At last finding his office she knocked lightly on his door. "Captain?" She asked softly, not wanting to bother him if he was indeed busy.

Hearing a knock on his door, Lars got up fro his desk and walked over to the door. Opening it, he was not surprised to find Jordan standing outside. "Well, I wasn't expecting to have this much time before you found me," He said with a laugh. She was quite the character.
"Well, come in then." He turned and walked to his desk. "How can I help you?"
Sitting down at his desk he leaned back in his chair. He was really beginning to take a liking to her, if she needed something she sure as hell was going to get it.

"You said something about a room to stay in?" She started off strong but it turned more into a question as she looked around the room. "And we will be needing a new compression coil, it's good for another month, but without it will be drifting." Her dark blue eyes didn't lock onto him after she took in everything around her, the items on the walls.

"Well, you certainly don't waste time. Here," He reached into the locker next to his desk, and pulled out what little money he had left. "I hope this is enough. Why is it always the compression coil?" He handed her the money. "As far as a room, there are crew quarters right downstairs from the common area and to the right." He stopped and thought about it. "I think the pilot chose his room already, so if you talk to him you can find an empty room."
He looked back at the locker, and closed it, feeling embarrassed.
"Anything else you need before you leave?" Lars asked, "There should be a terminal in the common area, but if not I know there is one in your room. Feel free to use either one to find that compression coil. I'm sure there is one in our price range."
Lars felt pitiful, he needed to get off this planet and get to work, tthe ship wouldn't pay for itself. He looked back at Jordan, hoping she wouldn't think too badly of his poverty.

"I'll work on the coil to get more time out of it, after your next job we'll pick one up, I'll hunt the junk yards as well, people throw away some strange things." She held a smile and placed the money on his desk and winked at him. "That's how I normally fixed the last ship, pocketed some extra money for the bigger repairs, have some faith and I'll give you the bill later."

With that she moved toward the door. "I'll see your pilot and make some dinner. See you in a couple hours Captain?"

"Yes, kitchen is in the common area."
Geeze, thought Lars as she walked out the door. She is a find. He picked the money up off his desk, he put it back in the locker.
Today had gone well so far, and now he had something to look forward to: a dinner that might actually taste like something other than cardboard.
He propped his feet up on the desk and smiled, "I hope she stays," he mused aloud. "I might get used to real food." He closed his eyes and thought about the ever looming prospect of flight.
