Hi everyone, newbie here. I'm real excited to get things going, but I wanted to discuss a couple of the character ideas i've come up with before posting. I've been looking around the site for a while and I came up with a pilot character and actually almost completed her history, but that was before I had looked at who was active and tried sussing out what character types might be needed. It seems like there might be enough pilots at the moment, I see that most piloting positions are filled and some are being waited on, so I kinda scrapped my idea for that character. The new idea I've come up with is a bounty hunter who is alliance bred, or maybe even alliance-sanctioned. The bounty hunter would come from a higher class family, perhaps an alliance military family. That being so, her mentality and reasoning in becoming a bounty hunter would be more based around seeking justice rather than making a living, though money will always be a part of it. She wouldn't be very bloodthirsty either, opting to take bounties in alive whenever possible. I think a character like this would be versatile in where I could rp her at. She could visit alliance ships for either social calls or something work related (would be nice to have some alliance characters on the site as friends or acquaintances from the past for this) or she could show up on any independant/neutral ships as either a contact for a job or perhaps sneaking onboard for some covert/undercover reason. Also, it might take more plotting, but she could have non-alliance friends as well.
Really, i just want to play a character that fits in well with what's going on. If there's a character type that is desperately needed, i'd be open to playing something else, maybe more than one character. The bounty hunter idea is real preliminary, and that's mainly what I wanted to ask you guys about here, if something like that would fit into the current storyline.
