Emily sat tapping her screen flipping through the faces of companions. She had paid her fee so she would have the ability to contract one, however she rarely did. She normally only renewed it to get a rise out of her father. Though today, today, she wanted someone to be with her. Since her boyfriend passed, she was feeling more lonely than normal. The company of a charming man would do her some good.
She flipped through several other pages of pictures before one finally caught her eye. She leaned forward and her head slipped off her hand and she actually looked at his face. He was attractive, and one of the few males she had seen on the roster. A smile crossed her lips and she tapped the screen to send him a wave.
"Hello Mr. Du'Bois. I was wondering if you would be interested in a dinner and a show." Her interest wasn't just for her own personal pleasure. She had her brother's birthday dinner to attend as well a social function that she was required to attend. She might as well bring a little fun along with her.

After the events of Old Habits Die Hard on Santo, now currently in Old Threads
Percy scrolled through the latest news 'paper', catching up on galactic events, so far there wasn't much of interest. A few notable "arrests" were made by the Alliance, continuing political strife between the various political groups, the rich got richer and the poor got taken advantage of. Some big time celebrity was making an appearance at some theatre half a galaxy away. The day to day life had gotten so tedious that even reading about it was starting to hurt, he needed something to do. He needed a job. He'd left the crew of the Iron Maiden a few weeks ago, a pleasant bunch so long as you knew how to react to them. As if on que the cortex on his screen chimed, indicating a call.
The I.D. displayed a name Emily G. Rider. Smoothing out his vest so that it looked more appropriate, he tapped the screen and accepted the call "Good day Ms. Rider. What can I do for you?"
"Hello Mr. Du'Bois. I was wondering if you would be interested in a dinner and a show."[/i] the pretty young red haired woman said, getting right to the point.
Percy smiled, this was great. He hadn't had a job as a Companion for quite some time, not that he minded most of the time. He usually had plenty to keep him busy. "That sounds delightful. I haven't begun to sort out my schedule for this week, so you my dear, are going to the top of the list. First come first served" he chuckled a little "so, where and when do we meet?"

“Let me see..” Emily had always been disorganized, mostly to get under her father’s skin, but there was a small part of her that just didn’t fully understand the reason to be neat and perfect about everything involving, well everything, in her life. “Here we are, I have two functions in three days, both are here in Persephone City . They are also a little later in the week, Wednesday and Friday, if I can hold you captive that long.” She looked up from her small day planner and back at the screen, offering a playful smile to the man.
She had to look him over again, he was a few years older than her, just the way she liked men. His hair was dark, though his eyes were blue, something she didn’t pick up from his pictures. As she looked back up to meet the man’s eyes she leaned back into her chair a little watching him. She went to touch her hair, a nervous habit she use to have, but her long locks were long gone, her most recent change to herself. “Do you know how to fence?” She asked at last after a long moment of silence, she had been trying to figure out a way to ask the man, but being blunt about it seemed best. She originally assumed all companions knew how, though she was sadly disappointed by her last one, though that was several years ago.

Percy laughed. "That shouldn't be a problem Ms Rider, I'm sure we can think of something to do" he said giving his voice a little suggestive tone when he said the word 'something' "and yes I do know how to fence, though I must say it's been awhile since I've done it for sport". He noticed her checking him out and smiled, blushing just a hair, the woman on the cortex was younger than him but, legal. She didn't look much over her twenties, which was fine with him. Youth tended to have more fire in them anyway.
Tapping his screen again, he looked up his ships current flight path and schedule "I can arrive at Persephone within the day if I rush the Captain, or tomarrow if we continue at our current speed. I'm currently on board a merchant vessel and Persephone is our next stop. Will that inconvenience you at all?" he asked, giving her a genuinely concerned look.

Emily smiled when he spoke of 'something'. She guessed that's what it boiled down to, doing something, at least, with him it seemed, it would be entertaining. Then another happy surprise, he knew how to fence. A little grin crossed her lips, she loved sword play. She never fully understood why it was so important to her, just that it was. Perhaps it had to do with her father and his skill with a sword, or perhaps it was the elegance of the blade. No, it was of no matter, she was speaking to a good looking man who was looking to see when they could meet.
Her head tilted from the left to the right a little and she leaned forward as she listened to his plans. It was Monday now, even if he appeared Wednesday, she suspected he would be there long before her brother's birthday. Her brother, always busy with the family business, enjoyed his night life. "No need to rush, while I would enjoy your company, I'm sure your captain has other concerns." She gave him a cunning smile. "Besides, the time might give you the opportunity to practice." She winked at him playfully. She had fenced most of her life, and she was looking forward to trying her luck at at a companion. She was good at what she did, but she still was not at the level of her father, and in some cases, she was still no expert at the sport. However, that didn't stop her from enjoying it.

Percy smiled genuinely "I thank you for the opportunity. I have a feeling I'll need it. I'll see you at the East Down Docks the day after tomarrow then. I'll wait at the Arrivals and Departures stand unless you have another suggestion. Oh, one more question if I may, if you do not arrive within a reasonable time, which I seriously doubt will happen considering the state of this ship but, better safe than sorry, where should I look for you Ms. Rider?"
By the time Percy arrived at the East Down Docks on Persephone, a day and a half had gone by. He had been keeping busy as best as he could during the time, practicing his fencing techniques but, mechanical failure and fuel deficiency had slowed them down. Then when everything had finally been repaired, they were waylaid by bandits during their trip in The Black. The Bandits had been fought off so quickly by the mercenary vessel's crew that the bandits fortunately hadn't been able to take anything of real importance but, there had been injuries. Percy himself sported a bruised rib and a few scrapes that were fortunately concealable. During the fighting, Percy had had to resort to his fencing skills, unorthidox as they were. He'd known that his skills weren't up to par but, he hadn't realized just how much he'd let those skills lax. He'd contacted Miss Emily Rider as soon as he knew how far behind they were going to be. Percy just hoped that she wasn't too put out by the delay.
Walking from the steaming heap of metal, Percy looked among the throngs of people, hoping to catch sight of one Miss Emily Rider. He wore a black trouser, white muscle shirt underneath his finer silk white button up shirt, a pair of expensive looking black shoes, and a black dress jacket that he had thrown over his shoulder. He carried with him his trusty cane, a holstered old gun, and a suit case that carried his clothes, makeup and a set of wigs.
Setting his suit case by his side, he leaned up against the departures and arrivals stand and waited for Emily to arrive.
