March 7th 2523; Trinity, Osiris
The ship had finally landed and the crew had off loaded to goods on Osiris. It was a simple job and there was only a small pay check to it. No illegal cargo was delivered not fight had insued nothing had happened. the Crew had now bee on Osiris for six days loooking for something for work. They needed to find something soon if they were to get a job here. Sidney had decided he wasn't going to waste any more time on this useless planet then he already had and job or not they were leaving tomorrow.
The core was the last place he wanted to be yet it seemed they had been spending alot of time over all in the area lately. sure they were out at New Cannon not long before but even that started them out in the core to begin with too. "One more day Roger and we are out of here. Any luck finding something for us to be doing?" Sidny said to roger as he walked toward the back of the cargo bay. He was getting ready to head back out off the ship to see if he could find anything for them from here. "Tari, you know Osiris don't ya how is it we aren't having any luck on this gor'ram rock?"

"Sadly I don't have all too many connections in the Core being a Browncoat and all." Roger jokingly replied. "There is this one guy, a Duke Rider, with work but I figured we can pass on that one." There was actually plenty of work in the Core just not much of the kind that the Trinity did and there was even less available to Browncoats operating out of this hub of Alliance control. To make things worse, Roger wasn't exactly the best at finding work to begin with. He was more 'diplomatic' and outgoing than Sidney but he still wasn't the smooth talking type nor was he willing to jump through all the hoops that some required before offering work. He was a gunhand and not some 'typical' civilian worker for just that reason.
Tari was the better choice. She was wasn't aligned during the war and she likely knew a few people that could get them something no matter how small. Even if she had no contacts on Osiris she would be the best choice to talk up some stranger in the hopes of finding employment.

Kalli joined the other two as they talked about how to fin d work out here. Kalli was well versed in the core she had spent most of her adult life here. Not that that was long but having been raise in an alliance family she had her knowledge of it all. "You know Sid I might be able to help with finding something here. I'm a little less.. we less you and more able to talk to people you know."
She wasn't trying to be insulting but Sid, well not only did he lack a way with words but people much more likely to talk to a young woman then then they were a grizzly old war vet. It wasn't hard to tell him or Roger were independents after all and this was the kind of place that something like that would be looked down on. "Bet ya I could find something by the end of the cay if we were willing to take what we can get." They would have to accept something if they got it though the kind of work you found here wasn't the ships normal thing and that would have to be accepted.

There was almost a smile on Sidneys face at Roger's comment, almost. it was of course probibly true that there was some work to be offered by him but at this point Sidney felt it best to keep his distance from the man. He would only want to exact his revenge on him and odds were that wouldn't happen the man had money and that ment security beyond what they could handle. "probably best we do pass that one over this time."
When Kalli chimed in on what she thought Sidney wanted to disagree he took a step toward her planning to tell her no but only knew that would push her to do it more. She had stopped looking at herself as a child like she had when they were on the Orlando and now thought of herself as a full member of the crew. Sidney had to start accepting that. "If you really think you can pull that off I won't contest you on it the. See what you can bring back" He said with a bit of a sigh. His hand went to rest on the butt of his gun at his hip where it was most of the time. "Take someone with ya wil ya?"

Tristram was on the catwalk when he heard Sid tell Kalli to take someone with her to look for a job. "I'll go!" It would be a great opportunity to get away from the ship for a while, as well as spend some "quality time" with Kalli. OOC// yeah, it's short, but I wanted to get that in there lol Outfit

It was good to see Kalli stepping up with her more unique background. It had been welcome back when the Alliance boarded them over Persephone and it could certainly help them out now. Tris' volunteering was however not welcome, at least it wasn't going to fly with the captain. The two of them out on a Core world was certainly worse than them watching the sunset on the Trinity's ramp. To Roger it was also a serious threat to their nonexistent mission. Harmless as the flirtation might be the two of them would still get distracted and in any business meeting they'd look more like a young couple than a serious business opportunity. Besides, Tristram was still a green member of their crew and they had no idea how he'd handle himself, certainly not on a Core world.
"Maybe I should I go, captain." Roger suggested immediately after Tris. He coughed and then spoke in an adjusted accent, "I was born on Londinium and I certainly got an earful of the dialect growing up." Not only could Roger try to blend in but he also spoke with the authority of the ship as first mate rather than newly acquired gun-hand.

Kalli didn't listen to what Roger had to say or even wait for Sidney to make a responce. No she was quick to make up her mind when Trist answered. She walked up thte stairs to where Trist was and grabbed his arm interlocking hers in to his as she pulled him down the stairs with me. "Trist and I can handle it. This is the core and even if you were from here Roger you scream browncoat. It would be more likely someone will trust the two of us on this one."
Part of that was true and part of it was that she would just rather it be Trist that she got to spend a bit of time with. It was nice having someone her own age on the ship and well Sidney had pretty much kept the two of them busy so they wouldn't be around each other. He wasn't the best at hiding his intentions in those sort of situations. "Keep the ship warmed up and ready for us we will be back with work in no time." She yelled out as the tow of them got down on to the main floor of the cargo bay.

The previous weeks had been pretty uneventful, which was ok with Tari. She was still not fully recovered from her injuries, but it was getting closer she could almost taste it. Even after that though it would take time for her to be her full self again. The Trinity had landed on Osiris six days ago to drop off goods for a job, Tari had made it a point not to leave the ship unless she had no choice. It had been a fairly easy feat to complete considering her state. The last thing the thief needed was to be recognized and arrested on this forsaken rock.
She had been walking behind Sidney and Roger, listening quietly. A grin crossed her lips at the mention of her knowing Osiris. Before Tari could respond though, Kalli approached so she let the mechanic have her say in things. Which apparently included being accompanied by Tristram, being the daughter of a former military man probably would help Kalli out some. If she told people that fact anyway, in any event she at least should know the workings of the Alliance's favorite core worlds.
Once the two departed the ship Tari decided to speak up even though it was a short while ago that she had been questioned. "I was stuck on this rock yeah Sid, but I in no way enjoyed my time here other than the profits. There's little in the way of my kind of contacts around, even I had a couple of close calls before I got a ride with you guys." She sighed softly at the thought, she'd thankfully never gotten caught before. If it was going to happen though Tari expected it to be on a core world like this. "If you want something over on Persephone though, I could ask around and see what's available. I've got some decent contacts over there, or Paquin if that's more your preference because of the alliance cruiser." The Esteem's presence over Persephone was most likely putting a large damper on many people's business. Especially those who aren't exactly on the legal side of things, like her friend Jack Briggs. A pang of worry hit her as she thought about his situation on that planet. Not only the Alliance to worry about, but Minvera Colt as well. Perhaps Jack should find a new planet for his business.
