Hey folks, Eno here. I've returned, and want to get some plots going for my characters. Just thought I'd rehash what they've been through so far, say where they are now, and then ask for some thoughts, as I don't know what's happening round the 'Verse, nor am I acquainted with most of these ships (I see the Esteem has a new crew, though! yay!)
Okay, here goes my character round-up.
Ethan Pike; Here's some background history on him:
An Alliance captain, but a bit of a maverick. Unafraid to break protocol for the good of his crew. Former twice-captain of the Esteem (first time he was assigned to captain it, the crew had just survived a Reaver attack. Lined up a strange crew to get it flying again [including a Browncoat, Erik Saints]), court-martialed four times for insubordination and reckless action. Reassigned to the Esteem after an 8 month absence (during which time the interim captain, Captain Borden, was killed by his own crew.)
That's where I disappeared from the site, so now I see that there's a new crew and commander for the Esteem. I am going to say that Ethan was court-martialed for the fourth time for some offence on his second tour of duty aboard the Esteem, and that he's no longer assigned there.
The Alliance likes having him around because he is a fantastic leader, but they hate his insubordination.
Possibly plots:
I could see him being assigned as a watchdog type role aboard an Alliance vessel - possibly the Nautilus? I'm not sure exactly what the Alliance's role is concerning this ship.
Or Ethan goes neutral, and starts roaming the 'Verse looking for something to do. This is also possible as he's become rather disillusioned with the Alliance. However, it seems like there's a bit of a shortage of Alliance personnel, so I'd prefer to keep him affiliated with them.
Wow, this is like an essay.
Second character, Myra Flynn:
Trained as a Companion, Myra's looking for adventure in the 'Verse. Originally I had her join the Nicodemus as a passenger, but I'd rather have her do something new - I feel a little awkward roleplaying as if she'd been on the crew this whole time.
Any ship looking for a resident Companion?
Third character, Neil Barad:
originally shipped aboard the Orlando as a mechanic, but, as with Myra, I think I'd prefer to have him join a new ship. A bit of a drunkard, but a sweet-natured man. Ridiculously sentimental and romantic.
Okay folks, anyone want to plot with me?
