The kiss ended and Dru really didn't know what to say or what to think. Not yet. She just stared back at Jordan. A swirl of emotions and thoughts running through her mind. This was all manner of uncharted territory for her and yet Dru felt ok about it.
Reality clicked back in when she heard her name, her gaze re-focused on the mechanic sitting close to her. It was obvious though that Jordan was wanting a reaction of some sort from her. "Well that was certainly unexpected." A mischievous grin crossed the mercenary's lips with her words. Dru let her fingers intertwine loosely with Jordan's.

Jordan reached up and touched her lips with her finger tips. "Dru..." She wasn't sure what else to say, she had to take a moment to figure out the right thing. She really didn't knot what it was however.
"I couldn't explain it any better." She said blushing as her finger tips ran down Dru's cheek and rested back against her hands. They seemed both lost to her. In a new world where things didn't make sense. This was the first time she felt both lost, and happy about being so.
She paused to figure out what to say, but found herself kissing Dru a second time before and words came to mind. "I guess I should feel pretty good about surprising you."

Dru smiled at Jordan while she seemed to try and gather herself. Then a second kiss, it was to be expected she mused. With the sudden hugs that the mechanic tended to be giving her as of late. Another kiss ended, "You should, it's a rare occurrence. I'm usually the one surprising people." Though those people didn't get to live long past that point.
In a rash decision Dru reached out placing a hand against Jordan's cheek again, entangling her fingers a bit in her hair - then gave the woman a kiss. Holding her in the embrace for a few moments, silently afraid. Dru would never admit it though.
Pulling back only slightly, keeping their foreheads pressed against one another Dru smiled. Her voice was soft, very much a change from the normal mercenary. "You can stay with me..if it would help you sleep Jordan.." She was able to hide any sign of worry in her tone, but there was an awkwardness there. Given the situation it should be expected.

Jordan looked into Dru's eyes and smiled, when she brought up staying she didn't know what to say. She wanted to stay, but was it the right thing to do? Sleep with her in the bed room, share a bed with her even? She wasn't sure. Several things went though her mind, if she stayed what would happen?
A cuddle, that was all that was going to happen, she promised herself, after all they seemed to both not know what to do about this situation. They were both on uneven ground trying to make a stand, it was going to be interesting to see how everything went.
'What about tomorrow?' she asked herself. However, her eyes came to focus and she looked back into Dru's and decided she didn't care about tomorrow, what mattered was today, this moment.
"I would like to stay." Her voice was trembling almost as much as her hands. Jordan was always known to be an open book, she couldn't hide excitement or worries very well, and in this case, her intense nervousness.

Drusilla had no idea how exactly to handle the situation with Jordan, both of them would have to just wing it in a way. She assumed it was foreign to the mechanic as well. Normally Dru didn't take into account anyone's thoughts or feelings about things. She felt as though she was going to need to walk on eggshells with Jordan though, at least for now. This was delicate and as fragile as the connection with the entire crew, one wrong word or action to Jordan could cause this to come crashing down. The mercenary was willing to do this though, go out of character and be careful.
She smiled softly at Jordan wanting to stay, "Okay." It was all she could say, what else was there to say? Dru certainly had no idea. She moved over a little bit more, making sure Jordan had enough room and pulled back the blankets for her.

[Jumping to morning to lead into my other thread with Lars!]
Dru woke up carefully, making sure not to disturb Jordan. It was early and the mechanic hadn't been sleeping well anyway. She would let her sleep as long as she could. Dru always woke up early though, no matter what time she actually went to sleep. This morning though she was going to be running into town, picking up some last minute things before the ship left. Then Dru needed to meet with Lars, get the "first-mate" situation taken care of. One less situation on the mercenary's plate.
