OCC: Backstory is that James Clark won the Lenore in a game of cards against previous Captain, Connor Beckett. This thread takes place two months after with Lenore bound for St. Albans.

James stood on the catwalk over looking the cargo bay, it had been sixty-two days since he had won himself the firefly class ship named Lenore. Sixty-two whole days and almost sixty-three. While he had won the ship fair and square from her previous owner, Connor Beckett, James felt oddly out of place for the first time since the days following the wars conclusion.
Out of place.
Unsure of what to do with himself. He was in command of a great bunch of people but he still did not know where he stood with them. They all seemed pleasant enough to his face but they probably still held Beckett in high regard, he had afterall brought them onto this boat. Thing was were they loyal to him?. Was he being stupid?. Maybe he had to just wait it out for them to trust him, it wasn't something that happened automatically.
Only time would tell.
They were St. Albans bound, it would be the first time he was returning home in years. And with good reason, his sister Rachel was getting married. James was especially close to Rachel, she was the youngest of the clan of seven, at twenty-one she was only the second to be getting married. That was something to look forward to. He needed a break from the worries of being Captain of a ship where he didn't know where he stood.
The crew had been in port on Persephone since James had won the ship. So the weeks travel to St. Albans would allow him to interact with his crew. They had all gone off world while they had been on Persephone. This was the first time they were all back on the ship.
