Leighton walked into the infirmary and gestured to the gurney in the room as he pulled out one of infirmary's computer tablets and began to take some loose information - eyeballing height and weight, skipping age completely, and so on. It was a checkup, and he figured having a file started couldn't hurt, but he didn't feel like the mundane things at the moment.
Finally, in the "Reason for Visit" part of the file, he wrote simply: "Hit in head with can". He set the tablet down and looked at Penny.
"So, Penny, do you remember where you got hit?" He took out his pen light and started to check her pupils. "Any memory problems, slurring, anything? I didn't notice anything, but you'd be more apt to answer that question than me."

Penny followed the doctor to the infirmary. His wallet stuck out of his back pocket, just screaming to be lifted from it. But she had to restrain herself, after all she wasn't on the streets of Persephone anymore and she had also noticed that Rade had taken a liking in the doctor, which probably meant the guy was okay. And if the guy was okay for Rade, then the guy was okay for Penny.
When the doctor gestured at the gurney Penny sat down on it and waited for him as he filled in some kind of paper. She had already explored the infirmary before, and she knew that with all the meds they had onboard, she could make a small fortune if she sold them on the streets of Persephone, or to people from the outer rim who came to Persephone to search for medication. Penny never paid a dime for medication though. Whenever she needed some for her or her family, she'd just go out and steal it.
Penny let the doctor check her pupils. When he asked if she had any problems, Penny felt at the bump on her head. For some reason it felt all hot.
"No memory problems here doc." Penny answered. "Although I can't remember Rade being such an ass."
The last bit was a bit of a joke, although Penny had noticed Rade had changed over the last couple of years. But she knew that had a reason, and she wondered whether or not the doctor knew.
There was one problem with her head though. Since Rade had awakened her so roughly, she had a throbbing in her head that just wouldn't fade away. It wasn't so painful, but it was rather annoying.
"Got a bit of a pulse going on where the can hit me though." Penny answered. "It doesn't hurt but it's kinda annoying."

((sorry for the long absence; since it seems like everyone's heading back to the main thread, i"ll just wrap it here))
Leighton nodded and walked over, grabbing a couple of pills from the cabinet and handing them to her with a glass of water.
"I think it's just gonna be a bump." He parted her hair to examine the wound, to make sure. "Maybe bruising, it'll probably be sensitive for a couple days." He grabbed a cold pack out of another drawer and handed that to her as well. "If, when we end up planetside, you notice any pressure headaches or something like that, let me know. Sometimes the transition to natural atmo can exacerbate head injuries."
She patted her on the back. "And do try to be careful with the crew; they're nice folks, but they're scared of losing their friend forever, to speak nothing of the danger they want to walk into." He smiled at her before gesturing at the door. "You're free to go," he said as he turned to begin tidying up the infirmary.
