[[This thread takes place between the time frame of October 4th to October 20th, 2522
Mostly taking place in the city of Lu’Weng, Capitol of Sihnon. This is also a closed thread, mostly just for informational/background purposes.]]
--------------------------
Sian's trip to Sihnon felt longer than it actually was. She didn't sleep well, her mind was a fluster of thoughts. The situation she had with Jack Briggs was confusing, and worrying. That was on top of her already fretting about the Senator. She was on her way to see him die. That too broke her heart. Adam had promised that he'd hang on for her until she arrived, no doubt he was being pumped full of drugs so that he could keep that promise. She'd known him for nearly five years, he was one of her first clients.
Senator Adam Richardson was one of the few good political figures there were and now he was being taken away from the 'verse by a terminal illness, at a mere 33 years old. He never contracted another companion after he met Sian, even during the time when she saw no clients at all. Adam just waited until she was ready and convinced her to see him.
Simon, the Senator's long-time butler, met Sian at the docks. He'd brought a vehicle so that they could get to the estate quickly, rather than her usual preference to walk. He assured her that he would take care of her luggage and she went inside nearly running.
He was so pale and had lost so much weight since she saw him last. Sian immediately began to cry, there was no fight this time, she could tell that this would be it. The companion in her wouldn't dare tell her not to cry now. It wasn't the same as it had been her last trip here, there was no false alarm. Adam was asleep, there was a chair next to the bed, so she sat and rested her hand on top of his. Part of her couldn't help but wish she'd taken Jack up on his offer to come with her, she could use his caring support right now.
The next seven hours were a blur, the Senator had woken up at some point and the two just talked for a long time. He told Sian he was getting tired again, so the companion gave him a kiss before his eyes closed. An hour later he was gone, a good soul, a good man taken from the world. Senator Adam Richardson passed away in his sleep on October 5th 2:13am at his estate in Lu'Weng.

The funeral preparations were in the hands of Sian and Simon for the most part. It was a small intimate ceremony, small for a politician's funeral anyway. They had agreed that they did not want a big 'to-do' much to the disagreement to Adam's ex-wife Kareena, she showed up two days after his passing. Simon suggested that she stay at one of the local inns rather than the estate, it was obvious to Sian that he did not trust her constant and unsupervised presence in the house. So Sian was able to use her politeness and grace to agree with Simon about Kareena, avoiding a big argument between the two.
The ex-wife tried to have a hand in everything, from the obituary to the after dinner. Being between Kareena and Simon was uncomfortable for Sian, the two always seemed to find something to disagree on. She couldn't tell who was the instigator at times, they just equally disliked the other.
After much debating the funeral was set and held on October 10th. Sian kept herself out of the spotlight, being that she was the companion of the Senator she didn't want people asking inappropriate questions of her. Simon knew it so when someone would ask him about the companion he played it off and changed the subject. As the days had gone by though Kareena had began to look at Sian with a hateful eye. She didn't expect the woman to like her but she did expect her to stay civil.
So the funeral ended without too much drama, Sian was relieved about that. She and some others had been asked to meet with Adam's attorney the next day, she guessed it had to do with his will and other legal things. The companion didn't think much of the fact that she'd been asked to be there, the last few days she had been feeling numb. Now that the worst part was over she was tempted to wave Jack and see how things were, maybe see if she could try to figure out if the last time they were together had changed anything. Under the guise of getting an update on her new potential clients of course. Sian fought off that thought though, she could wait until she got back to Persephone for that.

Sian and Simon were the first to arrive at the office the next morning. Over the next half hour a few others showed up, including Kareena. With everyone finally here, Gerald Lawel, Adam's attorney was able to begin.
"First I'd like to thank you all for joining me here this morning, as with Senator Richardson's wishes I've asked you here for the reading of his will.
I ask that you all remain silent while I read, once I'm finished you may speak. I repeat, speak. Not yell. There will be some paperwork I'll need some of you to sign as well. I won't be reading word-for-word, however I have copies available should any of you like to take one with you."
Gerald handed everyone an envelope that corresponded with their name, Sian took hers and recognized Adam's handwriting that was her name on the front.
"These were written by Adam over time, I was asked to give them to you all to read at your own leisure. As you all are aware Senator Richardon's estate and finances are vast so I've made this as simple as possible to explain. The main house here on Sihnon will become the property of Simon, as well as 25% of his monetary wealth. The house located on Londinium will remain in the hands of Kareena and will officially belong to her. Sian will receive 40% of the monetary wealth. The remaining 35% shall be divided up into the various charities that Adam specified."
Gerald stopped and chaos ensued. Sian had become wide-eyed and in shock when her name was mentioned. She was shook out of it when Kareena began to yell and scream. There was alot of cursing in Sian's general direction, the older woman was very angry that a companion had been given any part of Adam's fortune. She had spat the word 'companion' like it was filth, her eyes were full of hate, if looks could kill Sian wouldn't have survived that one. Mister Lawel quickly asked for Kareena to leave, she did, with much yelling on her way out. He looked apologetically in Sian's direction. She nodded and shrugged as if saying it wasn't his fault.
It was another two hours of going over the paperwork and such before Sian was able to leave, she'd let everyone else go through there's first. Gerald suggested that she add in a benefactor of the money just in case. Sian thought for a few minutes, she didn't really have very many that were close to her. Her family definitely wouldn't need the money, they were wealthy on their own. She smiled as she filled in the appropriate places on the form, using an additional piece of paper for extra room. Making sure to put multiple ways of getting in touch with this person. She also informed the attorney that the person in question wouldn't have any idea about this, just as a forewarning.

[October 14th, 2522]
It'd been a few days since Kareena's uproar at the office, she hadn't been around since. Simon had been busy with his own thing so he hadn't been around much. Sian had been left alone, which was fine, more time to think. With the surprise left to her by Adam she could step away from being a companion if she wanted to. Did she want to, really want to? What else would she do? She wasn't sure, sitting around doing nothing all day, everyday wasn't very appealing though. If Sian quit being a companion she'd have to find something else to do with her time that was for sure.
Sian decided to check out what was going on in the world, glancing through the most recent headlines. There was one that caught her eye, from this morning, here in Lu'Weng..she gasped when she realized it. The headline read, "Rich Senator Gives Whore Majority of Fortune While Wife Gets Nothing!" She shook her head in disbelief. This was about Adam..but it was all...wrong. Reading on she saw quotes from Kareena, Sian glared at the words. The lies she was spinning. She had been smart not to use Sian's name, something like that could be checked on and Kareena would be made out to be the liar she was. The companion couldn't necessarily come forward to call her in her lies, not without putting her personal life in the middle of this chaos. Not to mention the lives of her other clients and the guild itself.
She needed to get off of this planet, away from that...that woman. Sian took the back exit to leave the property, avoiding the few media folk who had planted themselves at the front gates. She had packed her things and left a note for Simon, she'd stay at an inn closer to the docks. Also including that she would be leaving soon, but not without saying goodbye to him.
They spoke later and planned to meet for lunch the next day, so Sian found a transport heading to Persephone about the same time she expected to be done. She paid them half in advance. Lunch with Simon was pleasant, he couldn't believe what Kareena had done, but assured Sian that he would do his best to correct the lies without compromising the companion. They gave their goodbyes and promised to keep in touch, then Sian was on her way. She paid the captain the other half of the wage for her transport and boarded, heading straight for what would be her room. They were due to land on Persephone on October 21st, approximately 10:00pm.
Sian left her room very few times, still unable to sleep well. Two other passengers had also boarded from Sihnon, they weren't talkative, which suited the companion just fine. She did make sure to send Jack a wave, letting him know when she expected to be home. Leaving the message with one of his men since he was not around at the time.
