Ok so here's the idea. I've aluded to the *cough*rape*cough* that Sofia went through, more than once, which has created her fear of most guys. It's left her scard, and that's why she's out and about, floating around in a ship. Trying to get away from memories, and other things. What if the 'other things' come and find her? The client could be very rich, and have tracked her down. She wouldn't have willingly brought any trouble down on the Rayya, but of course, life doesn't work that way. Anyways, said client could try to claim her as his personal companion, for some trumped up reason. Not sure of the full details, and this was something I thought about as I went to sleep last night (Yes weird dreams ensued), and you guys can shoot me down. This of course, would happen after our current plot. And maybe, if things play out right, Roger could get to space the client. Any ideas?

I'm in.
Alright, question though for clarifications. You gave us the cliff notes of the situation and I'd like the abridged version. She got raped by this client but he's a client so what does that mean? Did he try to hire her and she said no and then "other things" happened or was she actually contracted, he ended up being a dirt bag so she tried to cancel halfway through and he wasn't going to allow any of that? ... or something else altogether.

Alright. Let's see if I can smash my brain into figureing out the details. So if i Ramble, forgive me.
I believe what happened was he was contracted with another companion, but because that companion got sick/died/something else (No i don't know just yet), Sofia had to step in. Said Companion would be a friend of Sofia. Client was angry when Sofia told him that his contracted companion could not come, but that she was willing to stand in for the companion, and things degraded from there.
OR
Sofia was hired by said Client. He seemed nice, polite, and other wise a good man. His family was well off, so on and so forth. She judged wrong (as did everyone else in the Companion house), and... of course, he wooed her, probably for a while. Trying to make her his private companion. When constantly said no, politly, and of course, he reacted badly. Very very badly. This could have happened over years for all we know. He finally was fed up with her just being his companion sometimes, and not just his personal companion, and decided for some INFERNAL reason, that raping her was the only way he was going to make sure she would be his. (Maybe he was insane... unsure), and yeah.
Two ideas. HELP, can't quite pin it down. xD

Well option one makes him sound like a complete lunatic taking out frustration on her for something way beyond her control (not that option two makes him seem sane or anything). Still, I think that complete lunatic who MUST get his way all the time no matter what would actually work. It would make him driven to catch her not because of some incredible lust or falsely imagined love but because the very idea that she could escape him is insulting. Option two seems more like the guy is less messed with in the head, and wrong as he may be you kind of feel sorry for him when he's being sucked out of the airlock because he's delusional and not just a vindictive . Years of being with a companion might make him think there is a connection there and after so much time to have it all shattered could drive a man to commit a horrible act. Then he'd pursue her because they're soul mates or something and he is blocking the memory of his misdeeds. So basically my advice on this situation is do we want the guy to be a complete lunatic who the 'verse is much better without or do we want him to just be a creep that probably deserves to be kneecapped and dumped in a desert?

that's a question for the crew. I like Idea one, but i tend to like 3d characters, which is option number two. So i'm torn. HELP CREW! XD

Well option two is less likely to end in spacing, unfortunately.

So perhaps you are basically looking for a rich, psycho stalker guy?
Here's my take (and you can discard it if'n you want)...
He contracts with her and is taken by her charm. He does the hard woo, hoping she will become his personal companion. She declines politely numerous times and even stops contracting with him because he starts to get creepy. On his half, he believes that he actually has a relationship with her, so when she "cuts him off" he gets angry.
One night he slips into her residence and waits for her to come home in order to convince her to return to him. He has completely slipped a nut and when she arrives, he is so convinced that they have a relationship that he insists that they love each other and "makes love" to her to prove it (and we all know that Sofia does not have the same reaction to his advances). Right before he drifts off to sleep after, he promises that he will never let her go. As soon as she can, she bolts.
Charges might never be leveled because it is a "he said, she said" thing and he is indeed very, very rich. So they strike a bargain. The Guild takes the steps to give him a black mark in their registry so that no other Companion will ever have that happen again and he is supposed to get severe counseling for his actions. She could also have some animosity for the Guild if she wants to for an additional drama point.
But she is still scared and after a bit she makes plans to ply her trade far, far away from him in a place he would never, ever look just in case he ever does try to. After all, the Rayya is always moving and is a a place where she could "hide" once the shuttle is docked.
He finds her later (how can be decided later) and seems quite sane. He tells her that he's gotten help and has finished his counseling as per the Guild's order. He'll apologize profusely. But then he contracts the Rayya for quite a lucritive job, so he could stay close by. During that time, his obsession would grow until it culminates in him getting spaced.
I know it is long, but could be good if you like it.

I like how that plan ends. No, but seriously I like the whole plot idea.

So basically a guy who did an insane act out of a psychological disorder that got help to ease his psychosis, who then goes to see the girl he hurt to help heal old wounds and to bring closure to his insanity only for that to become the catalyst to his recession into insanity again, which brings us to Roger spacing him. I love the psychological thriller-esque feeling to this Also, can Jin get a shot on the man before you space him? I can get Jin to shoot the man in the shoulder so he stumbles into the airlock, then Roger can say some epic one-liner "you need some space." *BOOM* or something.. XD I like it!!

"Give the girl some space!" In my last attempt to space someone the plan was to have me space them but have another crew member set them up in a similar way so I'm perfectly cool with that. It's like park-benching, a two man operation.
