyone deep in conversation. He nodded to Bella, but only slightly. He picked up the new Ident packets Jax had knocked up and sifted through them, some drawing slight snickers. Jax had embedded quite a few personal jokes in the names. "Conrad," he commented, holding up Jackson's temporary ident tags.
Having Jackson back was a boon to the entire operation. Nick and Onas were good, but Jax was the kind of glasser that gave CSET aneurysms. If you took it back a few years, you wouldn't find a good id for any of Sid's crew, even Onas', because Sid employed people like Jax with regularity. So each assignment produced a new name and background. There were day's, long painful days, where Onas had been five different men before the sun went down. You probably don't need to be told how that can play with your mind. There were times when it could be downright confusing to the crew, who was who, on which job.
However, if it was confusing to those directly involved with the crime, you can only imagine how frustrating it was for the CSET observer trying to track down the lead. Even worse for the Tin-man who got assigned the case. Since Sid's crews never used the same ident twice, it was fairly hard to trace. Almost infallible. This would be far to expensive an addition if they'd utilized a third party to manifest the identities, but since men like Jax were on Sid's payroll, it was readily available.
Sidney was nothing if not industrious. Onas had to give him credit, the man knew the definition of "Taking Advantage."
Onas listened on as the lesson worked it's way through terms that should be known to anybody who'd ever read a good heist novel. Better safe than sorry though. He chipped in a few terms here and there, but mostly, he just checked on progress. Nick had them yellow-lighted across the board as Alice sent her status updates. Once he was ready, Nick just sat back and lit a scented cigar.
Onas reflexively lit up with him.
Alice called up to the bridge and hassled Jackson in pure Alice fashion. She always managed to hit the radio with something that didn't really belong on the radio. Once she'd put out on the intercoms that Jax should meet her... You know, that stories not really PC...
Nick barely missed a beat, "Jaxipoo! Ha! When yur done wit dat, Use yur sexy arms ta take out da trash..."
Onas was right behind it with, "Put yur shirt on sexy, yur scarin the children!" Nick and Onas bumped the jest out.

Jackson truly enjoyed the crew he found himself on. It was like a tight knit family, and it seemed like the family just adopted a new little red head step child.
Everyone was getting a real good laugh from Alice's pet name for him witch he didn't mind but he did have to get a jab back in before for he walked off. Turning and looking at Bella Jax said with a smile splitting his face, "laugh it up chuckles, you ant nottin but a red headed step child round here till you prove yourself different." He could hear Onas howl with laughter as he rounded the corner headed for the bay.
Entering the cargo bay he spied Alice sitting on her gang box dangling her feet with a sweet and inocent look on her face.
"Thank you for that my darling wife, you got the whole crew in stitches now" he said with a mockingly sweet voice as he walked over to the box she was sitting on. Grabbing the handle with both hands and setting his feet Jackson yanked back and after a few second the eight hundred pound box, nine hundred and ten if you count Alice, budged and then starting rolling. After getting Alice's box locked in place Jackson went over to retrieve O.J's box and noticed that one of the wheels had some locked barring making it really hard to push. "Hey...babe...you should really look at this wheel when were back planet side" Jax puffed as he finally got it locked in place and both boxes strapped down.
With that done he turned his on his wife figuring to get a little revenge for her earlier jest. Walking over to Alice he scooped her up like a child and threw her over his shoulder and started for there room, When the Comm came to life with sound of Onas Voice asking what there status was.
Stifling laughter Jackson responded " Were all good on my end boss I am ready when you are."....

Alice snickered after she finished with the intercom. She could almost hear the banter in her head, she wasn't sure who would get the first joke out between Nick and Onas. She hopped up on her gangbox crossing her legs, and leaning agianst them on her elbows. She waited for Jax to come out of the Dutchess. A smile creasted her lips, 'I'd almost bet that Nick's smoking one of Jackson's cigars right now...' If he was, Alice just might get Onas to let her merge some exuast vents with his atmo feed...
Jackson came to move the gangboxes as ordered. When he straddled her with his arms to move her box, she rubbed his chest with her steel toe boots, while he pushed the box. Alice gave him a slight wink when he looked at her.
She didn't say it out loud, because her wonderfully protective man would have fought her on this, but Alice had every intention of fixing the right wheel on Onas' box while they were in the black. Her brilliant man never understood artificial gravity to it's full extent. Any ship, most expecially the Athena, would have to be physically prodded while in motion to distort the miniture gravity well on the vessel. This means that while he would argue, as he has before, that the box might roll over her, thus crushing her to death, Alice knew the chances of that were slim to none. So she just smiled at him, and said nothing.
Untill he picked her up, and tossed her over his broad shoulder like she was a kid. Or knowing his mind, more like his...
Onas interupted her thoughts as usual, pressing for the yellow light for launch. She looked at Jaxipoo, and scrunched her face with a 'not now' look in her exprestion. Alice tapped his shoulder, and he reluctanly set her down. She patted his eye-level chest and commented "Sorry babe," then walked to the comms. Jax gave his all clear, and Alice clicked the button after he released it adding, "Oj, we're ready for pads up, closing her up now."
Alice popped the bay doors, and then sealed the cargo bay. Then went to the engine room to moniter the Sterling.

Onas waited for a few minutes without an update from Jax or Alice. It had honestly been enough time, so he picked up the corded mic, and got over the loudspeaker.
"What's the story you two? We leavin this month or not? Daylights-a-wastin," Onas said, a grin on his face as he got their responces. The board was yellow, and they had confirmation. He looked to Nick, "Take us up."
"On it," Nick answered, and took hold of the seperated flight sticks. The new flight controls were more like a combat seat than a standard flight control panel. There was a stick for your left hand, and a stick for your right. And two foot petals. Onas hadn't flown with this caliber of flight control before, but aparently, it added the most function. The co-pilots station was far more hospitiable, as it offered a more traditional casual pilot station.
However, the weapons systems, and anti-weapon systems couldn't be controled from there. The amount of switches in front of Nick were beyond confusing, and most comercial pilots would likely have a hard time figuring that panel out. Onas installed and wired it, and he wasn't sure what some of them did. Unlike the co-pilots setup, which was the original commercial style. Onas, Justin and Nick had sat on the bridge tweaking this system for weeks to get it working right, and in the end, it had two VI's handling all the mess of cross system functions. However, it worked fantasticly.
Nick boasted about this whole portion of the job, as it was his idea. He would tell you that with the plans he'd laid out, this was a fully customizable station, with quicksave biometric startups, and quick configure HUDs. Onas would give you far more confusing terminoligy, as he knew more about it. But Justin, the user friendly engineer that he is, would explain that it requires a pilot who is in the computer's system to scan their eye's iris to start the ship up from this station. The heads up display (HUD) before you, is projected only into your field of vision, meaning that someone would have to have their face next to yours to see it.
The HUD is a holographic crosshair, and heading projection primarily. It also gives updates of the reactor heat, coolant tempature, and electricity producing. Each of the nine photonic turbines generated power levels, and the overall efficiency of that transfer. It shows any messages from the many VIs controlling subsystems, and any from the crew. Though, usually the crew just calls it in through the speaker. The HUD also, when activated, can show amunition reserves, and weapon heat levels. The targeting VI can adjust the spaceware torpedos for wire-guided, or heat seeking, course plot, or even a simple from the hip shot fire solutions directly from the pilots station.
The gunpods can be fired from three sub-terminals. The actual gunpod station on the starboard side of the bridge, from the navigation console, or from the pilots console. Nick from this position, could engadge a target directly ahead with three pods. But all angles of attack could be covered by the guns, from navigation or the munitions station by using all five pods for field of fire.
But the pilot's seat, not the co-pilot's, but the pilot's seat could technically operate the entire ship from the hands of one single human pilot. The VI's on the ship could assist him/her in this endeavor, and so long as nothing goes wrong, it is possible to enter even into combat and come out the victor, being crewed by only one sole. This isn't advisible, even under the best of circumstances, but theoretically, it is feasible because of this single station. Which is why there are so many switches, toggles, and levers. You have complete control of the ship from here. Even the reactor.
This was no simple thing to create. It took twelve teamates a month to get it wired and they still had glitches only two weeks ago. Indeed, there could still be problems that were unknown even now. But Onas didn't know of anything.
"Engines answering hot. We have liftoff." Nick commented, and Onas set his right hand on the left shoulder of the pilot's chair. He had a mug of coffee in his hand, and for now, despite the job's personification, things were going well. His eh... crew, was doin a fine job of there individual craft, and the Athena was a star of production. The craft effortlessly lifted off the ground, hovered out of the bay doors, and into the afternoon skyline. The takeoff was so smooth that the gravity generator never fought with the planet's gravity, meaning that Onas' coffee stayed still in his cup, and didn't well back as Nick slowly eased on the 'gas'.
"Ok," Nick said, typing on a keyboard that no one but he could see, "...autopilot engadged. We should be there in thrity two hours. Now. Onkey. Let's talk about this Nick becoming a lousy pilot situation."
"I wasn't aware of this," Onas answered, "I can present it before the council, see what they say."
"Seriously. I am not a 'sit-here-all-day' guy. And your a crap pilot. Can we at least look in to getting someone in here?" Nick asked, chewing the wooden tip of his cigar.
"Who do we even know? The last pilot I hired died almost three years ago. I can ask Jax, but now that the Athena's up, maybe we should just look for Priya and see what she plans to do with the ship. I know we all kind of think of her as ours, but, she ain't ya know?" Onas answered.
"Yeah, I thought about that. Still, I hate bein stuck up here. Some people love it, but I..." He stopper and sighed through his nose, "I dunno. I just don' want you to forget that i'm stuck up here for hours on end."
"I got ya back bud," Onas said squeezing Nicks shoulder, "I'll figure something out."
Nick looked up to him for a minute, then looked back to his screens, "Well you got a whole day and a half to figure it out, then we hit Santo, and get to this job of yours..."
