Arabella was still getting over the shock that she was actually away from Londinium-again. Of course now her long curls was gone for a much shorter hairdo until she felt a little safer. Arabella didn’t know if her grandmother was still on the lookout to drag her back, again, to try and marry. But something deep down told her that it might not last long. Apparently Nathaniel really had a thing for some girl she had gone to school with. Maybe his family would finally sever this betrothal so she could finally relax. She tossed the wash rag into the bowl of warm water and soap she had gathered.
Right now she was taking care of her tattered dress. She had slipped it off to finally slip into a comfortable skirt with one of her sweaters. Then she turned to the pile of useless fabric. A groan left her lips as she pulled of the useless ring and tossed it onto her bed. Once she made her way to the dining, she pulled out a bag to throw the dress away in. There was no reason for her to keep something that meant nothing and was tattered up. Arabella’s fingers were nimble as she shoved the abnormally huge gown into the bag. At least they had the ring she could sell; it had to be worth a little bit. The rest of the crew could have the dowry and the jewels that were grabbed to divide. They had come in and saved her when there was no reason to and got her out of an unwanted situation.
As soon as she tied off the bag and tossed it in the corner, she then began to run her hand through the short locks. That was one of the first things taken care of once on board; some new girl named helped her cut off her beloved long locks before she was allowed to change. Her body stretched out across her bed as she peered into the unnecessary diamond ring. Arabella set it on the either side of her as she reached her hand underneath her mattress for her…missing journal? Arabella doubled over as she looked to see if it was maybe moved. Nope, it was really gone. She pushed herself off her makeshift bed to open back up her sleeping quarter’s door. With confusion she shouted out, ”Ok whoever took my journal would you please return it?” There was plenty in there she didn’t want anyone to know, like her time with Kyle or her fears from her rape. Not everyone needed to know that.
