Admiral's Adjutant [Tigh/Open]

Nicholas had just arrived aboard the Esteem and had quickly been sent to his quarters to drop his gear. Now he was walking the halls toward the Admiral's office to make introductions. This was Park's first assignment and he wasn't entirely sure of what to expect. The job of an adjutant was incredibly useful but not all commanders enjoyed having one especially having to 'break-in' a new one. Hopefully this Admiral Tigh Vangard would be welcoming and appreciative to have the help.

Nicholas didn't have access to any records and didn't even have much time on the ship or in the military itself to learn anything about the man other than his rumors about his impressive record, as would be expected of any admiral. Most of the rest of the crew was apparently very 'young' both in age and experience. Hopefully that would make it easier for a fresh ensign like himself to get by.

After a short walk, Nick entered the Admiral's office, the door being open. The ensign knocked on the opened door regardless. "Ensign Park, reporting for duty, sir." he said as he snapped a salute. "I'm assigned to be your personal adjutant, sir."

There was alot of new crew showing up today and not a moment to soon really. Tigh was running out of time to get everything ready for Riders arrivel and he was going to need the extra crew to make everything work. He had a new adjutant assigned to him that allowed him to place Commander fairchild on as the Assitant Chief of Oporations. That ment while the Duke was on the ship that Inaka would be able to take charge of the ship while Tigh was tied up with that.

He was also expecting Commander Hanson to arrive shortly and that he could take over as his CAG so he didn't have such a young pilot filling the position. Hanson wouldn't be to happy about that he was sure but that was the way the cards would play out for now.

Tigh had just recieved a message from the shuttle bay that another shuttle was getting ready to land. The Shuttle Commander Hanson was bound in on. He planned to meet him in person, but as he was getting ready to do so his new recuit shoed up. "Ensign Park." He started as he retunred the mans salute. "Glad your finally here. Seems we got a lot ot go over to get you up to speed but we will have to put that on hold for now as we have a lot of new arrivles today."

Tigh stood up from his desk and walked over and shook the mans hand. "Walk with." He asked him as he stepped out the door of his officer. "We got a few days till Duke Rider is to show up on the ship and we got to get all our affairs in order for his arrivel. There is another shuttle that is bound to arrive in a few minute that will be bringing in our full time CAG. I will need you to get our acting CAG and bring him down there."

He knew the kid had no idea where anything would be found including the acting CAG so he didn't shuffle him off yet of course. he would let him ask any questions he had first then send him off.

Apparently the door had been opened for a reason. Park caught him just as the admiral was leaving. Tigh gave a very short introduction of the work ahead of them and then gave the ensign orders to find the C.A.G.

"Who is the CAG, sir?" Nicholas asked. "I assume you don't expect him to be in the hanger."

He could use a bit more information but he didn't have the time for twenty questions. Not only did the admiral need the CAG now but it would also be an awful first impression if the ensign needed to have his hand held on his first little assignment.

They continued to walk down the hall heading in the direction of the shuttle bay where the new commander was to be arriving in a few minutes. Ensign Park began to ask questions about the acting CAG as they walked along. "I believe he should be off duty at the moment so he won't be in the hanger at the moment." Tigh began to explain.

"Lieutenant Miller is the current acting CAG. I need him in the hanger right away to meet with Commander Hanson. Try to be quick finding him." He knew the job that he was giving the new Ensign was a hard task not knowing the ship or the Lieutenant but that was part of Tigh's plan he wanted to test the kid at being about to act on orders quickly and efficiently.

The admiral not only answered his questions but also explained a bit into the 'why' of the assignment. He now had a name and confirmation that the man was likely off-duty. That at least narrowed things down a bit for the new officer.

"Yes, sir." Nicholas replied once the admiral had finished speaking. Immediately the ensign turned from his side and rushed off in the other direction from the hanger. He'd try to find and then check the locations where someone would be spending their down time: the officer's lounge, mess hall, and even personal quarters. If for some reason the lieutenant was on duty or simply still in the hanger then it would be of no consequence because the admiral would be able to find him himself.
