Miria was born to a doxy on the back-allys of Paquin, her father unknown. Growing up was rough, but she quickly became a survivor. Miria stole, lied and cheated to get what she needed. Needless to say the girl wasn't too good at those skills, she got caught many times. Though there wasn't much in the way of law enforcement around the town.Personality Traits/Flaws:
When Miria neared her 18th birthday she made a rash decision and stowed away on a ship, destination unknown. She was found out of course, the captain wasn't all too happy with her. Luckily she wasn't shot for her troubles, but put to work cleaning to earn her ride. Once they landed on Londinium however, things changed. The captain reported her actions to the Alliance officers, Miria quickly ran from them. She was a poor girl in a rich town though, she stuck out like a sore thumb - wasn't long before she got caught.
Despite the lack of law enforcement on Paquin, much of her mis-deeds were documented in her permanent file. Since Miria was still technically a minor they counted against her. She was given an ultimatum of sorts by the judge presiding over her case. Join the military or be sent off to jail for ten years.
The military was the obvious choice, so once she turned eight-teen it was off to basic training for the girl. Miria's time in basic was shorter than normal, because of the war, the Alliance wanted to rush and get more personnel out to fight. She learned more on the battlefield than she did in her training. While her accomplishments in the war itself were minor she became a good soldier, one of the best shooters in her squad.
After the war ended in 2511 Miria was able to actually decide what she was interested in; the ships of the Alliance. So she started out at the bottom and worked her way up the ranks being a good little soldier. At the age of 24, year 2515 she was assigned to the Opal, under the command of Lieutenant Ethan Pike. He was different from all the other commanding officers she had served under, a man who did things his way instead of the Alliance's way. Miria began to look at the world she was in differently, even more-so after his decision to pull the ship from the fleet maneuvers saved them. This was despite the fact that Pike was ordered not to. She found out that the Lieutenant was court-marshaled for the offense.
Miria became a different person over time, a free-thinker. She was no longer a mindless drone for the Alliance. Ethan Pike had saved her from that, even if he wasn't aware that his actions had such a great impact on this girl's future. Miria was a Lieutenant herself now, with her record that was all she would probably achieve, but she remained with the Alliance despite her unsure feelings about the government itself. The military didn't want to get rid of her either because of her skills with firearms, they just weren't sure what to do with her at the moment. Perhaps a re-assignment was in order.
Miria is a flirtatious woman with a like for drinking. She has been known to start a few fights while under the influence.Physical description:
She's quite opinionated and not afraid to express said opinions, a touch hot-headed.
Miria admire's Ethan Pike very much, she would give her own life to save his without hesitation.
She is more than willing to solve nearly any situation with her gun, but doesn't do so without orders - unless there's no other choice - good thing she remembers to leave her gun behind when she goes drinking.
She has a rebelious soul, she'll talk back, argue and fight when she disagrees about something; even if it's what restaurant to go to for dinner - she enjoys getting things her way.
The woman likes tattoos and piercings - it's a good thing she's got a fairly good tolerance for pain.
