The following is how your characters are to be paid. simply find your career in the list for more information:
Starting Out:
After you have submitted your character application and it is registered by an admin, your account will be given p3000. this is just to give your character a little something to start off with, so if you go broke (which should really never happen), don't ask an admin to give you more. (see the "Running Low On Platinum?" section of this thread)
Shipmates
Members of a ship will be paid according to their captain's wishes**. Money distribution can be discussed OOC or be determined in roleplay by the respective captain. Members of a ship generally make a decent amount of money. However, your monthly payment is not fixed; you must do jobs or contests (at the bottom of the forum) to keep your bank filled!
Ship Captains
Captains gain their money in the same way as their crew (see above), except they hold more expenses. Instead of paying p200 every month (see "The Montly Fee" below), captains pay p300. It is the cost of owning a ship; you must keep it maintained and fueled up!
Also, as captains, it is your choice on how you split loot. You may not take over half, though (as re-stated at the bottom of these guidelines). It is not fair!
Crime Bosses
Crime bosses are able to hire Drifters, members of a ship, or anyone willing to work to do a job for them. This could be anything from robbing a bank to delivering a shipment or package. Crime bosses will receive 1/2 of any loot a job yields, with the other 1/2 being split up amongst the people hired.
Crime Bosses will make p500 each month, as well as pay their p200 (see "The Monthly Fee" below).
Companions
Companions are paid a flat rate of p1500 for each client they accept. Any Companion that choose to work out of a ship must pay a p500 rental fee each Month for the use of one of that ships shuttles.
Since you won't always roleplay out your clients, Companions will pull in p1500 each Month. Aka, one client a Month if they do not get one in RP.
Alliance Officers
Alliance Officers will earn p1000 each Month, as well as pay their p200 (See "The Monthly Fee" below). Since Alliance Officers can crew a ship but do not do 'jobs' per se, they will earn p500 for each ship they pull over or any crimes they intervene.
Drifters
Drifters will make 1 share of any job they are a part of if hired by a crime boss or ship captain. Drifters that are not a part of a crew will only be able to earn platinum through the OOC contests located at the bottom of the forum.
The Monthly Fee
Each month, all characters will be docked p200 for food and other necessities.
Running Low on Platinum?[/u]
Jobs won't always be plentiful, and sometimes it'll be a struggle. Contests will be available in the OOC area for some extra cash. The best part? You don't have to split it up with your crew! You will receive the full payment of any contest you complete. Take advantage of this! Also, each time you post you will gain p5, that includes the OOC boards, so if you're running low, strike up a thread about how awesome Wash is to earn a little Platinum

** = Roleplay Bends Any Rule. If a captain is more generous than others, he may choose to split loot evenly. On the reverse, he may choose to give himself more money. It all depends on your captain. However, no captain may take more than 1/2 of loot. It is unfair.
Same goes for Crime Bosses.
We will allow some of these guidelines to be bent by roleplay. Simply let us know.
