CHARACTER ADOPTiON CENTER:

Sometimes it's hard to think of just the right thing you're looking for in a character, and sometimes you've got too many to possibly be able to play them all at once. You're either stuck staring at an empty wordpad, or staring at your four filled character slots and bursting to share more of those wonderful characters in your head. Well, here is the place for that kinda thing, boys and girls!

TO CREATE AN ADOPTABLE CHARACTER:

Simply copy the code below, fill it in and post it. Don't be too specific, the one adopting your character has the right to shape him or her any way he or she wants. Of course, this is where you're offering up an idea for someone to take care of for you. They can develop and grow how the player see's fit, but essentially the idea of the character doesn't change too much.

When you're browsing the characters up for adoption and find one you need to tell us that you're reserving this specific character. You do this by copying the code and posting it below:

Your character will be reserved for you for roughly two-three weeks. If by then you haven't filled out a character application form or at least begun on one, the character will be up for adoption again. Please let us know if you still want to keep the character, or are unable to play them before we put them back up for adoption.

A former comrade of Martine Ekkehard's in the 'Umbra' shadow operations squad. Cold, calculated and methodical. He taught her a lot about controlling emotions and not dwelling on a necessary kill.

Character-Specific Affiliations: Martine Ekkehard
Character Specifics: Possibility to become crew aboard the Nicodemus. Despite his shady history, Martine would trust him enough to work under her.

Lionel Isenburg

Character Name: Lionel Isenburg

Character Backstory
A rather rebellious child growing up, Lionel was forced into the Alliance military at the age of eighteen by his father. By then, the war sparking into action, all the mention of forced 'unity' of the Independents growing. Once it was finished, Lionel was trained and promoted to Federal Marshal, quickly growing to despise any criminal activity. He wanted to seek it out and thwart it at every turn. Everything always done by the book. When he discovered his own father's fraudulant activities back home, Lionel was quick to have him arrested and tried in court. Since then, he's travelled the galaxy, attempting to uproot criminal activities and organisations. Despite the blow the Alliance took, Lionel still affiliates himself with them-- yet viciously denies the fact those involved in the Miranda incident were linked to the Alliance as a whole.

Character-Specific Affiliations: Ruth Isenburg (Sister)
Character Specifics: Surprisingly, the man has a good sense of justice about him, and disproves the assumption all Alliance Feds are dislikeable hun dan. While he is essentially a good man, he refuses to let anything slide. Never compromises.

Character Backstory
There was a different story to tell in Ruth's case. While having the same stubborn and rebellious nature as her brother, her ideals were shifted and changed early on in her life. As soon as she was old enough, Ruth escaped the family estate and made a break for the Border worlds. She'd heard all about the Independents, and had stumbled into 'Black Out Zones' during her time amongst the Allied Planets. Independent spies and sympathisers convinced the young teen of their cause, and it was why she left. She has a strong belief in freedom of choice, and so chose to fight for Independence. Nobody ever questioned that she'd come from the Alliance, and they never found out, either. Ruth turned into as much of a Browncoat as anyone else. She was even a 'Dust Devil' for a short time, though part of it haunts her. Now, she's the Captain of a smuggling vessel, forever having to work under the Alliance's nose. She doubts that, even if he manages to catch her, that her brother Lionel will show any mercy.

Character Specifics: Stubborn Browncoat to the end with a devious mind. Always just out of reach of the law and still firmly believes in her freedom. Will fight to the death to protect her way of life and her crew.
