Final Bout Idea

OK...so here we go, this is my idea for the Final Bout


It's a bar right

so why don't we make a thread and name it the final bout and leave it open. People can treat it just like a bar when ever the planet side they can just pop in or out of the bar, they can go in there and drink or place bets on a fight or even get in the ring them selves. My point is there are down times in rping when you waiting for other to post so let's give them some to post at that wont affect there time lines. I came to this idea based on how bbb blew up, and that was just one night. I figure as long as the person posted the date at the top of there post then it would not matter when it was, and one persons post doesn't need to coincide with thee post above it.

Just an idea would love to here some feed back on it

It's a fine idea when you have a bunch of drifters with nothing to do like we had with BBB. However, the site typically is the complete opposite of that with hardly any drifters who can simply drop into random locations and chill out. I don't know, if we continue with a substantial set of drifters then I think it could be good to have a communal place that acts like their own ship's galley where they can RP a social atmosphere.

But is that the plan for most drifters? I think most of you (those involved in the thread and Drifters in general) are trying to get onto ships, and I'd think that any group of drifters that hangs out all the time and becomes good friends would almost certainly go off on jobs together and leave their drifting lifestyle.

Probably the best application of this idea is to just make a general area that is basically designated as a suggested location for Drifters to congregate, e.g. a certain bar on a certain planet. You need not have one giant, lengthy, confusing thread that lasts for days, weeks, or months. You can just have one venue that has a very storied past. Anyone horribly bored in RP can stop in to the establishment and get their bar scene on. It would basically be what St. Lucy's is for medical threads and returns from the dead.

I get what you saying, but i guess my point is that as a new member to this site when i loaded it up every day the first thing i hit is new topics to see whats going on. If these post where all in one place the it would always be at the top of the list. We could even go as far as the first post explian what this thread is for, stating figure out what planet your on, and figure out what the is to do there. Then at the top of your post name what system,planet, and city your in and then go in to what your doing. As it stands right now other than starting my own thread there isnt much in your face info about how to get going, luckily for me my brother is an admin and he is the one who got me in this site and had helped me along.
