John walked up to the Dragonfly class, duffel bag slung over his shoulder as he appraised it. This was probably the Rayya.
"Well, it looks sturdy enough, at least."
He walked in through the open cargo bay, dropping his bag on the floor and looking around. It was a nice ship. Bit dirty, but that didn't mean much if it still worked.
"Hello? Captain Kara Monroe? My name's John Roebuck."
Hopefully she wouldn't mind him taking a look at the ship real quick. Being a scavenger, he had an eye for the way things should fit together. The armor and general framework of the Rayya looked fairly sturdy, and the engines seemed pretty decent from the outside, though he would need a better look at them when he could.
"Captain?"
He began to check out the cargo bay in more detail as he waited. Running his hands over the walls, he searched for hidden panels or other hiding spots. Older ships like this usually had a few hidden nooks somewhere, which is why they were so popular with folks like him. He stood up, straining his ears as he thought he had heard something, but not seeing anyone. On hand impulsively strayed to the gun on his hip.
"Hello?"

Kyla was still getting things settled in the med-bay. They had gotten enough supplies to last awhile, depending on how much they needed to be used. She wasn't a fan of violence so there was hope in her that it wouldn't be too often. At least the major problems for the Rayya had been fixed, thanks to the woman Syeira. Which also meant that Ky was free to concentrate on her studies and such since Skye was taking care of the cooking now. Not that she disliked cooking of course, but it was something that took her attentions away. The ship had slowly begun to feel like home, she had even started to talk to Kyla. Which made her more comfortable about the Rayya. It seemed like she just needed to be fixed up a bit before opening up. Ky was sorting one of the cabinets when she heard an echo from the ship that sounded like a voice. At first she just ignored it thinking he sister would take care of whoever it was. They had been expecting a mechanic of sorts so with any luck that's who it was. He could finish up the small repairs on the Rayya while they rounded up a pilot and whoever else they could recruit. Then they could be up in the air. She heard the voice call out again, 'Captain.' Apparently Kara had left the ship or was possibly in another area where she couldn't hear. She wasn't going to keep the man waiting, though as she pulled her head out from inside the cabinets there was a light bump sound and a gasp escaped her lips. The blonde was rubbing her head as she exited the infirmary and made her way into the cargo bay. Once the man came into view she smiled her usual cheery smile. After a few more steps Kyla noticed his hand, instincts told her to stop, so she did. Though her smile didn't falter, "Hi there. I'm Kyla, Kara's sister and the medic.' Her hand dropped from rubbing her head to give him a friendly wave. 'So..you're gonna be our mechanic huh? It's nice to meet ya." She still felt a little uneasy with his hand on the gun, but she held her ground. ---------------- Outfit

Kara stood in her office looking at her ship’s plans, she needed a better arrangement for the Bruce children. As she had it currently they took up two of her passenger dorms. Did that matter? Well perhaps now but there had to be something else she could do with them. Children, she always enjoyed the children at the academy, however, they were trained. These children, Kara shuttered just thinking about them, they seemed well enough, but like most new things, it always took her a while to warm up to them.
The captain reached over and tapped her small music device, the tunes filled her room as she limped her way over to her bed. The current plan, the mechanic should be on his way soon, she should be able to show him his room, get him to work, and they would be in the sky, well as soon as Kara could find a pilot that the Rayya didn’t disagree with. “You need to relax baby so we can get in the air.” She was never a fan of staying in places for a long period of time. Being hunted, well, it was another reason to get off this planet as fast as possible.
It wasn’t until the music clicked off again that Kara started to hear voices. Groaning she stood slowly and limped her way towards her office. She carefully pulled her revolver from her desk and slid it on her hip before leaving her office to enter the hallway. The seasoned vet hated how she currently moved the cast hindered movements, and more than that, Kara felt it displayed a weakness. “Ky?” It wasn’t until she entered the cargo bay that she saw her sister. She was standing before a man and Kara couldn’t help but smile. Her sister, the resident welcome wagon. Well, at least he got to see the better half of the twins before Kara had her chance to get her claws in him. Not that Kara didn’t enjoy meeting new people….
She had to face it, she hated meeting new people, putting on a fake smile and trying to place nice. She was always down to business, it’s what made her sister nice to have around, one of the two of them had to be the good guy. Kara slowly made her way down the stairs to meet the stranger. Her eyes took note of his hand and hers rested gently on her own, though she extended her free hand to him when she was close enough. “Hello there, I’m Kara.” Her eyes kept locked with his.
