Jane was obedient and docile, while Nola was tough, and outspoken. Nola, a free spirit compared to her sister. Jane was set in her ways to think narrow minded.Personality Traits/Flaws:
Nola and Jane don't get along well, They would fight constantly, as sister's would. Nola still held her younger siblings in her heart and they all adored her, She has a sweet spot for children. Nola had never done well in school although the teachers said that she was a bright child. Excelling in art, and poetry at a young age, But it was that she just doesn't listen to the rules. She lived with these comments until she could finally finish school, a seemingly dark cloud over head. She was an angry, and destructive little girl. She loved to cause mayhem when she was a young child, not to get attention, but to vent her frustration with her home life, and in school she got into a lot of fights...against boys, and on occasion girls, and won all of them. They were scared of her, and Nola didn't make very many friends. The teachers told her parents that she needed to be disciplined more at home, and that was where the problem was.
Nola discovered that she doesn't like to be told what to do or how to do it, Finding her own means to fixing things.
Nola grew up in a broken home, her mother drunk all the time and Never taking care of the younger siblings, and that's when Nola stepped in and took charge as best she could. Her family was a huge mess of people so she was never alone. Little girls were always running around, cleaning had to be done, along with keeping them in check. What with her younger sisters growing up, and she staying the same, she dreamed for anything better.
Her Father took a liking to treating her punishments, when she was disobedient into a game. Burning her with cigars, calling her stupid, and wouldn't amount to anything. Making her feel worthless. He would make her sleep on the floor, and beat her till she cried, leaving her bloody. Nola knew that this wasn't the life she was meant to live, and not what her sister's deserve.
When Nola she was seventeen, and had been away from Deadwood for a while now, Bandits came to her home on her little farm , looking for her father. His debts were catching up to him and he couldn't pay. They destroyed what was there and left, luckily Nola caught wind of what happened, but had to leave her family behind, in fear of being killed herself. When she came back to find her home destroyed and everyone she ever loved dead, it made her snap. She went in search of the men, It took two years of her young life to find who raped and killed her mother and sisters.
Nola tracked each one down, and killed each and everyone of them. One, by one. Torturing them, tied them up. Scarred them, and made them beg for the sweet release of death. But she wouldn't let them have the satisfaction. She was really alone now, no one to love, and no one to call family, She made sure they'd pay. When she was finally satisfied she bled them dry, and strung them up for all the world to see, was she then done with that chapter of her life. She's no longer the little girl who was taken for granted. She's a grown woman, who if you look at the wrong way will have no problem shooting you dead.
She was forced to leave everything she had known behind her. Nola has been traveling on her own ever since then, taking odd jobs. Learning to shoot, and make it on her won. She hasn't really settled into one place because she either didn't fit in or she was getting into too many fights, so she wouldn't stay long wherever she was at. She has of gotten herself stuck between a hard place and a rock. She is a talented shooter, and people don't mess with her when she has a gun and is angry. She is definitely not someone to make mad.
When the Unification War came around Nola felt like she was the first to sign up. Nothing to lose and nothing to gain. The only woman in the squad, she was used to the treatment. Fights, and harassment, but it only made her stronger, and eventually they gained respect for the hardened woman. The unit she was trained and fought side by side called Hells Dragon's.
The Battle of Liu Bein was a turning point in Nola's life. The Hell's Dragon's were one of the forces pinned down In the Siege. Balls to the wall with alliance forces raining down on them. This was where Nola met a with a young woman called Adelle, She saved her life when Nola was left behind with only a clip left, and more than she could handle. As much as she hated to admit it. They quickly formed a bond, and became lovers. Nola wasn't tied to the constraints of modern society, because they were the perfect team, She; brute and hands on. Beat you to oblivion. Adelle, a sniper with the reflexes of a cat. Who always had her back while they were in the war.
Nola grew to love and trust her, Adelle was her world, her family and her friend. And no one, and nothing would stop them. That was until things started to take a turn for the worst, and they were no longer together. Their unit's were shipped out when the independants got word of the Alliance increasing their numbers. Nola was sent to fight on Hera, She shot, and sliced her way through the hordes of purple bellies. each and every one that she came into contact with met their bloody demise. But try as she might, they were close to losing, But all she cared about was having something to live for, something inside Adelle made her strong and feel invincible, so she fought a losing battle. Nola's blood, sweat and tears went into each shot she fired, every punch she landed. They kept coming, wave after wave of soldiers. Her unit couldn't handle the pressure of losing the fight they tried so hard to defeat. So they fled. Nola again was left alone, only this time there wasn't an angel with a AR-50 sniper rifle to shoot them down.
Nola was close to giving up, until she took it upon herself to steal a alliance ship, out of pure rage, without any other thought other than they were losing the war, she wanted only to help anyway she could, rushing to help the browncoats, firing wildly into the small units. For a while she was in the air, and destroying anyone she caught site of. It was then that her stolen ship was shot down, crashing into a small bank, the ship caught fire and Nola escaped the small vessel, only to be captured and waited the rest of the war in a alliance prison. There was only so much one could take. Nola had on two occasions tried to escape, and failed. Thrown into solitary, and beaten on a daily basis. Compared to her childhood, this was hell.
Once the war was over she was let free with nothing but the bruises on her face, and the clothes on her back, new to the world. She went in search of her love. Nola soon found out that her Adelle was lost to a Alliance grunt. Shot in the back of the head with a simple handgun. The irony almost killed her. While she was locked away, planning their future, the woman she loved was buried six feet under.
Now she's a mercenary and does jobs for money. It suits her personality well. She's a great asset to anyone who'll pay her. Some people within this universe struggle to find a niche in which they can profit and live well, Nola has her niche. Killing. Rutting, and doing them both well, preferably at the same time.
Nola is a sound person unless threatened, and then she gets really violent. She has a strong focus and ideals that she set for herself and she is going to meet her standards no matter what. Although love seems to be a touchy point for her, everyone she's ever loved has been killed, or died. She was given the nickname Belladonna.Physical description:
Impatient, sometimes kind on rare occasion, but rare. Easily annoyed and quite stubborn. Outgoing, usually when she drinks.
She can be charming and likable. If you don't set her off, She's sarcastic, and enjoys time alone.
Trim and fit, lean muscle throughout her limbs. Stands at about 5'11, slight womanly curves. Nola is the very picture of one who cares about her physical condition, but does not obsess over it. She has the build of a gymnast, built for acrobatics and athleticism, not brute strength.Aspirations:
Short light blonde hair, fair complexion, and soft blue eyes. Leather jacket, and usually wears black all the time. Combat boots, and leather gloves.
Identity Marks: Scars laced like vines. From grenade shrapnel, The explosion scared the right side of her body, shoulder side of stomach, and around a bit of her hip, from numerous fights, and jobs she's had to endure. The scars are light pink, and slightly raised. She has healed well considering.

[/blockquote]Where did you find us?: Misc:
Nola favors both sexes, and indulges in visiting brothels often, and drinking whiskey till she can't see. Smokes, and enjoys cigars.
Along the way, Nola also started up an addiction to Push, a synthetic opiate, but she only uses in secret and is a very, very high-functioning addict.
Equipment: Grenades, Pump action shotgun, Berretta 92 FS, anything she can get her hands on. Nola has a sweet spot for shotguns, no two ways about it. They make a mess and are cheap to get ammo for. More frequently however, her handgun has gotten better and better with additional peripherals and sights.
Other personal weapons are kept to hand, but are far more crude. Knuckle dusters, personal stun stick and her favourite...the simple but effective mace spray. Bowie Knives and switch-blades are in pockets, boots and other places.
Anyone might think she was a merc, but the simple fact is...she needs to implore violence frequently and often to see tomorrow as much as she did today.
