He stood as Roger spoke. These two seemed like decent folk, but they were dreadfully serious. The only hint of humor he had seen was that slight smile Roger let slip when he tossed his flask. Other than that, they were a bit on the solemn side. It looked like this would be a dull ride. Oh well, work is work.
"So even though ya leave me behind you still got someone huh Sid, guess you been practicing."
Tristram had expected there to be others on the ship. However, the voice surprised him. It sounded young, and feminine. Young and feminine! He turned to see an attractive young woman in a sling on the catwalk.
"He's a handsome one though, I applaud ya. So..do we get to keep him?"
He smiled as the girl winked at him. Maybe this trip wouldn't be as dull as he thought. "If they hire me, you can keep me as long as you like."

It seemed as though this deal was pretty much wrapped up to Sidney. Tristram seemed a decent choice for his skill. He was still young and need to get some experiance under his belt but that was something him and Roger would easily be able to get him. Now it was a matter of finding a bit of work and getting the Trinity back in the skies once more.
They had been payed well by the Duke. It had paied for all the repairs they needed, even though there would be plenty more to come. It had also given each member of the crew a bit to work with. Sidney had split it all up with everyone, even taking a cut for James. He had turned over James' and his cut to the Clark family. He personally didn't have much need for the money. Now they were free to drift as they wanted for a while.
Before Sidney could speak up and confirm that he was going to offer Tristram the job Tari managed to walk in and make note of the new hire. "This ain't no pleasure cruise, were here to work. That goes for both of you." He replied to her comment about keeping him. They were going to take him on but that ment nothing as far as keeping him as crew. He would have to prove himself. "But yes he is hired on to the crew and will be with us as long as he can pull his weight or he decides to leave"
Sidney walked over and reached out his hand to the man. "Welcome to the Trinity, Tristram. We'll be heading out tomorrow morning so I would suggest you sober up and get any personal effects you have on board." Sidney was always straight forward about things, almost to a fault. As soon as Tristram had shook his hand back Sidney began to walk off heading up the stairs on to the catwalk. "Didn't think I could handle it myself huh Tari?" He said to her with a bit of a smirk. He was glad to see she was begining to feel more at home again here on the Trinity, he also noticed that she was wearing the necklace. It made a smile cross his face as he leaned back against the rail want watched to see how everyone reacted to the new crew member.

It was amazing sometimes how sound could carry when the ship was quiet. Meilin was in the galley, putting away the spoils of the day. Plenty of goods to keep the crew fed and happy until the next payday. She'd even gotten a few specialty items and still had money left over in the food allowance. Not to mention the day had kept her busy, which was a very good thing right now with emotions running so high. She could hear voices faintly, from the direction of the cargo bay, and paused her organization to go investigate. The voices belonged to Tari, Sid, Roger, and some new fella. Meilin looked him over carefully for a moment before deciding that he was definitely drunk. "Well now, who is this?" He was young, but that didn't mean anything really for a gun hand. Skills were skills. Meilin would wait until he was sober to decide what she thought of him. "Is anyone hungry or did y'all take a chance to go cheat on your cook?"Clothing

Tari laughed at the new guy's words, "Sounds like a good deal to me. I'm Tari by the way." Then Sidney spoke up, she made a pouty face at his mention of work. Of course she wasn't serious, she was well aware that there was work. Always seemed to be, at least she was exempt from some of that work. Being that she was only semi-useful at the moment and all.
A grin crossed her lips as Sid came closer to her up on the catwalk, "Well I thought it was my job to make sure you didn't get us shot at, you go off and leave me. I can't promise there won't be bullets now can I." Tari sort of pushed him playfully with her words, "You seem to have come out unscathed this time though." You would think a girl like her would be best friends with all of the other girls on the ship, but no, she felt closest to Sid. While she considered them all to be sort of friends and family, he was the one who made the most impact on the thief.
It wasn't long before the Trinity's resident chef joined them overlooking the cargo bay on the catwalk. Tari smiled at her approach, "That there is our newest worker, Tristram. An' I for one would never dream of such treachery Meilin. I'm starved."

The rest of the crew began to assemble once the trio had arrived and Sidney indirectly finalized the hiring of the new man after a bit of sternness cracked down on the joking and flirtatiousness.
"Very hungry, Meilin." Roger replied to the cook's question. "Even if anyone was of a mind to betray their cook I doubt they'd do it on Hera of all places."
All was going fairly well and soon Trinity would be ready to fly again. They were nearly stocked on supplies, the ship was mostly repaired, they had some new blood, and they'd finished their loose ends with James. The sooner they left Hera and got back in the black the better.

The Trinity had been on Hera for a few days now, and they had kept busy the whole time. Today Sidney had been out looking for other crew. Kalli, she had been out getting more parts for the Trinity. The ship had been fixed well enough to fly but it was still far from being in good condition like Art had normally kept it. Kalli had spent the day out getting parts from all the local placed. Serenity View was a small place and it was hard to find a place for all the thing they needed. After a long day of it she pulled back up in to the cargo bay on the mule. She smiled when she saw the rest of the crew in there. She hadn't heard anything thay had said over the noise of the mule when she pulled up. "Hey everyone, how's it going, and whos the new fella?" She smiled at the new guy and hoped off the mule. "I think I found everything we need Sid." She was feeling a lot better after the funeral, she was sad but at least he was given a proper burial. That and she had kept herself busy so far today. She would just have to keep busy for a while to keep the good mood going. ----------------------- Outfit

Tristram's grin widened at Sidney's "reprimand". "As long as I don't have to pull your weight too, big guy." He laughed as he shot a wink at Tari. "I hope she still looks this good when I'm sober." He swayed a bit as another attractive woman entered the cargo bay. He was able to gather that she was the resident cook. From the way the crew discussed her cooking, it sounded like she had some talent. He waved, looking forward to something other than the local slop. As the crew began to talk amongst themselves, they were interrupted by yet another pretty girl riding in on a mule.
"Hey everyone, how's it going, and whos the new fella?"
"Three incredibly attractive women on one boat? I'm gonna like it here. The new girl dismounted the mule and began speaking to Sidney.
"I think I found everything we need Sid."
Tristram swayed over to her and gingerly took her hand. "I'm Tristram, and it is a pleasure to meet you." He punctuated the sentence with a light kiss. "Well, it looks like I need to go get packed, so I'll take my leave now. I'll see you all in about an hour. Leave the lights on for me." With that, he walked down the ramp and disappeared from sight.

"Well, if you're quick about it there will be dinner left for ya." Meilin nodded at Tristram. If you're not too drunk to find your way back. She added to herself. "Anyway. The rest of ya get yourselves cleaned up. Dinner's in half an hour." Meilin nodded and hurried back to the kitchen. Dinner wouldn't take long to make, but she still had to put everything away.
