Cadan listened as everyone exchanged words with each other. Cadan on the other hand continued down the hallway to the man at the desk. When he got close he shook the man's shoulder before he noticed that he had been shot and was now dead.
The sight of the dead body up close like that got him to stumble back just a little. Things had gone very bad here. He turned and walked back to the group. He was ready to leave this place as well. The newcommer and Killian were talking about getting out of the place. Mention of transport was made and a need for someone to be able to drive a transport. "Ya got summit that Hive, fly or aahhht else and I can 'ol biggles it. let's get these people loaded up."

Three large trucks pulled up to the front of the facility loaded with people. THe trucks stopped by the three mules and began to off load. The people inside might hear the faint sound of the engines running as the vehicles pulled up. One by one people off loaded from the trucks there were nearly two dozen men on the ground.
"I want everthing in the stripped the rest of the way, and it seems recue crews have shown up. No survivers understoond." One of men called out the the rest. The men began by maling their way around the out side of the perimiter. they didn't seem in a hurry though out in the jungle there wasn't much of a need to hurry. Everyone who was inside was trapped with only one way out of the fence and they had already blocked that off.

Gabriel had a good idea, if they culd get the ther vehicle up and running they should be able to truck everyone out in one easy run. "Alastair I need you to go find that vehicle and get it ready to go. Take Cadan with you so he can drive it. We'll start gathering up everyone else and have them ready to go."
Killian and the rest would be able to tend to the wounded and have them ready from transport. "Layla do you know how to drive one of the Mules?" If she could handle the mule then her Hoffman and Killian would be able to drive the others.
KIllian walked in to the room. "Let's get these people ready to go." Killian hadn't heard the vehicles outside pull up but surely Cadan and Alastair would hear them soon.

Alastair was on board with the idea of getting more ways to get out of there and with Killian's orders to get the landspeeder he was ready to roll. "not a problem cap'n we'll get right on it.
Alastair drew his gun, he wasn't going to wonder around this place with out it out. Things could get rough again really quick if they didn't keep their eyes pealed. "Comin Cadan?" He said as he walked back out the door they had come in the fog was still covering the place and it was hard to see much of anything. They began to walk down the path to where the vehicle shoud be.
(OOC: Going to move to a new thread for me and Cadan)

Gabriel lugged a stretcher over to one of the injured men and gently slid it up under him. One of the other survivors grabbed the other end as the Captain ordered two of his men to check out back for the landspeeder. They gently began to move the patient out towards the front of the building where the Mules were waiting.
Later, Gabriel would be haunted by how easily it could have been him. It was complete luck he was at the helm of the stretcher and that the other survivor had grabbed the feet. As they moved through the main doorway to the courtyard, the other man went first, his backed turned as he navigated the stretcher through the door frame.
Looking up just in time to see the scene play out before him, Gabriel gasped and opened his mouth to yell out but the sound never had a chance to escape. A hail of bullets smashed through the doorway, riddling the other transporter. The second he was hit, Gabriel knew there was no hope for the other man; he was dead before he hit the floor. As his grip on the stretcher was released, Gabriel grabbed the injured man on the stretcher and fell down to the floor to keep the patient from falling out into the open. The quick movement saved his life, as bullets crashed into the spot where his head had just been.
Looping an arm across the injured patient's chest, Gabriel half stumbled, half crawled back to the side hallway, yelling at the top of his lungs. "We've got company. They're back." He dragged himself back into the room, hoisting the patient back up onto a table.
Placing his stethoscope to the man's chest, Gabriel swore. It was as he had feared. The man was going into shock, from lack of blood and the rough treatment Gabriel had used to drag him to safety. Readying an adrenaline shot from his bag, he mouthed a short prayer. "Don't you dare die on me," he pleaded, shoving the needle into his chest.

Layla had stayed mostly quiet after the initial introductions, sticking as close to Cadan as she could. The situation they were walking into seemed off, she kept a hand on her gun as they went. Hoping she wouldn't need to use it.
She listened as everyone talked, not liking the sound of any of it. They had just recently left a situation where all hell had broken lose, here they were potentially getting into another one. Worry streaked across her face. Layla moved forward to catch up with where Cadan was now, taking hold of his hand and squeezing it. Refusing to let go for the time being.
It was clear that she wasn't going to be able to stick with Cadan through the entire situation. When Killian addressed her, she felt horrible, shaking her head slightly with a sad look on her face she replied softly. "I'm sorry...I don't.."
At the yelling coming from the doc Layla's attentions shifted, immediately pulling her pistols from their holsters. It wasn't even a conscious decision, just a reaction to yet another bad situation in front of her.

Their extraction plan was already in motion and if all went according to plan they would be out of there in a matter of minutes. Unfortunately they didn't even have that much time. The first stretcher team to reach the exit of the building ran into a firing squad.
"Achtung! Pass auf!"
Friedrich rushed forward toward the doctor and the patient he was dragging back out of the main hallway. Instead of tending to them, however, the mechanic took a position on the corner of the intersecting corridors and trained his weapon on the entrance ready to drop anyone coming in to finish them off. If he got lucky he might be able to wait for two or three to get in before popping out to take out a few in one go and make the rest think twice about coming in at all.

Amaya had made her way over to the prisoner, the cartel memeber who was in there with them. She figured this would be her chance to see what he knew. She pulled her gun and kept it in hand as she kneed dow to talk to him. "Tell me, who is it that you wrok for." The man didn't respond, she was more then willing to make things bit painful for him something she had leadered from a man that saved her life more then once. all people will take it is just a matter of how well you convince them.
Before she had a chance to go on she could hear gunfire from outside. She stood up in a bolt as she heard the medic yyelling down the hall. She ran out of the room and down the hall Friedrich had already taken position at the intersecting hallway.
Though Amaya wasn't an expert fighter in anyway she could more then manage backing him up. She took the other side of the intersection. "I'll follow your lead Friedrich." She told him as she charged her weapon to load a round.

As soon as shots were fired the team moved in to action. It was time for them to find a way to get out of there nd fast. Killian assisted the medic in brining the injured person back inside. As soon as he had he went in to the back room where the dead man was at the deak. The others could hold the door for now. He was going to find a different egress point for them.
There were several windos out the back. He pushed the dead body from the chair and through the chair at the window cracking it the first time then throwing it again and shattering it. He pulled his jacket off and wrapped it around his hand. Using the now padded hand he cleared the windo of glass and called on the radio to Alastair. "Mr. Quinn can you guys get that vehicle around to the back of the building. were coming out through the window."
(OOC:For those who head out the window post that in the: New Wheels and Gunshots thread. This one will continue with those staying inside for a bit longer)

Alastair quickly hopped from the speeder back through the window. If Killian was right, and by the way things were going it seemed he was, that this was the cartel then he would be able to maybe save them from an unfortunate end. He had worked with many of the cartels on this planet before running their stolen goods from place to place.
He yelled over to the medic. "You said we had one of the cartel members in the place. Let me talk to him you help get the rest out the back window." He raced down the hallway and in to the room where the survivers were at. The others were holding off the door waiting for the cartel to come in.
He saw the person who looked to be the cartel memeber and ran up to him. "Tell me wh you work for" He said as he grabbed the mans shirt. He got no reply at all. "You want to die in here, I sure as hell don't and we both know they aren't going to stop and save you. Your no good to them now, unless you can give them something that makes you worth it."
The man continued to hesitate for a moment before finally speaking up. "Fine, yeah. I work for a man named Jamison." Alastair quickly perked up, he knew the name, he had even met the man once, a mean son of a bitch but he might be able to work something out.
He yanked the man to his feet and started to pull him out toward the front door. "Look start getting everyone out the back were going to go have a chat with this guys boss. I might be able to get us out of this and if I don't I can buy some time."
When they passed by Amaya and Friedrich he pulled his gun. "Take this I'm your prisoner, get me to your boss" He said as he handed the gun to the man. A risk for sure but if he tried anything while they were still inside then he would be shot by the others. "Now get us out there." Alastair stpped infront of the man pullng the guys hand up to point the gun at Alastairs head, and then they walked out the front of the building. With a bit of luck there were no shots fired at at them and hopefully soon he would be there with the cartel.

The adrenaline shot through his patient and the man jerked up off the table, beginning to shake. Gabriel did his best to keep the man still until the spell passed. Rummaging through the man's pocket's Gabriel triumphantly pulled out an ident card. He scanned down the information until he came to the man's blood type and sighed in relief. It was a match with his own. He grabbed one of the workers who were cowering behind makeshift barricades, "This man needs a blood transfusion, help me set up the supplies," he instructed. Scrambling around and opening various packages and cases from his bag, they put together the supplies to begin the transfusion.
A couple members of the crew asked to interrogate the captured cartel member. Gabriel waved them over absently, "Try not to hurt him too bad, I've already patched him up once today." Just as he inserted an IV into his arm, he saw the first mate give the man a gun and go out as his fake prisoner. What is he doing? Gabriel didn't understand the man's plan, not seeing how it could lead to anything but their former prisoner blowing the man's brains out. "No offense captain, but your man doesn't seem to be gifted with great intelligence," He yelled over the gunfire.
Hearing that Layla could take some people through the window, Gabriel motioned for his helper and the rest of the survivors to flee while they still had the chance. "Go! I can take care of him until we find another way out."

Friedrich was joined in the defense by Amaya and Layla both taking position to support him on point. Meanwhile the doctor tended to his patients and the captain continued to work to arrange transport. The mechanic kept his weapon trained on the entrance still waiting for the inevitable push from the enemy but from the sounds outside apparently they were distracted and focused on their crewmates who were retrieving transport.
Alastair's next actions however caught him completely by surprise. Not only did he bring their prisoner forward but then he armed him and exited the building with the man. Friedrich couldn't even comprehend it enough to form words to protest. Maybe he was trying to negotiate, reckless and foolish but still within the realm of Friedrich's understanding. But now he was going out there unarmed and gave up the leverage he had that would give him the chance to talk. The captain had already mentioned how these cartels were never in the mood to talk nor to spare lives. This was almost certainly a suicide mission trying to buy more time. Friedrich never expected to see Alastair alive again.
Heroic self sacrifice or recklessly stupid plan gone wrong, they still needed someone to watch the door while the others were loaded up. Friedrich would stay as rearguard until the last of the wounded were safely aboard whatever vehicle Cadan had requisitioned.

Amaya was relieved to hear the captain decide they were going to shuffle out the back window. She wasn't looking forward tothe idea that they were going to be fighting one of the cartels. More importantly she wasn't really ready for a fight, she had only brought a small weapon and only six rounds. That was not going to last long.
Amaya was shocked to see Alastairs reaction to it all. She wanted to stop him from going but she couldn't manage to get heself to say anything. He walked out with the prisoner apperently in some attempt to stop the fighting from happening.
I took her a moment but she decided she wasn't going to wait to see if things worked out of Alastair or not. She ran in to the room where the injured were at and helped one of them to ther feet. "Come on we're getting you out of here." She said as she helped them to the window and had them climb out to Cadan and Layla.

Sidney joined Amaya in getting the other injured people out of the place. He helped the sucurity guard up and walked him to the back of the building, having him lean against the desk till Amaya could get him out the window.
The cartel had yet to send anyone in side, it seemed that Alastair was already buying them a few second and he hadn't heard any gunshots as of yet.
Killian made several trips back and forht getting more of the injured from the room to the back to be loaded up. The speeder would only hold so many be they were going to pack it full of the injured people and they would catch the next rip out from there.
Keep an eye out for Mr. Quinn coming back in before anyone takes a shot." He yelled out, mainly to advise Friedrich he was expecting him to make it back some how. He hadn't known Alastair long, infact other then Amaya he hadn't known any of the people on the crew long.

Several minutes had passed since Alastair had left the building. Now he was walking back in the building with Jamison, the Cartel member. "Don't shot, don't shot." He said as he entered the building. He walked in to where Freidrich was at and stop. "Killian we got ourselves a way out. It's jus going to take a bit of work to make it happen."
He walked in the rest of the way to where Killian was. THey had moved out several of the injured out. It was probibly best that they had been doing this. The deal was for their lives but that didn't mena they weren't gonig to hold a few hostages for the time being. Mr. Jamison here is willing to work with us on some sort of deal to work this out."
