Approaching the passenger rooms, Lars paused, his resolve faltering momentarily. From what he remembered of Dru, she was not the kind to take to being disturbed. But, he reasoned, this was his ship, and she was on his ship. He walked up to the door and knocked. "Dru, open up it's the captain, we need to talk." As he waited for her to open the door, he thought about what he was going to say. The last time he had seen her, she had been a solemn, rough around the edges type. His small encounter with her to day showed her to not have changed much. He had a moment of regret for taking her on board, but he shook it off. He couldn't have lived with himself if he had left her on Osiris. Well, he thought, what is the worst that could happen?

Dru hadn't done much since getting to her room. She did feel the ship take off, glad to be getting off of Osiris. While she had no qualms with the Alliance their core planets weren't the best for folks like her. Perhaps she should have chosen a different ship though, this one held memories that now she'd wish to forget.
She was startled just a tad as there was knocking at her door. Dru rolled her eyes as Lars called himself the captain. Right, captain..whatever. 'We need to talk' never seemed to be a good beginning to a conversation, if he was going to tell her he didn't want her on the ship he had poor timing.
Picking herself up from the bed she made her way to answer Lars, opening the door she leaned against it's frame. "Yes Lars?"

Lars didn't miss a beat at her lack of respect, it was not like she was ever going to see him as her superior. This thought did alarm him slightly, the last thing he wanted was for her to challenge his authority in front of his new crew, but he pushed any of those thoughts away. "Can I come in?" He asked, "Or are you going to keep me out in the space rain?" He added the last part as an attempt to lighten the mood. As he stood in front of her, he couldn't help but wonder why she had left. At the time she was on the ship, he had never really gotten to know her that well, and her leaving had been a mystery. He made a mental note to ask her about that later, but not now, now he needed to focus on other things. "I hope I am not interrupting anything." He said.

Dru rolled her eyes at his attempt of humor, but gave him a slight grin just because he at least tried. She moved aside and dramatically held out her hand, "Ship is..yours." It was going to be hard for her to acknowledge that it was indeed his ship and he was the captain. She had no intention of ever calling him by that title though. Perhaps once he proved himself a good captain she'd at least show him respect that the position entitled him to. One doesn't just get that respect with a title, it's got to be earned.
"Nothing at all, what is it you want to talk to me about?" Blunt and to the point, such was Dru's preference. Casual conversation when there was a point to be made wasn't her way. There was a time and place for conversation but business was not one of those times. It was something that drove her employers to annoyance at times because they all for some reason enjoyed the small talk when all Drusilla wanted to do was get to the job and get paid.

Lars was relieved when she moved out of the way so he could enter. He had to duck his head to make it through the door. Turning to her, he paused, then began to speak. "Listen, Dru, I came to see you so I can tell you what the situation is here." He stopped trying to figure a way to say what he wanted to say. "We didn't have time to talk in the cargo bay, bit now we do, and that is what I aim to do." He gained a little confidence. "Look, I know you don't really respect me, and that is fine. Just so long as you don't try to take the ship there wont be any problems between you and me. But my crew is different. They are already new to the ship, and i just don't think it is a good idea for you to go pulling guns on them." He looked her in the eyes. "Even if you don't speak to me at all while you are on board, I want you to listen. You will not do anything to harm my crew, is that clear? If you want to fight with me, I would rather you didn't but if you want to shout or throw punches then fine, but if you touch Jordan or Trace, I will leave you on St. Albans without a backward glance, are we clear?" The intensity with which he said those words surprised him slightly. But he decided that it was for the best. If she wanted him to roll over and let her walk over him, she was out of her mind.

Dru stood there expectantly as she waited for Lars to begin. Once he began she didn't interrupt, letting him speak his peace. Which was all understandable considering how things had all started out. She heard the seriousness in his voice but pushed it aside, rolling her eyes once he was finished.
"I have no interest in taking the ship Lars, you don't have to worry about that. As far as your crew goes, they'll be fine. So long as they don't try anything on me I won't shoot them." St. Albans huh, damn cold planet. Dru found herself not looking too forward to that one. She sighed, Krey wouldn't want her to treat Lars so poorly, but she was angry at the moment and hurting. "I'm in a bit of a rough spot here Lars. In all honesty Krey was the closest thing I had to family and just like that he's gone.' Dru paused a moment before continuing, 'So what is taking you to St. Albans?"

Relieved by her fairly non antagonistic answer, Lars spoke. "Pirates," he said matter of factly. "I got word there is a ship around there doing a number on the locals. Thought I could help 'em out." He had not missed her eye roll earlier and he fully expected another one. "While we are there, I wouldn't hold it against you if you chose to stay out of it all. I wont expect you to fight if it comes to that." "I'm planning to let everyone know where we are going at dinner. Which isn't that far off, if you are interested." he said turning from her, and heading for the door. Remembering something he had meant to say, he turned again. "For what it's worth, It's good to see you again." With that, he turned and walked away. Leaving her to her thoughts, that was probably what she wanted anyway.

Drusilla grinned at the reason for their trip to St. Albans. "Hope you're getting paid for such help Lars." She was hopeful that he was doing this as a job and not just because he felt like it. Can't run a ship if you do everything for free. She scoffed at the comment about her staying out of it, "Who am I to pass up a chance to have some fun."
Lars was leaving now, she didn't reply to his parting comment. Dru wasn't sure if it was good seeing him again. Considering the circumstances and such. She could use some dinner though, but before all that started there were other things that needed to be done. Her guns could use a cleaning. The dining table would be perfect. She decided to head that way after while. For now she'd keep to herself just a little bit longer.
