Alastair and the rest of the crew had gotten a chance to know each other at least on the most basic level. They had had a chance to check the ship over and get to know it on a basic level as well. Alastair and Cooper had spent a portion of the day looking the ship over and making sure it was ready for flight. Everything was new and in tip-top shape.
"Alright Coop it seems everything is ready to go." Alastair said as he looked over his checklist like he had done before on ship prior. The engine was in working order, the flight systems checked out, the crew and everything was load and ready to go. "We're ready to get this show on the road when ever you are."
Alastair was ready to get this ship in the skies and make some profit. Now all they needed was the Captain to figure out what they were going to do to make that profit. They were still a little shy of a full crew but it seemed that with everyone they had there they would be able to manage untill they got those needed members.

Cooper was feeling on top of the world.
He had not only his own, brand-new beautiful ship...but a crew to man it. How well that crew did their jobs was something that would pan out over time. The black would weed out the ones that couldn't take the pressure very quickly. Coop hoped he wasn't one of them.
He'd taken a liking to Alastair so far. The man seemed level-headed and sure, and it was good to know he could probably be someone that could be depended on. As he was told that things looked ready to go, Coop crossed over to the other man and grinned in a restrained way, unable to contain his excitement completely. "Thank you, Mr. Quinn. I suppose we'd better page Mr. Saoren so we can take off." He toggled a switch next to the speaker and his voice echoed throughout the ship. "Mr. Saoren to the bridge, please. The rest of you can get ready for takeoff."
Coop moved back over to where Quinn was and slid his hands into his pockets. The captain was dressed immaculately, as usual, though his trademark hat was absent. "I've made a contact here in Persephone. He's given me a job. We're to pick up some crates for him, bring them back as soon as possible." Patting his breast pocket, he continued. "I have the exact coordinates here. We're going to Bernadette." The prospect delighted him. Another new planet to visit.

Amaya had been in starboard side stateroom she had rented from the captain getting her affairs in order. Her room was straight across from the captains with what she believed was Alastair's being the next down on the starboard side. It was a nice clean room in a nice new ship. She had gotten her personal effects sorted and put away. "now to get this job done." She told herself as she sifted through a pile of paper work. She put the papers back in her briefcase and picked it back up then made her way out of the room. Just as the she closed the door behind her the captains voice came across the intercom announcing there coming departure. Though he had only requested that Mr. Saoren come to the bridge she made the ever so short walk from her room to the bridge to meet the captain. As she entered she heard the mention of Bernadette and smile. "If I heard right we are bound for Bernadette captain?" She inquired. The news of this trip encouraged her she had made some contacts there even some she would consider friends. She had some information she would be able to sell there and made a fair profit it might even prove advantages to talk to them and see if she could gain the ship a job there. This would help build that much needed trust with Alastair. "If there is anything I can be of help with let me know. I'll gladly do what I can." She informed the captain with a grand smile. She could tell the captain was quite excited about the job and getting the Nautilus in to the black. Alastair was a little harder to read though she wasn't sure what he was thinking yet. _________________________________________________________ Number 5 room on the chart is Amaya's stateroom

Coop turned at Amaya's entrance, an easy smile curving his lips. "Indeed. Bernadette. Have you ever been there?" He tried to hide his excitement, at least attempting to maintain some modicum of professionalism in front of his new crew. It was hard, though, when they were finally taking off on their first job. Freedom. This is what he had wanted; to travel wherever the crew fancied and to take jobs that would fund that travel.
He leaned gently against the empty pilot's chair. Hopefully Lee would arrive soon. Coop could handle piloting the vessel well enough, but that was what he had hired the man for.
At Amaya's other question, Coop just shrugged. Alastair and Lee would have the ship off soon enough, and once they were in the black there was not much to do but wait. Truth was, he didn't really know how to best use her skills on this ship. He just didn't know enough about what she did.
Turning to her, he cocked his head and folded his arms behind his back. "You ever heard of a man named Jack Briggs?" His contact and their current employer. He probably should have talked to Amaya before just taking the job, but Jack had seemed friendly and open enough and Coop was maybe a little more green than he would like to admit.

Amaya gave Cooper a big friendly smile as he turned to face her. She could sense his heightened level of excitement. It was easy to spot on his face even though he tried to hide it. She found it refreshing to see in someone her age. She had become untrusting and lost most of her excitement about things with the way he life had changed after the uprising. She found herself constantly trying to keep herself out the wrong hands so to speak. ”I have been there in fact. I have done a decent amount of business there before and it should prove to be a great location for me when we get there.”
As he inquired about if she knew Mr. Briggs the thought for a minute she knew the name and what he did all right as a matter of fact she had gotten information that had passed through his hands before. As for meeting him in person she had never had the chance to do so before and if he would know who she was, was pretty unlikely. That was probably for the best anyway. ”I have heard the name and a bit about him. I hear he is a businessman on Persephone. Fairly successful from what I have heard. He could be work know though I think it best to make sure you have a very clear idea of what you are doing for him or want him to do for you.” She explained carefully. She didn’t want to step on any toe. If Mr. Briggs had found someone who didn’t know about his shady business she didn’t want to damage any future deals she may have with him and she didn’t want to have Cooper to feel like he couldn’t work with him either so she didn’t want to give away all the details just yet.
Amaya figured this was a good opportunity to work with the crew and build trust and as always a good chance to gain some new information that could be of value. It was just a meeter of making sure things went smooth.

Alastair had his wonders about Amya's business as well. She had mentioned she was the business sort dealing in commodities but little else was mentioned. Nothing stood out to much to Alistair but he like to know the crew he was working with and she had yet to make any major mention of he business to any of the crew.
When she mentioned that she new Jack Briggs as well he though there might be a business connection there that could be of use to them as well and that maybe Amaya would be good to get to know for the business connections she could bring to the crew. So Amya you haven't mentioned to much of what you do in your business. You said you know Jack to some extent, is there anyone else you might know of use to the crew. We can always use job potentials when you see the chance for them." He said inquisitively.
He figured it would be good to get to know Amaya and pick her brain for any business contacts that would pan out for the crew. "At some point after we get the Nautilus in the skys we should talk and see what we can do to keep this ship going in places that will profit all of us." He told her. Then he walked over to the front window of the cockpit and looked out at the people below. He'd better enjoy it since it semed he was gonig to be out in the black a lot more again. 'Coop is there anything else you need me to do before we get this show on the road?" He was pretty sure he had covered everything needed for the flight but it was alway good to double check things to make sure.

[alright, gonna just get this show on the road without Lee.]
Coop seemed reassured by her words about Bernadette. He nodded and sat down in the pilot's seat. "Good. Should be a smooth job, then," he said confidently. Toggling a couple of switches, he continued, "Seems pretty straightforward; we're just delivery this time around. Picking things up and bringing them back here."
Her hesitation to tell her more about Briggs was not even noticed. Coop had an endearingly naive way of believing people when they were honestly trying to be kind to him. Perhaps one reason Jack Briggs had so easily weaseled past his radar and not even shown one criminal blip. "He simply wanted us to pick up some boxes and supplies that are being held for him. We're to get paid upon our return here to Persephone." It seemed simple enough, and Cooper could not see any way it could go wrong. He did not know what the supplies were or what was in the boxes, but he didn't see that as any of his business, really. What mattered was getting the job done, and getting in done well. As well as in a timely fashion, though that wasn't as important to Jack. "In any case, I want you to come with me to meet him when we get back. You as well, Alastair. I think the two of you will be most integral in helping me get jobs for this ship from now on."
His point seemed to be proven when Alastair began questioning Amaya. He smiled at the man's thought process. At the question posed to himself, Coop shook his head. "We're all set." His hands went to the controls and he pulled back, lifting them off the ground with an overly loud roar from their engines. Within minutes they were entering the black.

Amaya was a little overwhelmed by all the questions and at the request to meet with Jack. Luckily they didn’t hadn’t met face to face but she hoped he hadn’t really hear her name through all the hands the information had passed. She didn’t really relish the thought of what she really did getting out to the crew. It wasn’t the kind of thing that instilled confidence with people but that was an issue for a later date.
”I would be quite happy to assist in talking to Mr. Briggs with you both. I believe your right Captain, it myself and Alastair could prove to be great assets in finding work for the ship.” She replied to him as she maintained her composure. Internally though she couldn’t help but think that this could prove to be a poor situation for her future. Part of her wanted to come out and explain her situation to them right here and now but that in the end wouldn’t help her. She was on a man hunt for Alastair and what he had done with some stolen cargo many years back and the captain wasn’t going to let her lead his first mate in to a dangerous situation. She had to keep silent for her own safety, she had been through had situations before and this was no different.
”might I suggest one thing though Captain. I find it best when dealing with a strong willed businessman like Mr. Briggs you always met up for the exchange in an open public place. I have noticed when dealing with business men in their offices they are much more willing to haggle over pay.” Jack wasn’t known for being a violent man from what she had heard of him but one can never trust the underworld completely. Take herself for example it is best to never let her hear any secret you want to keep safe. Every bit of information had its price tag after all. ”As for as your request Mr. Quinn, I would be more than willing to sit down with you and talk about my business and business contacts sometime.
