- Chief Brand Officer: A chief brand officer (CBO) typically reports to the CEO or board of directors and is responsible for a brand's image, experience, and promise. The brand officer oversees marketing, advertising, design, public relations and customer service.
- Chief Financial Officer: The chief financial officer (CFO) or Chief financial and operating officer (CFOO) is a corporate officer primarily responsible for managing the financial risks of the corporation. This officer is also responsible for financial planning and record-keeping, as well as financial reporting to higher management. In some sectors the CFO is also responsible for analysis of data. The title is equivalent to finance director, a common title in the United Kingdom. The CFO typically reports to the chief executive officer and to the board of directors, and may additionally sit on the board.
- Chief Legal Officer: A chief legal officer (CLO) is the highest-ranking corporate officer concerning legal affairs of a corporation or agency. Chief legal officers typically hold the title of general counsel.
Though Chief Legal officers are certified lawyers, their aptitude should not be limited to the law. In addition to a high level of legal skill, CLOs of corporations should have leadership skills. They must be able to act decisively regarding legal challenges that face a corporation, and competently advise other C level officers. They make sure all actions by the company are legal and typically report to the Board of Directors. - Chief Science Officer: Chief Science Officer (CSO) is a position at the head of scientific research operations at companies performing significant scientific research projects. The CSO typically is responsible for developing research capabilities (human, methodological, and technological), for developing evidence of the validity and utility of research products, and for communicating with the scientific and customer communities concerning capabilities and scientific product offerings.
- Chief Technology Officer: A chief technology officer (or chief technical officer; CTO) is an executive-level position in a company or other entity whose occupant is focused on scientific and technological issues within an organization. The role became prominent with the ascent of the information technology (IT) industry, but has since become prevalent in technology-based industries of all types (e.g. biotechnology, energy, etc.). As a corporate officer position, the CTO typically reports directly to the chief executive officer (CEO) and is primarily concerned with long-term and "big picture" issues (while still having deep technical knowledge of the relevant field). Depending on company structure and hierarchy, there may also be positions such as director of R&D and vice president of engineering whom the CTO interacts with or oversees.
- Chief Brand Officer: A chief brand officer (CBO) typically reports to the CEO or board of directors and is responsible for a brand's image, experience, and promise. The brand officer oversees marketing, advertising, design, public relations and customer service.
