Jordan stared at the help wanted adds as she nervously chewed on her thumb nail. How in the world did she manage this one. She wad traveling on a small transport, they landed here to refuel. Her eyes closed, and then the Captain found a NEW mechanic. Someone cheaper she would bet, but not as good. It didn't matter however, the problem was, she was on this planet, and she wanted off, now.

Her dark blue eyes opened and her trembling hand ran through her blonde hair as she scanned the ships. Most had mechanics, most had everything besides passengers. And like most people, Jordan didn't have much money, never saw a point to keeping it around, until now.

"Gorram it.." She said then closed her mouth when her words caught the eyes of some strangers. "There has to be at least one.." Her finger ran down the list slowly. Only one came up.

Taking down the information she made her way to her private terminal and posted a wave.

Lars was brought back to the present with a lurch. His terminal had begun flashing with a message.

INCOMING WAVE:
Jordan Maxwell

Lars hurried to get himself in a more presentable state. He tried his best to get his hair to lie flat, and he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. "Gorram waves always come in the morning. Why is it always so early?" he muttered, wishing he had time to shave.

Striding over to his desk, he sat down, took a deep breath, and answered the wave. "Hello," he said, in his best captain's voice,"How can I help you?"

When her wave was answered Jordan had just finished pulling her hair into a pony tail. The long waves still laying across her shoulder. Looking up at the screen she almost blushed, she was expecting someone far older than herself to answer.

"Hello, Sir. I am looking for transport off the Rock." She paused only briefly to gather a thought. "I have no money to speak of, however, I can serve as a mechanic while in route."

Jordan's hand raised and she once again began to chew nervously on her thumb nail.

Lars was slightly startled as he looked at the face of Jordan Maxwell. She was quite attractive and, NO, he stopped himself. He needed to get off this rock and the girl said she was a mechanic. This was no place for silly emotions.
"Miss... Maxwell is it?" He asked, "You say you are a mechanic right? Well, I can definitely use a mechanic, and as for fee, well If you can Keep my ship flying, you dont have to pay a cent. Hell, we might even work out a way to get you some coin."

As he sat back and waited for her to reply, he couldn't help but feel sorry for her. She seemed like a nice enough girl, he couldn't understand why nobody would hire her. She said she only wanted passage off the rock, but Lars hoped that he could change that. If she was a mechanic, he didn't want to have her leave as soon as they got to the next planet and leave him stranded again. But, it wasn't like he was just going to leave her here. The least he could do was help her out of a bind. Besides, maybe the ship would catch her fancy, that's what happened to him.

Jordan nodded in understanding and looked from the screen to her tool bag. "Very well then Captain."

She looked back to the screen. She couldn't figure out how feel about the situation. She was more than a little land crazy and work was not jumping out to meet her, she was even a little more that worried he might be an Alliance man.

"Where is your ship? I should look her over before we take flight."

Lars smiled. "Of course, I would have been surprised if you hadn't wanted to look her over. I am docked at pad A-23, Ill see you there."
He ended the transmission and rose from his chair.
He walked over to the door and paused, she was good looking, but that was beside the point. He made his way to the cargo bay, and opened the door. He wasn't going to make that mistake twice in a row.

As he leaned against the wall of the cargo bay, he couldn't help but run hands along his ship. "It's about time we got you seen too by a decent mechanic," He said softly, "Wouldn't want you to get hurt."
