Dead Canyon Docks, Haven; May 7th 2523
It had been nearly two months now since the Trinity had set down on Ariel and Sidney went back in to the hospital. Kalli had waited around for a week so so with Tristrim before she set off on her own path. She had let them know she was going to go back to Beaumonde to see her family. Though she knew they would not be there. Her mother had long sense passed and her father was who knows where, honestly though she had no intentions of seeing him. She had set out to visit her mothers grave.
Once she had done that she left Beaumonde for Haven. Sidney had told her she would always have a safe place to go there. When she arrived she had found Sidney's old place, a dust filled cabin in the small town of Dead Canyon Docks. It wasn't anything special and had little to offer but the town had a space port and its most common business was ships touching down for repairs.
When she arrived she had taken a few days to get to know the place and finally she found herself work there as well. By day she spent her time working in a repair shop and at night at a local bar. It wasn't much of a place maybe two dozen people came in a night, all regulars to the place. Tonight was no different, she would spend her time talking to the locals and learning about the town and planet. Most of them had never been off the planet and only a hand full of people had really gotten to know Sidney. Those who had though seemed to think highly of him.
A man walk in to the bar and sat right in front of her. "The usual beautiful." The man said to her. She smiled at him and poured up his drink.
"Here you go Carl." She said as she set the drink in front of him. "So whats tonight peice of news?" She asked. Carl was there every night she worked and most likely all the ones she didn't as well. Sence the first day she met him she would tell her a little story, nothing big, about someone from the town.
"Well sweetie, i got a story about your old friend Sidney for you tonight. He began to tell her as he picked up his drink. "Rumor is Haven is where he is from originally, though I can't saw if this is the town his family was from or not."[/color]
She began to wipe the counter as he spoke "That much I already know." She retorted to his initial comment. She had learned that from Carl before, so this was something she already knew.
"True enough I have told you that part before. What I hadn't told you is about his family. From what I can gather from the old trap is that his parents were smugglers. The sort that don't deal well with people ya know. Never did get a chance to talk to either of them but I hear his father has died not sure about his mother. If i knew her name I am sure I could track her down but Sid refuses to talk about them. Seems it's a bit of a sensitive subject for him."
She smiled on she had never really thought about Sidney's family before. To her she always just thought about Sidney as like a parent to her sence shortly after they met. To think of Sidney as being young well that just seemd odd to her. "Alright Carl i'll accept that. First drink is on me like usual." She told him as she kept going down the counter cleaning it.
