Syeira and Sam first met in the war, they both fought for the independents. Sam saved her ass, something the gypsy won't forget.

By chance Syeira was able to track down Sam years after the war, she was looking for help in rescuing some folk from her home village that'd been kidnapped by slavers.

Regardless of any disagreements or anything they may have, Syeira will always be very protective of Sam, along with any of her crew.

This handsome devil is Marlon Loomis. He's mentioned in Sam's past as a member of the Red Nova pirates, and was quite possibly the leader at one time or another.

After the gang was mostly all wiped out, he settled on the planet of Beaumonde and currently runs various dealings -- illegal arms, drugs and whatever else he can traffic that isn't of the most lawful kind. His aim is to raise enough coin to get his hands on a new ship and revive the Red Novas to their former glory.

He is : Ruthless, uncaring, , loyal to his own. Owns twin spring-loaded pistols rigged up each sleeve.

Most likely, he will be an NPC that can later on return to either cause a little grief for Sam, or offer some work for the crew that goes horribly wrong.

Black, skeletal and dull metal make up Sam's replacement left forearm. The injury was a result of a raid gone bad, where an explosion left Sam under a collapsed support strut, her arm smashed beyond repair and requiring a false replacement if she were ever to fly the same again.
Luckily, Marlon knew a guy... and thus, after some dirty, back-alley surgery on one of the seedier planets in the 'Verse, Grady got a new arm.</sup> -- _{Don't be scared, kiddies.}[/center]
