[January 19th, 2523 - Early Afternoon] Drusilla stood outside the Bjorn Star, she simply stared at it for a few moments. She'd been away for near a week now, luckily there'd been a job offer not long after they landed on Persephone. Though sadly it was one that required her full and undivided attentions. There had been no lies to anyone, not Lars, not Jordan. The details however, were very few and the mercenary had no intention of revealing anything further. That was part of her job. People who hired the kind of people Dru was didn't want anyone else to find out their dirty little secrets. She was back now, the job was done and money had changed hands. Which was good considering the box in the woman's hands had cost a pretty penny. Custom made items were usually like that, her own custom weapons had been nearly double the amount that the box had cost. It was now or never, time to push forward and rejoin the ship that Dru called home. The place where she was somehow the choice of first mate to a captain she still wasn't sure deserved the title. Drusilla entered the ship, her dufflebag over her shoulder the pistols at her hips in their holster, the daggers in the sheaths where they belonged. There was an ornate box held tightly in the mercenary's hands and a slightly nervous look about her. She'd never been good at gifts, but she had missed Jordan and wanted to give her something special. The clicking of her boots along the floor of the cargo bay were echoing as she moved further into the ship. It was curiously quiet around. "Anyone home?" Dru called out into the ship, hoping at least someone was here. It felt odd to her to have been absent for this long. At least she had made it back in time so Lars didn't have to push back the Star's departure date. ------------------ OutfitOrnate Box

“And this connects to this, which makes this little light right here…” Jordan laid on her back, hidden just inside of the cargo bay, the doors were starting to have an issue opening and closing and with Dru gone, Jordan’ couldn’t find time to sleep. However, for now, she pushed against the panel in the wall setting it back into place, and the light turned green. “Who’s the best mechanic ever!” She almost squealed to herself, four hours trying to get the light to register all clear.
Jordan laid there for a moment her eyes drifting closed when she heard a voice. However, it wasn’t just any voice, it was the voice of someone the mechanic has been waiting to her from. Sitting up, and promptly hitting her head against the small exit, Jordan fell back and laid there for a few more moments. After her world stopped spinning, she wiggled out from the wall and looked over to Dru.
How long had it been? A week? A few days? She couldn’t remember, everything seemed to blend into one giant day. The red head’s eyes locked on Dru’s form and the girl stood and ran towards, when she was close enough she hugged her close her eyes closed just enjoying the feeling of being around Dru again. “God, I am so glad you are back!” She small woman walked around her friend, well she was more than a friend at this point, and looked up into her eyes. “I missed you…” Jordan left out the part where she was worried about her. Scared she would never see Dru again. Though for the moment, Jordan’s eyes lit up and she stood on her toes to try and kiss her.

"Do I get a kiss too?" Lars asked, as he walked up the ramp in time to see the last bit of the reunion., "I've been gone for a while too..." He stepped just inside the door, and leaned against the wall with an unreadable expression on his face. "But more importantly, when did the prodigal daughter return?" He raised one eyebrow, and then looked away to brush what looked like a tooth out into the dirt. "Always making a mess...." He muttered, before returning his gaze to the two women.
"You just missed the party.." he said, airily to Dru with a grin. "There were noses to punch a plenty." He shook his head in mock sorrow, "Pity you were off doing secret things.." He spied the box in her hand, "You brought us presents? Or do I have to kiss you for one?" He mocked a hopeful smile, and puckered his lips up "You'll have to come over here to get it though..."

It didn't take long for Dru to receive a proper welcome, from Jordan no less. As expected there were hugs to be had, though the mercenary didn't mind them so much when they came from the feisty redhead. Dru hugged her in return, "It's good to be back. Hope I didn't miss too much fun around here." There was even a smile that had come across her lips as Jordan pulled back slightly, "I missed you too of course." Dru bent down to close the small gap between their heights so their lips could meet. Yes she definitely missed her mechanic, more than she had realized until now.
A voice broke through the welcoming committee, it was Lars. Of course, he usually had that kind of timing or so it seemed. Drusilla turned to face him at the comment about being a prodigal daughter. "Excuse me?" There was a slight annoyance in her voice, Dru had never thought of herself as reckless or wasteful.
As he continued she crossed her arms across her chest. Not even back on the ship for ten minutes and she already felt like punching the man. Though at the mention of secret things she did have to grin, "Don't be jealous that I get paid so well for what I do...I brought Jordan a present, not 'us.' The grin of course didn't last long. 'The only kiss you'll ever get from me Lars is with my fist, if you'd like I could give you a taste now." The good mood that Jordan had put the mercenary in had sadly faded and not lasted near long enough.

Jordan looked at Lars and glared, however nothing could bring down her cheer now that Dru had returned. “Don’t mind him, he’s still grumpy he has to buy me a new engine part since he hit someone with my last one.” The mechanic looked back up into Dru’s eyes, she had missed her, more than she could ever truly say. However, there was cheer to spread. “Now that you are home, I’m going to make a cake and some dinner, come on.” She turned from Dru, a happy smile plastered on her face as she walked over to Lars. Her hands behind her back, and with Lars still a little ways down the ramp. She leaned forward and kissed his cheek. “I still love my Cap’n even when he’s grumpy.”
She didn’t know what had gotten into her, from the moment Dru left, until now, she had been very moody and under the weather. Now with her return, it was almost like a missing piece of Jordan had appeared with her. The mechanic turned her back Lars and proceeded to move back to Dru hooking her arms around one of the mercenary’s and started to walk towards the common area. “You didn’t have to get me anything.”

Lars flashed a hard to read look at Dru. "In the past 2 hours, I have had a drunken mob, a very confusing encounter with a rather strange captain, got shot at, and dealt with a mess of work clearing up and reporting the reavers." He shook his head ever so slightly. "So pardon me if I am a little less likely to kiss you than Jordan seems to be. I promise, it isn't you it's me." He sighed and looked at Jordan as she spoke. "You know, if you didn't leave your parts lying around every which place, you might not have to worry about people borrowing them. But next time, I'll make sure to let the pilot get brutalized while i find another weapon to use on his attacker."
He obediently leaned down so she could kiss his cheek. "Don't think that gets you out of fixing the engine. I want everything ready to go before you and Dru go play dress up or whatever." He reached into his pocket, and pulled out a package, "I shouldn't give you presents, but here." He tossed it to her. "They had fresh strawberries, and I seem to remember something about a lack of non freeze dried food."
He smiled, "But seriously now, get what you need and get things squared away BEFORE you get distracted." He nodded at Dru, "Good to have you back." then he headed off up the stairs. "I'll be in my office, for real this time." He strode off, hoping nothing else interesting happened today. He stopped at the top of the stairs, and turned, remembering one last thing. "Oh, and by the way, If you two are going to have a thing,or whatever you want to call it, someone should tell Trace, and I don't want to see it. Clear?" He didn't wait for an answer, and headed off. "Have fun kids." He called as he left.

Dru didn't know why Lars always had the tendency to drive up her temper. Perhaps it was some deep down anger that he was the captain of what should be the Southern Star. She really had no idea though. As she listened to him ramble on, it might be just that in her own opinion he has little control over his own emotions and such. Or little understanding. Why did he think that she cared if he did or didn't want to kiss her? Like she would even want that. Also not that it was her fault he got himself in trouble, was she expected as the first mate to follow him around like a puppy to help keep him in check? Dru pushed aside the small flame of confusion and anger, to allow the mechanic to do her cheery attitude thing. Something the mercenary had never been good at. "Sure." Was Dru's only response to Lar's comment about having her back. She stood there with her arms across her chest until Jordan returned. As the man left she couldn't help but roll her eyes at him, "He keeps referring to me as 'kid' I'm going to make sure he will never have any himself." Her voice had been cold at that, but once Jordan's touch hit her she felt calmer. The anger in her faded almost fully. "Well I wanted to..you can think of it as an early Valentine's present if you'd like. Since I'm not sure if I'll have the money then to do something as nice." At least she hoped it was nice, part of her was nervous about the present. It wasn't like some jewelry or anything. Dru didn't believe in spending a whole lot on things that weren't so useful. As they entered the common room the mercenary took a seat and sat the ornate box on the table, looking at Jordan. "I hope you like it Jor..." There was a bit of the nervousness showing in her. As much as she tried to push it aside, some of it still came through. ------------ Gift; There's a pair of them with one full clip for each.
