So I've been thinking... When I first joined up, I read every thread on this site, to know what was going on, and what I missed out on and stuff. Luckily, it hadn't been so much.
But now, we're months further and we've put in a lot of work. And unlike me, there's people who don't have the time to read the entire site to catch up.
So I've come up to an idea for newbies who don't have time to read everything, but still want to know what's going on, and what has happened in the 'Verse.
What if we make a section on this site, that has summaries of every thread that has happened and closed? Threads like e.g. Cleaning and Thinking and Target Practice?
e.g.:
Thread title: Summary Target Practice.
And then write stuff without any dialogues, like: "On Rade's cue, Trevor reluctantly made a run for the window, drawing the thugs' fire from both Jaclyn and Rade, giving them a chance to return fire."
And then, if something isn't clear yet, people can post questions beneath it. For example:
Q: Why was Jaclyn dizzy and disoriënted? A: Because Rade pulled her from her feet, causing her to bump her head.
I myself wouldn't mind writing a summary every now and then. Perhaps some of you wouldn't either?
What do you guys think?

I think it's a good idea. It would be nice to get other feedback though, to see if anyone else would participate.

I think this idea is a lot like communism. It's an awesome idea, and it works out great on paper, but we might not be able to maintain it in practice. At least, I know I wouldn't be able to keep track, since I'm a lazy person and wouldn't bother to post when my topics were done.

Faye makes a good point.
unless someone volunteers to keep things updated, it's unlikely that updates would be anything but sporadic. i know most everyone's schedule is pretty tight, and they'd probably prefer to use that time for writing for fun.
so, to summarize: great idea, but can we make it work?

I agree with you guys. I know I certainly don't have time to keep up with it--I hardly have any time for the three sites I run as-is, let alone a new board to moderate! xD If we had more administrators at The 'Verse to pick up some of my slack it would be made more possible.

I would happily volunteer to help out, Amy, if you saw it fit. Since I have no life, I could probably keep up with things. Up to you.
