Poet Seeks a Ship/Mates

My character, Ned, is getting fairly tired of living a quiet little life. If anyone would like to join her in a thread (anywhere is fine) or knows of a ship she could stay on for a while and pay her passage with poetry and what little money she's picked up selling streetside caricatures, I'd be most grateful.

I know this is rather vague, but I'm really looking for just about anything.
