Healing wounds takes a good bit of time for every part of the body to come back. Yet when the wound is worldwide time becomes a reliative term. An in as much, one Dr. Ai Tsuchiya is trying to keep this wounded world going. - She and Corran Boid her friend and companion. Their current tranportation was on major fritz, an over haul that would put a needed medical run to Hera three weeks off. Ai had to get that medicine there very soon. She had a few days window for her allowed landing codes. Then if it lapsed it would be two more weeks before she was in this place again. - She had contacted a ship in port for an impromto cargo run. She hoped that the ship and the crew would be reliable. To make an impression on the captian and showing her station she wore her most expensive dress that she had, an core world style from a highly desired desiner. In royal red the dress hugged every inch of her till it flared at the knee. A snow white laced scarf wrapped around her neck to hide the high collar of her dress. The only skin she was showing was her bare arms. - She along with Corran moved down the docks to the Raven. She was impressed that the Raven was another firefly class. Their last ship was the same class. Ai moved to the outer ramp of the Raven. - Hollering into the hold---'Is anyone here? Captian. I'm Dr. Tsuchiya I'm here for a medical run that I waved you about. - Ai turned to Corran and shrugged. He proceeded over to the hold's door main support frame and banged his left arm upon it. Ai cringed knowing that that arm was her master piece and a cybornetic arm shouldn't be used as a hammer. Still it worked as each hammer fall rang out in the hold.

A young looking blonde, with dark brown eyes, and slim body heard the call from her bunk. She came out of it like a flash. In a dark red tank top, dark bra, green cargo pants, dark boots, and a gun strapped to her hip. She started down the stairs with a resigned sigh.
Jadyn came down the stares, her hair tied back with a bit of string she'd found, and smiled a little at the doctor. "No need to bang about." she said a bit sharply. The raven was her ship, and she didn't need damage to her. But then she noticed the cybernetic arm. Oh. She turned sharp eyes on the man, then looked at the woman, in her best dress, looking completely out of place in the docks. "I'm Jadyn Hyde. This is Raven. If you'll take us, we'll be gettin' you to where you need to be." she said with a calm look. She was always in control, if a bit cold. "Dr. Tsuchiya right?" she added, half eyeing the man, but not saying anything.

"Jesus Christus! Was zum Teufel?" Friedrich said loudly to himself at the sound of someone pounding on his ship. The mechanic pulled himself out through the bottom of the port-side engine and fell the few remaining feet to the ground below. He pulled himself up but didn't even bother to dust himself off. The combination of engine grime and now dirt covered him and would need more than a quick brushing to remove. Friedrich picked up the remaining plates on the ground and carried them toward the front of the ship lest some of the local scavengers make off with his pieces.
There were two people at the ramp, apparently the source of the noise, and Jadyn had arrived to deal with them... good. The mechanic wouldn't really be in the mood to talk even if he didn't have any work to do and if this pair hadn't announced themselves by pounding on his girl. As he arrived behind them he began to wonder why he even bothered to leave his work. That engine had a good twenty minutes of work left in re-plating the interior. He was so close to having it done and with their deadline for take-off closing in, it needed to get finished. The engine would actually preform worse than before if it was only partially plated. He had not been hired to make the Raven run worse than before.
(Jesus Christus! Was zum Teufel? - Jesus Christ! What the hell?)

Fire was cleaning his guns in his shuttle, when he suddenly heard loud banging on the cargo door. He looked up curiously and tried to think of a reason why someone would be banging on their ship. He could remember something about a transferring a doctor to a core planet, so maybe it was her or him. He decided it wouldn't do any harm, to be part of a welcoming comitee and put his brown t-shirt on. He carefully laid the gun parts back where they belonged and got out of his shuttle.
As he entered the cargo bay, he saw the captain had already arrived and was handling the situation. He stayed on the second floor and hang against the railing to get a better view on the case. When he saw the Doctor, who was apparently called: Dr. Tsuchiya, he raised his eyebrows. She had a beautiful dress on, one that only showed her arms. She, herself, was also a very beautiful woman, but not the one for Fire. She was a bit too beautiful, the kind of beautiful you would almost call fake. Fire didn't like that. He gave Friedrich a quick look as he entered the bay and looked back at the captain, trying intercept to the exact plans for the following weeks.

Ai liked the straight forwardness of the Captian. Patting Corran on the shoulder she tried to ease his nerves as she knew that the crew and anyone else with in the ship would soon pour forth, which she was right. Corran had already felt the mechanic coming on the ramp and slyly drew his desert eagle from it's quick draw holster. Ai looked at him and tugged at his sleave. The look of behave yourself was made clear and very understandable.
Still she could tell that he was still very untrusting of the current crew and situation. She even saw him fingering the tip of the hidden reaver blade he always carried on his right leg.
Taking a forward aproach Tsuchiya moved to shake the Captian's hand and to hopefully settle Corran's mind.
'Sorry for the short warning, and thanks for helping us out. The supplies that I'll be needing to pick up are at St. Lucy on Ariel, if that is not a problem. The medical board's transportation units are swamped and will compensate you ship and crew for the run along with my own funds, totalling 150,000. The equipment and five year supplies are the main and only help I could manage for them. Sadly my request for a more permanet doctor has yet to be heard. So in short once to Ariel and then to Hera where I will get off and distribute the supplies and hopefully Corran will be not far behind.'
She tried to give one of her winning smiles but Corran's shuffling feet made it a bit hard to concentrate. Well anything involving him made her think harder and longer.
She noted a bit of movement from above on a railing and looking up she smiled and waved at a what she would call trouble. She knew a gun hand when she saw one yet to what extent she did not know or want to. Most were trouble like Corran and yet seemed to draw people and attention where they went.
'If that is OK I do have a crate of my own personal affects and equipment. Hopefully they won't be needed.'
Corran dragged the crate over to an empty spot and using his left side he stepped down and shoved the crate off of the hand fork with one simple move that ended in a solid thump of the crate. Corran rotated his shoulder and bounced his left leg before moving back to Ai. Stepping up to her he nodded and place his right hand on the small of her back. Looking at the Captian he nodded and reached out with his left arm. Where he had banged on the super structure some of the synflesh was missing or hanging loose.
"Cap. I think you and your ship will be good enough for her. If ever you need extra help on any thing just call. The ship is well taken care of and it reflexs the love held with in her. You have my thanks.
Taking Tsuchiya's left hand he kissed it and left. Ai blushed for a bit.
'Sorry about him he is a bit too protective some times.'

The blonde woman didn't look around as some of her crew made their way to her side. Her eyes were on the pair before her. She wasn't afraid of the man. Probably had something to do with the fact that she didn't fear much, and that she did fear she faced. She saw the man go for his gun, and her hand slipped to her own, but not as subtly. She stared at the man as his hand went to knife after that. Protective much?
"Corran could come with us. And the payment doesn't matter so much, as helpin' those that need it." she told the doctor easily, her face blank. She watched the pair of them. "As long as you don't bring to much trouble on Raven, I'm sure we'll get along." she didn't turn as the woman waved to Fire. She knew he was there, as she knew that her mechanic was at the bottom of the ramp. "Behind you is Friedrich, our Mechanic, and the man lookin' like a Hawk is Owlson. He rents the shuttle." she said with a slight smile.
Then the man was talking to her, holding out his hand. She took it and shook it firmly. "Your welcome, if you ever need a lift, call, we'll be there." she liked him. He was scard, but who wasn't in this day and age? She looked at the woman. "It's no problem Doctor. If you'll come with me, we can find you a room. We'll be taking off for Ariel with in the next two hours. I'm sorry for the Delay, but we've had a little trouble with the local color." she said with an easy smile, and turned, actually glaring at Hawk. "Get the rutting hell down from there. I don't need a raptor watchin' all the time." she snapped at him, half annoyed. "Friedrich? How's she doin'?"

Ah, yes. This is why he came down to investigate and back up the captain. The man or... whatever he was, that was with the woman drew steel in response to Friedrich's approach. The mechanic instinctively went for his sidearm as well but luckily the woman calmed her companion before anything more came of it. Friedrich kept his hand on his weapon despite the minor scaling down posture of his potential opponent who had moved his hand to a large blade instead. They were acting as if they were the contracted who might walk into a trap, not the contractors who would be the ones actually walking into the dark.
When Jadyn introduced him, Friedrich only scowled harder at the two new comers. With equipment in one hand and his other resting on his gun there was no chance he was going to way. There was actually no chance he was going to wave even if both of his hands were free. He didn't like the look of Corran and the combination with the woman only made him distrust her too.
"Engines are rebuilt externally as best as possible for two days verk, minus tventy minutes still to go on ze port-side." Friedrich reported when asked. "All paneling has been gone ofer and veak points replaced. As far as interior goes, I haf mission critical repairs at ninety-fife percent. Ze rest I can do in flight mit ze materials stocked."
(Verk - work, tventy - twenty, ze - the, ofer - over, veak - weak, haf - have, fife - five, mit - with.)

Fire quickly pulled his gun as the man with the Doctor grabbed for his own. He cocked it and gave the man warning look. But the Doctor already made her man put his gun back and Fire followed his example, but still rested his hand on the gun as he knew he couldn't trust this overprotective man. He was proven right as the man rested his hands on a hidden reaver blade. Fire kept watching him, but also tried following the conversation between the captain and the doctor.
He raised his eyebrows as the Doctor now waved at him, he was confused why she did it. He was staring at her of course, maybe it was a sign to reassure him. He didn't know, but he didn't stop staring either. He was ready to draw his gun at any moment. After that the Doctor just continued the conversation and Fire diverted his attention back to the man, but also watched the Doctor as she was acting a bit suspiciously.
Finally the man left and Fire let his hand go back to it's relaxing state on top of his other arm on the railing. Suddenly the captain addressed him and sounded quite annoyed. He immediatly pushed himself away from the railing. "Of course captain", he appologized, even though he thought he had done the right thing. He ran down the stairs and joined them.

Ai watched with a calm eye of a doctor to the reactions of the crew. The german mechanic she thought was abit funny to her for she liked his broken english attemps. - She nodded to the captian turning to the crate she removed a travel bag and followed her. Sorry again for Corran he's not one for many people. I fear for him. Have you ever met a reaver survivor? Poor Corran was very young when it happened, in the insuing raid, on the ship him and his mother were on, his mother was rapped and gutted before his eyes while he was locked in an escape pod before it launched leaving him to die in the cold of space. So now he has fits when he gets too worked up. Being alone or around very few people is often best for everyone.' Looking at the one who came down from on high....'It's especially so for one's who smells of blood and death, isn't that right. Yet this trip I feel will go well for all of us and Corran will be fine.'

The tall woman watched Ari, and nodded. She wasn't in any hurry, and for now, she'd wait it out and see what would happen. She watched everyone and let herself relax.
"It's fine. I've dealt with reavers." she said with a quiet look at the woman then away. She wasn't really worried about the man. Corran was just another man. Just another person. She looked at the woman as she spoke blood and death. "War, on any level, will break a person. Reaver's are always at war, but they fight in ways that even the most uncivilized would abbhore. I don't blame him."

Things were slowly calming down and the captain didn't seem as interested in talking about Friedrich's work as actually seeing it get done so the mechanic decided to make his exit. He gave their visitors one last scowl before shooting a quick glance to Fire to make sure he was still on guard just in case. And with that he walked back off the ramp and around to the side engine. There was no sense in wasting any more precious time that could be applied toward improving the ship.

Fire looked down as he heard her words. He knew she was also talking about him, meaning she had seen through him. Not many people succeeded to, most of them were just scared of his hawklike glares. Fire joined the three of them and just watched to conversation, still prepared to grab for his gun at any moment. He hoped they would soon chance the subject though, because he didn't like talking about the war and death. He had seen enough of that in his life. He looked up as he noticed Friedrich was about to leave. He nodded to make it clare to him that he could take care of it, if things would escalate.

Ai nodded to Jadyn and followed her further into the ship she couldn't wait to get underway seeing St. Lucy was one side benefit but what bothered her the most was the posiable incounter with her family.
Smiling wide eyed....'I just love fireflies the Iron Maiden was a bit more used than this one. It also had more guns percapita, that is on the inside. Yet Corran could make her stand up and beg to be driven hard and fast. It's amazing what a sling shot around the event horizion of a black hole will do for speed and fuel costs.
Ai loved flying.
Bugger! I almost for got.
Running back to the cargo bay and removed a plastic wrapped object. Through the clear wrapping you could see what looked like a human left arm.
For the spare time when I can't sleep.
She sheepishly grins at Jadyn and then at Fire.
