Just another day's work for the crew of the Lenore.[continued from Stay Invisible] The ship's mechanic re-entered the cargo hold by way of the gangplank only a few minutes after she had gloomily left it. They were parked on Persephone, and it seemed Ari had already found a potential hire, passenger, or hook to a job. A man was with her, large as she was small, brooding as she was [currently] bubbly. She had a bag heaved over one shoulder, her uninjured one, and was chatting away busily as if they were old friends. "Like I was sayin', I bought 'er as a pile of scraps an' me an' my friend Torren fixed her up. She's a bit worn, but I like a ship ta have character." Ari thumped him playfully in one arm. She was obviously excited to have him here, whoever he was. Leading him to the galley, Ari called out as she walked, "Honeyyyyy, I'm home!"

Kazimir, a bag in each hand, peered around the cargo bay. He took in heavy breaths, knowing eventually he'd be sitting down... telling Ari everything. Maybe he'd get lucky, maybe they had need for his services. Or hell maybe he could get cheap fair for a few trips. At the very thought he began mentally counting what bit of money he had. It was an odd site, seeing the big man counting quietly to himself. He listened intently as Ari spoke, nodding to himself. He thought it was a lovely machine, much nicer than the last.
"She's got character, I like that." He said quietly, moreso to himself than to her. His mind was still wandering on his money as well as looking about for other faces. He wasn't eager to meet new people, but he couldn't help but feel he didn't look presentable for company. He had intentionally made himself look rough around the edges wearing a black muscle shirt, an old army jacket; a brown one he'd acquired from a man passed on, and a pair of worn jeans. Of course he was sure that if it were a bother to Ari would have mentioned it... right?
Regardless, he felt awkward. Still his worn boots clomped around as he ducked through doorways, following the little blond like a lost dog.

The business woman had been in her shuttle-- or office as that's what it looked like, now-- propped up on her bunk, bare feet crossed at the ankles as she enjoyed a book. A proper paper one, too. Words didn't scroll up or down it. Just good, solid and old-fashioned. Wasn't a bad story. Rather exciting. Full of gunfights, lies, a bit of romance, robots and aliens. She had to laugh a little to herself at the thought. Did they really think life off of Earth-That-Was would be this thrilling and interesting? Full of aliens and human experiments? Uh... well... Maybe half right on that one? Anyway, just as she was getting to a good part-- the two main characters close to some kind of intimate revelation. Lots of juicy drama, you know? That was about when she heard the distant cry of a short, yet very loud, Ms Ari Deschain.
Jove blinked a few times, reread the same sentence twice, before she shut the book, sliding a marker into it, and just had to investigate what the distant call had been about. It was probably nothing, or it was her usual dose of semi-soberness that happened from time to time when Ari would wander off into the docks alone. It left Jove on a very empty ship with a very quiet and closed-off Captain. An odd man Jove still wasn't sure about.
Boots on, suspenders hanging at her hips, the underdressed businesswoman clopped from the shuttle bay towards the galley. Her head popped around the doorway, curled locks loosely tied back and getting in the way.
"Whu's 'appenin'?" She asked mildly, then was quickly stopped in her tracks by the sight of a stranger on the ship, being led by the mechanic.
Jove's head tilted to one side, those missmatched green and blue eyes immediately giving him the once-over. The man was... huge. A brick wall! Sure, a little scruffy... but who didn't like a little scruff these days? Unconsciously, Jove had brushed her hair back into some order and straightened her shirt before turning the corner fully. Stepping into the galley, she'd join the two. Her eyes aimed at the tower of a man whilst asking Deschain with a smirk, "An' who's your... friend?"

"Hopefully someone coming with bags of money to pay us!"
The Captain grinned pleasantly, stepping out from behind Jove confidently. He looked like he was favoring one of his shoulders, but overall he looked happy and only slightly distracted, jiggling one of his fingers in his own ear as he tilted his head downwards a bit, looking over the pair of them.
"You sure are a big fella, aren't ya? So what do you do for a livin'? Move cargo? Box? Oh! How rude of me, I'm Grimm, I'm the Captain of this ship. Sorry for all that buzzing, I've been trying to get rid of that noise for weeks."
There was no buzzing, of course. Most simply ignored the Captain when he complained about the noise. He looked over to Ari and smiled to her simply, pointing his head over to Kazimir as he teased,
"I leave you alone in town for a couple of hours, and you come back with a man on your arm?"

The mechanic gave Kaz a sunny, genuine grin as he said he liked the ship. This was her baby, her pride and joy. Everything she had was in the Lenore. He shouldn't feel so awkward; if he saw what she looked like most of the time on this ship, he'd probably realize he was dressed up in comparison.
Once in the galley, she set his bag down on the table and moved to the kitchen area. She drew them a couple of glasses of water and brought them back. "Expect when it's later we can pull out the stronger stuff, yeah?" she asked with a wink. Seating herself, she propped one of her boots up on the chair next to her and was just taking a sip of her water when Jove peeked round the corner. The way the other woman's hands moved to straighten her appearance was not lost on the mechanic, and Ari glanced mildly at Kaz. Sure, he was attractive. She'd not really noticed. Ari's attention was drawn to heart and to grit; sometimes looks were thrown to the wayside.
Her assessment of the man was done quickly and discreetly over the rim of her glass, and by the time she'd set it down, her gaze was back on Jove. She grinned with a shrug. "This 'ere-" she was interrupted by the captain. Immediately her boot went to the floor and she straightened up a little. Some things never changed, and she was still his soldier at times.
"Actually, he's a ruttin' good doctor. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for this guy, ain't that right Kaz?" When he teased her about coming back with a man, she blushed very, very slightly along the cheekbones, but kept up her easy-going attitude as if he hadn't fazed her in the least. "You gettin' jealous, Grimm? Or maybe you're jus' mad it's a man this time."
"I leave you alone in town for a couple of hours, and you come back with a man on your arm?"
