out of character character discussion

I thought it would be cool if we could have a place to talk about our characters and how we feel they turned out.

For example: When I was creating him, Aaron Legran was going to be cool but I ended up creating him as a complete tool and the kind of guy no one likes unless you too are a complete tool...

Well I think this is a good idea.

But it's the same for everyone, it's just on how your characters treat people, and how others react to them that defines them.

It's just one character's personality and background, vs. another character's.

Like Rade Grasan for instance, he pulls a gun immediately because of what happened to him, so for him that's a good reason. But other characters may think he's crazy, or a gun nut while in fact he's not. And he hates the Alliance so much he's even shunned his own sister for it.

And Kylie Grasan, she's sweet and nice to others, and some characters may find that a good personality trait, while others may find it totally sickening. Also, she's in a position in which she has to be brave, but she doesn't want to hurt people. So some characters may think she's a coward but the truth is, she's just scared.
Although I am planning to have Kylie toughen up a bit during her stay on the Esteem.

As for Ben, he likes to trust people, and treats everyone with respect. And so far, his own crew all have personalities that match that, so they all get along. But maybe some day the Orlando might take on a passenger or a Companion that doesn't get along with him, or anyone else on the crew. And then the trouble starts.
And some think he's a hero, but others could think he was a complete reckless idiot.
Like, I know for a fact that Ben isn't going to get along with Faye if he sees that she's verbally abusing Rade. So he's definately going to lecture her on how to treat her crew. And knowing Faye, she's gonna take it the wrong way.
