Smuggler's Ally, New Cannan: January 24th 2523
Mr. Dover had passed down his orders to the rest of his men leaving Rick in charge of dealing with the Trinity crew. They were dropping supplies off but that wasn't really the purpose of this little metting. His mean would deal with the Trinity crew and keep them busy while he secured the real cargo. The companion that was with them that they were going to be taking t the Maiden's Mercy. It was going to make them a fortune.
For now Dover was waiting in his personal quarters at the wearhouse for the companion to show up. Then he would just make nice with her till the Trinity crew was gone then they would be able to take her with no resistance. After a few minutes wait the shuttle showed up and landed behiind the place and Dover made his way out to the shuttle standing just outside it waiting for the Companion to open the hatch up and let him in.

Kalli wasn't much of a pilot, she had never flown before really other then a few classes from Jamie back on the Orlando but that was all out in space with nothing to run in to. Nothing to worry about there, this though was flying on a planet, she had gotten a few pointers from Cadan and Dani before departing and luckly the shuttle was fairly straight forward.
She waited till the crew had left with the supplies to drop them off before she set out to the wearhouse. By now Cadan and Tari were surely heading in to get the files and the rest of the crew should be showing up as well.
She landed the shuttle just behind the warehouse on the landing pad she had been instucted to. Within seconds there was a man standing outside the shuttle waiting for her to open it. "Ok, Kalli stay calm, there is nothing to worry about. Nothing is going to happen and you will be out of here soon." She tried to reassure herself.
She walked over to the hatch and opened it up. The man walked up to her with a smile on his face. "It's a pleasure to met you Mr. Dover. Please come on in." She stepped to the side to allow him to enter the shuttle. The shuttle was done up in standard compainion fashion. Candles, incents, and the like. Now to just keep him busy so he wouldn't get to forward. "Please tell me a bit about yourself our conversation on the cortex was so brief." SHe did everything in her power to not sem nervous but she couldn't help but play with her hands.

Mr. Dover took her invitation and walked on to the shuttle. It was quite nicely set up. The kind of thing you would expect from an experienced companion. He had looked over her records, it looked as though she had been a companion for about two years, served quite the elite clientele though much of the list of names were inaccessible, usually the make of high ranking officials. She would fetch a great price.
"The pleasure it all mine Ms. Bernett. I am glad you were able to meet me on such short notice." He was quite friendly and seemed the type of person you could trust. "We don't see to many companions out here on New Cannan. It is quite the distance from the guild after all." He was laid back and was more then willing to make simple conversation with her as she wanted. He would give his men some time so they could hopefully have the supplies off loaded and the crew on their way back to the Trinity.
"I'm not sure how much there is to say about me that wouldn't bore you really. I am a business man and I have spent most my life here on New Cannan. I would offer to show you my operation but it is a lack luster warehouse with little going on at the moment. I would hate to waste your time with that. Please tell me a bit about yourself, I am sure you have had a far more interesting life them myself." His speech was slow but not dragging. His voice didn't waver with any sign of discomfort.

Kalli was starting to feel a bit more comfortable Mr. Dover actually seemed like a nice man. They really had no reason to think he was a bad guy. He was nice and pleasant. "I have to admit that I haven't to much experiance myself. After finishing the Academy I rented a shuttle with the Trinity." She walked over and grabs a tea pot and a couple of cups then took a seat across from the little table in the center of the shuttle.
She poured up a little tea in each glass and served one to him. She wasn't really to showy about it not like a companion would be but she managed not to make a fool of herself yet. "The ship does do alot of travling which has been quite exciting to have the opertunity to see the verse. As you know we left from Persephone before that we were at Newhall. It is quiet the beautiful place." Her speak was very controled, something she didn't do much anymore though her upbringing had taught her how to sound a bit more up scale then she normally did. She smiled at the man when she was done talking hoping he wouldn't start to become to direct, they hadn't been there long now and if she was luck Tari and Cadan would be getting close soon and then she would be able to find a way out of there.

Mr. Dover hadn't noticed that Kalli seemed a bit on edge. He listened to her speak. "Sounds far more interesting then anywhere I have been." He replied to her as he took a sip of his drink. Their conversation went on for a few more minutes and it seemed everything was going well. Soon the Trinity crew would be gone and then they would be able to take the companion without any issue.
That is if things hadn't gone so wrong in the warehouse with the others. Mr. Dover heard the shots fire off from inside the warehouse. He could see a look of shock on Kalli's face. She wouldn't want to hang around with that going on and it was time for action. Mr. Dover quickly stood up and stepped over to Kalli. With one hand he reached down and grabbed her arm the other reached behind his back and pulled a gun. "My apologies Ms. Bernett, but we are going to have to take a little trip it seems."
He pulled her to her feet and walked her swiftly to the fron of the shuttle forcing her down in to the second seat. He sat down in the pilot seat, keeping the pistol pointed at her all the while, and got the shuttle started up and then up off the ground.

Kalli was glad everything was going well and without him being pushy. She was just about ready to make some sort of excuse to have to leave in a hurry when the gun shots went off. Her attention instantly went to the rest of the crew, she hadn't expected that Mr. Dover would make any issue. She had actually expected him to take off out of the ship giving her the perfect opportunity to get out of there. She had even thought about going out behind him to try and help. She had packed a small .22 under her dress not that it was easy to get to or that she was wearing anything that would make it easy to fight in. By the time she realized she was in trouble Mr. Dover had already gotten up and began to speak to her. He pulled a gun on her, she didn't rwally know what to do. She had some practice with guns and dealing with people with them but never one on one in such close quarters. Sidney had always been there to make sure she was safe before. She froze up and did exactly wha he wanted. "why are you doing this?"She walked to the cockpit and took a seat. Slowly as the man began to fly she turned to the side away from him and tryed to slowly creep her dress up. He was focused on flying maybe if she was careful enough she could get to the gun. His gin lowered, no longer pointing directly at her. This was her chance. He flipped the last of her dress up and reached for the gun. --------------- Outfit since I forgot earlier

A few brief moments and the shuttle was long gone from the sight of the City, Baal was long gone, then the ship was over the wastes. The wastes incompassed the majority of the planet, Dark and bleek with active volcanos everywhere. There was little out here but horrible ways to die. "It's nothing personal Ms. Bernett but a man has to make a living somehow."
as they drifted further and further from what little civilization there was on New Cannan Mr. Dover's attention to keeping her at bay faded. Slowly he became more comfortable at least as far as Kalli could tell. He weapon lowered as time passed. He didn't say anything more to her as they flew off. He could tell she was scare.
He noticed her attempts to go undetected as her dress reached up to her knee. At first he didn't react, instead waiting to see what she was doing. He hadn't figured on her having a gun, but the second she flipped her dress up to her thigh revealing the barrle of the gun he stood up, pistol still in hand.
He loomed over her as he rase the pistol again and swung it toward her. the cold steal hitting the side of her head near her ear, knocking her out of the seat and to the floor. "I'm disapointed Ms. Bernett. If you wanted to shot me I would suggest you were a little more creative about it."
He bent down on one knee beside her holding the gun now pointed at her chest. His other hand reached under her dress he could tell now that a wave of fear had passed over her. He slide his hand over the holster on her thigh and pulled the gun out then brought it back out from under the dress. "I could do far worse to you then just point a gun at you Ms. Bernett. I suggest you just sit back and don't try anything more."
He slide the extra gun in his belt and then proceeded to search her the rest of the way to make sure she didn't have any other weapon. "We can't afford to have any more surprised now can we." He gave her a smile then sat back down in the pilots seat and continued to fly the ship.

When Mr. Dover's pistol hit her his vision burred for a second. Her head began to throb. For a moment she was confused, unsure of what had happened. She could hear him mention something about disappointment. As her vision returned to normal she could see the man standing over her, his gun pointed at her.
Her hands began to search around the floor, had she pulled the gun, did she drop it when he hit her? That is when she felt terrified. She could feel his hand slide up her leg slowly, up her caff, over her knee and to her inner thigh. What was he doing, why was he doing this. That is when his hand grabbed on to her holster and pulled the precariously placed pistol out. For a moment it felt like her heart had stopped. That moment dragged on as he pulled the gun back and began to talk to her.
She was stunned with fear unable to move. He was much bigger then she was, more muscular and now the only one that was armed. There would be little she could do at this point, he would make the mistake of dropping his guard, or at least seemingly dropping it, again.
Finally he returned to his seat gun still in hand. She layed there on the floor for a few more minutes not saying anything, then finally picking herself back up. Her eyes now begining to build tears. "They'll come find me you know. Sidney will find me and..." She paused again trying to keep herself from getting chocked up. How would he find her though she didn't know where he was taking her so how would Sidney and the other know. More importantly there were alot of shots being fired out there when she left, where they alright.

Mr. Dover was cold, and univiting as Kalli picked herself back up his weapon maintaning its aim on her. His focus not shifting when she spoke her threat was meaning less now. "Your friends are dead by now Ms. Bernett. There is no one coming for you." He replied. He knew she was full of fear and losing hope.
In his eyes that was a good thing. If she ran out of hope she would run out of fight as well. "Even if there was someone left to come find you it will be to late." His voice harsh and delivering a devistating blow to her. "How about I let you in on the little secret since you seem so eager to get away from me. Soon we'll be at the Maiden's Mercy and you cn part ways with me there."
He turned to look at her, to see her reaction. "Once there you'll be someone elses property, the highest bidder. I am sure you will fetch a good price." he paused a moment evaluating how she reacted. "Though I must admit I am tempted to keep you for myself. You have a real fire about you, I like that." It was ment as a threat something to keep her from trying anything more. "Feel free to keep showing me that fire and maybe I will keep you around long enough for us to get a bit more personal what do ya think?" A smile crossed his face as he finished talking. As he taked the Maiden's Mercy came it to view they would be ready to dock any minute now.

Kalli's fear turned to sadness as the man talked of her friends and how they would be dead by now. That couldn't be right, Sidney wouldn't let that happen, neither would Roger, they couldn't be dead. Plus alot of the crew was still on the trinity. They had to be alive, they would have rushed out to save the others right, and now they would all be looking for her.
As Kalli's thoughts trailed on Mr. Dover's statements went in a different direction, a much more sinister direction. He was planning to sell her as a slave or worse keep her for himself? Was this all because she was acting as a companion? He had gotten her for the wrong reason. "Look I'm not what you think I am. I'm not a real companion. This.. this was just a job. I'm not a companion."
By this point the tears were rolling down her face, her voice was shaky. She pushed hr back against the side of the shuttle to the far side of her seat to get what distance she could between her and Mr. Dover. She had never been this scared in her life. All she could think about was being back on the Trinity with her friends, where she was safe.

Dover docked the ship with the Maiden's Mercy as Kalli was now huddled in the corner trying to pass off as not being a real companion. Who knows it might be true but the paper work was legitimate and that is all that mattered. Even if she wasn't a real companion and had some connection that could make such realistic paperwork, even a record in the Companions Guild's computers, Then it would pass the test for getting her on the stage to be sold.
He was guaranteed a decent pay check from this and by the looks of her she would fetch a good price, ten percent of which was his on top of the fee for getting her here. Today was his lucky day. "Authentic or not you will fetch a great price tonight. We're here Ms. Bernett so just keep a cool head about you and this will all be over with soon."
He stood up from the chair and stood over her, reaching down he grabbed her arm and pulled her to her feet. He wrpped his arm around her pulling her tightly against him. "No more games Ms. Bernett remember I'll be looking to see that fire in you untill the second you are sold." He wispered in to her ear in an attempt to make sure she would remeber his threat of what he would do to her if she tried anything.
He let go of her waist and grabbed hold of her arm walking to the hatch and opening it up. "Afternoon gentleman, I have one more for the show tonight." There were two men at the door waiting for him both armed and ready for any issues. "Take her on in Mr. Dover." one of them replied as he waved him down the hall toward the back stage of the ship. He walked her down and took her in the back door there were two other companions in there at the time along with three guards back stage and two at the door just outside.
