Well here is some ideas for the awards for the verse. I also have images for them all bu I need to get them to photo bucket so they can be open to be used when needed. I could still use other ideas for ribbons and also much more feed back if possible.

Post awards:
Character Approval Ribbon

(For creating a character that gets approved by admin)

Creative Poster Ribbon

(Discretionary Award given by Captain's of ships or Admin for creative posts. any player is allowed to submit a request for another player to receive this to a captain or a Admin)

Exceptional Poster Ribbon

( (Discretionary Award given by Admin for posts that really stand out)

Climactic Post Ribbon

(This award is provided by Captain's or Admins for a post that pecks a climactic scene. This is one of those posts the draws everyone attention and really adds to the story)

Ten Post Ribbon

(For reaching 10 posts on the server)

Fifty Post Ribbon

(For reaching 50 posts on the server)

One Hundred Post Ribbon

(For reaching 100 posts on the server)

Two Hundred Post Ribbon

(For reaching 200 posts on the server)

Five hundred post Ribbon

(For reaching 500 posts on the server)

Three Months Consecutive Posting Ribbon

(For posting at least 4 RP posts a month for 6 months)

Six Months Consecutive Posting Ribbon

(For posting at least 4 RP posts a month for 6 months)

One year Consecutive Posting

(For posting at least 4 RP posts a month for 12 months)


Time awards:
six Months on Forum Ribbon

(Awarded upon your 6 months from joining the forum)

One Year on Forum Ribbon

(Awarded upon your 12 months from joining the forum)

Two Years on Forum Ribbon

(Awarded upon your 24 months from joining the forum)

Three Years on Forum Ribbon

(Awarded upon your 24 months from joining the forum)


Merit ribbons:

Contest Winner Ribbon

(For winning an admin run contest)


Plot Line Creation Ribbon

(Awarded by Admin for assisting in the creation of a plot line that is played by at least 3 people and totaling at least 10 posts)

Server Plot Line Creation Ribbon

(Awarded by Admin for assisting in the creation of a plot line that involved at lest 5 people from more then one ship and totaling at least 16 posts)

Administrative Assistance Ribbon

(Awarded by admin for assisting the admin outside of plot line development)

Administrator Ribbon

(Awarded upon becoming and Admin. Recipients will continue to wear this ribbon even after they leave admin status)

Ship Captains Ribbon

(Awarded to All ship Captains and to be wore even if they no longer captain a ship)

Novice Recruiters Ribbon

(Awarded for recruiting 1 person)

Senior Recruiter Ribbon

(Awarded for recruiting 2 people)

Expert Recruiter Ribbon

(Awarded for recruiting 5 people)

Master Recruiter Ribbon

(Awarded for recruiting 10 people)

Red Sun of the Verse Ribbon

(Must be given signed off on by at least 2 admins for outstanding service to The Verse. It is the third highest award possible)

Blue Sun of the Verse Ribbon

(Must be given signed off on by at least 2 admins for outstanding service to The Verse. It is the second highest award possible)

The White Sun of Honor

(A recipient must be submitted by someone other then themselves and must be approved by a all members of the Admin team to be awarded for service provided to the verse. Be it the best act of role playing ever seen or major efforts to improve the site or mass recruiting this member has stood out above that of expectation. and is the highest award possible providing the member with the highest bragging rights in the Verse.)

I figured I would post to show people how it would look as well.
So first off I will have the:

Ten post and 50 post ribbons
the 6 ans 12 month with forum ribbon
and novice and senior recruiter ribbons


So it should look like this

Though the way I have done these was just by putting the link to each image to make the whole I will have to do it on photoshop to add them all together in to one so it doesn't tak up much sig space.

I agree it seems like you have it pretty well thought out. If you need a hand getting caught up on assigning peoples awards let me know. That is if it all gets put in to place.

Roark this would be yours for all I know so far. like everyone else I will need to know if you have recruited anyone or any plots you have made that meet the needed levels. Also I am working on devises to add to one like creative posts and plots so it can designate multiples.

Ryan Hannigan here is your current ribbons as I know it so far. I am sure you have several of the recruiting ribbons I need to add due to you having been here since the start of it all, just need to know how many so I can get that updated.

Kyla Monroe yours are currently as follows. I figured I would just start setting up everyone's as I go in case it does get implemented. if not it was fun either way.

I was thinking an advertisers ribbon for people who post advertisements of "The Verse" on other forums. this would award people for helping bring in new members. This way when they aren't the directly bringing new people to the site themselves they can still be awarded for helping in the process. Sort of like an alternate recruiting ribbon.

I found an award system I was able to add to the forum to see how it'd look, it would show the awards in your profile. I've left the coding added in so you can see how it'd look. There seems to be a bit of a bug or some misplaced coding as it put all the awards I added for the testing into everyone's profile and I don't see where I'm able to give out the awards to someone, but that could have something to do with my admin privilege settings. Though that can be worked out at a later time.

**EDIT** Nevermind I figured it out What I was seeing wasn't a coding issue it was the option for me to add awards to people's profiles! I had to log into one of my other characters to check it out SO! that means the coding works perfectly, so for the visual affect I've added all the awards I put in just to test the coding on my profile so take a look-see

Kyla that is perfect. I think with the hidden thing where you can click and see it is best so there isn't to much clutter.

I'll need to get a discription for each one so when someone hovers over it they can see the award discriptions for what they are. I will also have to keep going through and figuring out what everyone should have so far. This is time consuming as I have to go through everyones posts to see if they have posted the 4 times a month for 3/6/12/24 months straight.

I personally like the consecutive post one as it is harder to get then many others and it encourages people to post 4 times a month in RP threads this will assist for some people in activity. I know I am gunning for it now.

(edit: I did notice that if you did put in all the awards it didn't show them all as it goes of the side of the row. Is there anyway to split them up in to multiple rows so they all sow?)

The descriptions are a simple thing, I just didn't add any for the purpose of the testing

As far as getting what everyone should have currently that would be great if you had the time to do that, all you'd need to do is make a list of what they have, no need to worry about which image it is, should take some of the pain out of it. The system that's in use doesn't need the image coding to add to people's profiles, it finds them automatically when I have them named correctly in my photobucket ^_^

Also I'm sure there are some other great ideas on what awards we could have in addition, where did you find all your graphics from btw?

Agree. I will get that list started as soon as I get home from work today. I am actually down with about 1/2 of a page of the members section. I should be able to get all 4 pages down in less then a week.
