I'm going to keep this real simple and flexible-like...
Both the player and the character are green as they come.

Guiselle is on a core world, seeking passage to the rim. She can either book passage or rent a shuttle, depending on the situation. I'm flexible as far as the plots that she is involved in, which is why I've kept the starting core world and the destination rim world blank.
Since she's such a greenhorn, there is the possibility that she'll get taken advantage of. If she picks up a few scars along the way, so much the better. Kill your darlings and all that.

First off, welcome to the 'Verse!

We're all a big family here, and we're glad to have you. =]

My name is Chris[tina].

I have two characters/starting plots to offer up, though I'm sure I won't be the only one interested in playing with your character.

Firstly, the Lenore is hungering for some jobs and transport is right up their alley. There are only a few characters on the ship right now, but we're slowly building it back up to its former glory. She could get a ride and then get dropped off or hang out for a while if she likes the crew [which she probably won't, hehe].

Second, I have a character called Jack Briggs who is a small-time criminal who likes to pretend he's legit. If you're looking for a ride, he can find you one and offer you an ally as well.

Some better offers will probably turn up from some more active ships, but I thought I'd throw down a couple ideas.
